6 month alumni weekly checkin 10/11

Sale is going great...We will not even have to have it tomorrow! So tomorrow I am going to have an extra long workout!

Rachel

Hi All! Congrats on the sale Rachel! Woohoo!

Today I did disc 18 Back and biceps! I did do a little better with the pullups. I have to do the easiest method with one leg bent  but that's okay! I find when I'm doing the pullups overhanded it bothers my right wrist so actually do a little better with the chinups and underhand grip. Either way, I did better than last time but I have a Looonnnnngggg way to go!

Okay, I'll be back later. TGIF! Looking forward to the weekend!

Hey Guys,

workout was fun today, step works for me tomorrow.

I'm glad your sale is going so well! That's good news!

Jo, so sorry about the situation at work. That is really hard, and it kind of reminds you how fragile everything is, doesn't it?

I have to be like you these days, just eat a little bit because my body has adjusted already so fast. It's amazing, I would not have thought it would do this. I had two nitrite free hot dogs last week that were left over from camping and I could tell!

Okay...tomorrow is BM2 Scrambled Eggs...ALL OF IT!

Rachel, yes we are getting pummeled with rain right now! It's been pouring all day and even now as I type! We are on a hill so it all rolls down... It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow too.

Okay, here's the juice I made today (similar to the other day):

1/2 bunch kale
1 romaine heart (about 8 or so leaves)
2 lemons
2 apples
about 15 big seedless red grapes
about an 3/4 inch off of a fresh ginger root

Yummy! Then, like before, I sauteed up the pulp and ate it but instead of snapper, I had it with smoked salmon.

Oh, and, I ordered the Cathe calendar! I love those and get one every year! Talk to you all tomorrow!

Cendrine, enjoy Step Works! Is this your first time? I hope you love it! Now I'm thinking maybe I'll do that with you tomorrow! No matter what, I need an intense cardio tomorrow!

Good morning all...
Well the sale went way better than I expected. You know I think DH's way of having a garage sale is a lot less stressful. He said Let's have one tomorrow and then we did and it all worked out. If it was my idea I would have started at least a week ago and stuff would have been strewn from one end of the house to the other!:rolleyes:By the end of the week I would have already been tired and worn out. Don't tell him that though or then he will think that is the way we should do everything. And you know I can not lose control of everything:rolleyes::D

Today was KPC..Everytime I write that it reminds me of KFC:D That's not good. But KPC would be a good thing to do if you ate some KFC...It kicked my butt today. I used to do a kick boxing dvd once a week before I started the rotations and since I have started the rotations it has not come up in a while. They are so much fun. I feel so tough while I am doing them... Plus it seems like my body gets tighter and tighter the longer I am doing them. What a bonus!

It is beautiful and sunny today...Sorry Jo...I can not wait to get outside and play with my stinky dogs!

Jo-I think the one leg bent option is the second easiest...:p We were at a friends the other day and they had this welded iron thing that they were all showing off there pull up skills (you know how guys are) Dh wanted me to try but I did not because I would have been embarrassed if I could not even get one.:D I will have to try in private first. I think it is great that you still aspire to get better at pull ups instead of accepting that is all you can do!!!!!
I will be trying the scrambled eggs soon. It is a perfect time to fit it in to my workouts since we are not working and I can work out as long as I want...or can!
I am sorry about work. That has got to be in a tough position to be in. As nice as you are I am sure you worry about what the others will do even though you have been cut back. Since you were used to working 60 to 70 hrs a week, I bet it was weird with your hrs cutting back.

Kim-You go Girl<--Sorry 90's reference! I am super proud of you for sticking to CLX even though it seemed like it was not as enjoyable as other programs might have been. What are you going to do when you are done.?
I had to smile when you were talking about x-weighted...A show like that would never make it here. It does not sound mean spirited enough. People losing weight just for their health...No prize...Nope...would never work here, lol. I bet their success rate at keeping it off is way better than biggest loser!
Canada sounds so friendly:D

Cendrine- Don't you just love a fun workout. I caught myself swinging my hips just a little more on the shuffles today on KPC. I was really having a lot of fun. That does not happen every time:eek:. I found a good recipe for a chicken and white bean chili/ soup so I was thinking of making it this weekend and letting you know how it goes...Well everyone for that matter. The only thing is that it called for Anaheim chilis and I think I will have to sub poblanos because I don't think I will be able to find the Anaheims' here. We will see.
I am in need of a good but healthy beef stew for dh any one know one?
He is not a big fan of carrots or tomatoes so that makes it a little hard. But he will eat it a little.

OK guys I am off to suck up the sun while I can...Enjoy the DAY!

Rachel

Ok I guess I am the only one with out a life today!
So far I have not got too much accomplished. We did rearrange the living room. Do yall like to do that? I love it. It is like you get a whole different room. I just wish I could throw out all my stuff and get all new:rolleyes:
But it is kind of like getting new...sort of!
I gave my dogs some much needed love and then got caught up watching P.S. I love You...Ughhh. I love that movie. Now we are off to Sam's (our version of Costco) and to eat.

Rachel

Rachel, beautiful sunny day....boohoo! Well, I hope you enjoy it! After all you deserve it after the bad weather you had! I wish I could rearrange my living room but we have this funky step so are very limited!

I know I said I was going to do Scrambled eggs but then remembered I needed to do abs...so I did Cardio Fusion All step premix #1 and STS med ball abs.

I'm in the middle of cleaning and doing laundry so just stopped for this quick note! I need to get to the shower soon (it's already 1:30!)

Here's one more quicky then I'll be back later. Here's what I juiced this morning before my workout! And yes it really gave me a power boost!

1/2 bunch kale
1 romaine heart
one little broccoli flower (and I mean little...)
1 pear
2 small apples
fresh ginger
20 or so red seedless grapes
2 collard green leaves

I shared with DH (he liked it! :D) and felt the boost! It was delicious! A friend at work loaned me her juice recipes so I'm going to go through them to see what she's got. There's a horseradish shot recipe for sinuses...hmmmm

Later gators!

SORRY! It will be another quick post, I hope to get caught up on personals tomorrow.

This weekend has been crazy. Last night was dinner with friends after work. Today schedule has been CLX, hairdresser, pickup up drycleaning, groceries, lunch, get dressed up, go to wedding ceremony, hurry home change take kids to hockey and piano, home to change again then to the wedding reception.:D:D I'm between ceremony and piano lessons right now.:rolleyes: Having a quick snack and cup of coffee. Maybe I'll just go all dressed up to piano lessons so I don't have to change again.

DH's cousin is getting married. It was a beautiful ceremony except it started 30 mins late as the bride and bridesmaids limo broke down on the way to the church. Then one of the bridesmaid fainting leaving the church:confused::confused: Hopefully the rest of the day goes well for them.

The kids and I saw quite the car accident in the mall shopping lot going to our hair appointments this morning. A lady backed up into a park car and ended up with her rear wheels on the roof of the other car :confused: Thank goodness there was no one in the parked car. I don't know what the heck she was doing. I didn't know if I should stay to be a witness but we had so much to do today and there seemed to be lots of other people around so didn't stay:eek:

It's been an interesting day anyways. Tomorrow is a little quieter only swimming, hockey and football. But I think only the boys will do the hockey and football so should have some time to catch with all of you.

Only 1 week of CLX left!!!!

Jo I'm so sorry that things are tough at work. That's got to be so hard.
Rachael Glad the sale went well.
Kim

Hi Guys,

a quick note from me too. I decided to sleep in today because I was out at a meeting late last night, so no Step Works for me. It would have been my first go at it and I will have to schedule it in sometime soon.

We took the kids to a place called Tom's Farms where you can get great produce, there was a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, some fun rides and jump houses, lunch and shopping for some treats (dried plums, pears and Nectarines and local avocado blossom raw honey) Then I had to go do the regular grocery shopping and now I have to start thinking about dinner. It was hot today. I liked the temps dropping but now it was 93 today! Who can ever get used to the new season temps when it keeps going up and down like that?

Kim, I hope you get some time to relax, and though this is too late now, I hope you didn't change, and just enjoy the day.

Jo, your juice sounds great. What's it like eating the pulp and how much of it do you get from one serving of jucing?

Talk to you later!
