Wow it is a late start to our thread today!
Well I have been busier than a cat covering...well you know.:p:D
We started tearing down our gate 2 days ago because we wanted to do it better and so far we just have the new posts in the ground. DH got offered to be an extra in a movie shooting at an air force base near here so he had to leave the house at 3:30 this morning and will not be back until 7 this evening. So, so much for the gate until this weekend. Tomorrow it is back to the real world and work but we have had five days off so I guess it is about time. With the economy like it is I would never turn down a job. We are so fortunate that around here we have not been effected. The other day though we went to a town right near us and noticed several things were closed down. Kind of scary.

Today my workout was supposed to be a 60 min stretch or 60 min cardio. I chose cardio because I needed to but the stretch was tempting! I did the Kickmax bootcamp premix and it totally kicked my butt. I feel like I am getting of shape with my cardio. That is probably not a good thing with sts SC coming. Tomorrow is plyo legs in my rotation and I am sweating bullets just thinking about it. Basically I have taken about 3 weeks off from any real strenuous cardio and I can really tell. So wish me luck.

I am off to find something to do with my chicken that will go with my roasted red pepper pesto pasta and roasted zucchini.

Hope yall are having a great day!

Rachel

Sorry I've been MIA, ds had some trouble with his asthma the last couple of days and we ended up at the ER yesterday. Got him all full of meds now and he's back at hockey tonight:rolleyes: We're been dealing with asthma since he was 18 months, he's always on some meds juts always needing adjustment. The ER doctors were saying what a great job we were doing since we haven't had a ER visit since Nov '08 but we see our pediatrician often.

DS didn't make the top hockey team and now has missed one tryout for the next level but hopes to make it up tonight.

I've started the 3rd phase of CLX and it's hard!!! It's all compound movements with heavy weights so lots of core work.

Jo It's got cold here too! I had to scrape ice off the car windows yesterday morning!

Rachael, that's neat about DH being in a movie! What kind of movie?

With our group being smaller, what do you all think about just doing a weekly thread. Maybe start a new one every Sunday, makes it easier of catching up?

Hi Guys,

I had a busy day today and had not time to check in until now... I did All Step today, it's fun but I'm still feeling it... I hope I get back to normal soon.

It got cold here too, relative to Californians that is... I took the kids to the pool for their swim pe for the day and they were ok as long as they were in the water because it is heated by solar panels, but once you get out, even I was cold and I was not wet... And then it even rained for a couple of minutes!! Here! In Southern California! In September!!!

Not so cold today, though. But it is definitely cooling off some, but here you never know, next week might be hot again. I enjoy the cool for now, not cold enough for sweaters yet...LOL!

Rachel, I too want to know what movie your hubby got to starr in! How fun! But it sure sounds like a lot of time...
Your dinner sounded delish too!

Jo, how was your workout?

Kim, I'm glad ds is up and hockeying again...:) I hope he makes a team!
As far as check ins go, I'm fine with whatever everyone else wants to do, so let's hear what everybody else thinks!
