6 month alumni checkin Thursday

FourAM

Cathlete
Good morning to all!
Our job got put on the back burner through the weekend so here I am been up since 4 am with lunch all neatly packed in my lunch box with no where to go.
It is probably a good thing though because dh is going to need some recovery time from his long day of running and playing marine yesterday. The movie is called Battle: Los Angelas and it stars Erin Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez. She was not there but Erin Eckhart was so dh said he was pretty close to him for alot of the day. He is not really star struck but I think he thought it was pretty cool to be that close to someone we have seen in the movies. He said all day long from about 6 to 6 they basically had to run and board helicopters. Then they would get off and do it again. From what he told me there were several groups of men and he got to be in the group that did the most running. I guess the fittest group. But he was so worn out last night when he got home. He said the movie will probably be a cheese fest but he thought it was a really cool experience. Esp. for someone who lives in a little bity town in TX. I do not believe it is slated to come out for a long time so hopefully it will come out at the movies and even if it looks like the worst movie in the world we will have to go see it.:D

OK now, workout this morning was plyo legs and since I have not gotten up at 4 in a while I was not looking forward to what a challenge it was going to be. Since the last time I did it, I tried to pick one without the half turn jumps:eek:, I told myself I would not do that this time. So I did D29, week two, and although it was really tough, it was not as bad as I thought it would be. I was proud when I was done.

Kim-I think having just one thread a week is a good idea and we just keep that thread going all week long. As long as everyone else is on board, that is fine with me. That way when we need to catch up we can just scroll up. I am sorry about ds asthma. My sister suffered with chronic asthma growing up. She missed so much school that the truant officer would come to our house. Once he got there though he realized she was really sick. I think it had a lot to do with our wood burning stove that we relied on for heat in the winter.

Cendrine-Have you done all your new dvds yet? I am sorry about the lack of energy. I know when I started doing the rotations I was giving them all I had and then some and that is when I started suffering from the over training. Do you think that maybe a combination of you enthusiasm for your new dvds and house guests has gotten you tired and that you might need to take a few days off to get some energy back?

Jo-Where are you?:D

OK I am off to do I don't know what...but I am sure I will find something>

OH yeah I have a Halloween dilema...Every year dh and I go to this party put on by some friends of ours. We have won 1st and 2nd place every year. This year our friends are having to slim down there party due to financial restraints. I have no idea what to be but I feel like if I do not really bring it this year they will think I was not trying. Any ideas. I have been a big black chicken , a vulgar sheep:eek:, and an old black lady. Dh was a viking, a man riding a dinosaur, and last year he was a ghost crab. He sewed that one him self. I am at a loss of what to be. I always try for funny and/or shocking.

Hello! Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I got some unexpected company so I wasn't online and I didn't get to WORKOUT! But alas today I did Disc 14 Legs. I am ashamed to say I could not complete the very last round of the very last triset as my legs would barely hold me up! I think there's a lot of good to doing Meso 1 before jumping into Meso 2! :D But maybe I'll be better when I start week 2 next week. It's not like me to not FINISH the entire workout! And, it wasn't that I didn't have energy...my legs weren't having any part of the last triset!!! Uggghhh!

I agree, starting Sunday or Monday (I like Sundays but I know you girls like Mondays) lets go to a "week of" thread. I was thinking that the other day too so great minds think alike!

I'll be back!

Hi Guys,

just a quick jump in. I did Leaner Legs which I thought was an hour straight legs and come 36min I'm thinking I don't know how much more I can take of this... And then it switched to abs...LOL!

Rachel, I think maybe doing all the dvds that are all new and the visit did a double whammy on me. I'm not really interested in taking a week off.... I hate to say it but I really want to work off some fat I've accumulated over the summer and I just decided to do circuit rotations until further notice to maximize my chances of burning some off.... But I will have to play it by ear, if I am still tired after the weekend, maybe I do need a quick break, we'll see.

Your hubby sure got worked! I thought he would be in a group as bystanders or something... He got a workout! Sounds a little like bootcamp...LOL!

Jo, I think I would not be able to do meso 2 workouts right now either... I would have to build it up again with the tough meso 1 workouts.... And Rachel, for the record, those half turn jumps: I hate them too! LOL!

But I still love working out with Cathe!

Gotta go do some shopping for ds' birthday party. I'll be glad when that is over....

I'm back briefly...

Rachel, won't it be fun to see DH in the movie??! I'll bet it was a great experience for him, and he had lots of fun, burned calories and got to see famous people! Life is good! :D

Regarding those half turns...I don't like those either! Isn't it interesting we were all legs today? :D I am clueless on Halloween ideas as I haven't dressed up in years. But what about something like Batman and Catwoman or Batwoman or something along those lines of super hero characters? I'll think on that tonight and get back to ya!

Cendrine, oh my goodness, isn't it fun doing the circuits? I think throwing in weeks of circuits here and there are very effective! Plus, you get a little weight work and cardio wrapped in one. Do you have the Terminator DVD? You should do the Guantlet. That's probably my very favorite circuit of Cathe's. Also some of the circuit premixes on SB/SJP DVD are fun also.

Hello Kim! I hope DS is better! Were you able to get a workout in today? Yes, I imagine you're already way colder than me. Today though it was 42 when I left the house. Right now it's mid 50's and raining. It's sweaters and jackets! AND, I had to throw an extra blanket on the bed last night!

Gotta go!

Hi again,

Jo, it was cold this morning here too, at least for me it was... I actually wore a cardigan all morning but boy did it get hot outside... I took the kids for a picnic at the park at lunch and no more cool then...! but I put on the thicker sheets because the nights are going to start cooling off nicely now.
You know, circuits used to be my only kind of workouts because I used to only work out three times a week and so I just did three different circuits every week. I haven't done circuits for an extended period of time in a long time. Thanks for the reminder of the circuits on the sb and sjp dvd, I almost forgot about those! I will get that gauntlet, you wait and see!
