Wow I am a starter today. And a late one at that!
Well it was my first day back with Cathe for about 2 weeks (aside from MM last Sunday). I did gym style legs and really worked it hard. At first I kind of was dreading it because I always feel like I will fail in some miserable way when I do a new leg workout...Unfounded because it always turns out way better that I anticipate. So I will just keep worrying about the new leg workouts that way I always come out on top.:D:p I am so glad that I am going to be able to get back to my normal routine. I had the alarm set for 6 today but snoozed until about 6:40 but will have to get my butt out of bed this week so I can start getting up at 4 again starting thursday. I have not had to do that since before we went to the mountains so I will get to see how ling it will take to get used to that again.

Cendrine-I can completely relate about the house guest. We had to different relatives come stay with us for an extended period of time and after the second one left we got rid of our guest bed and converted the room into an office with extra storage. Tacky?:D I am not an entertainer of guest at all. I would much rather go to a party than to host one! I am glad you will have some good ole fashioned quality house time.

Jo-I am looking forward to hearing how the tower effects your chin ups. I have a weider squat rack with a pull up bar but of course I can not do all those chin ups so I put a bb on the lowest it can go and pull up with the supine position. I have not done those since sts was over though so I have probably lost some of that strength. I was able to do a few regular pull ups but I have not tried in a while. Maybe I will have to check that out.

Kim-I do the same thing but my thing is everytime dh and I watch movies we used to make this huge bowl of popcorn with different snacks mixed in. Very very bad. But now everytime we watch a movie, I crave that salty concoction. Sometimes I give in and have a very slimmed down version of what it used to be but I still feel I am giving into a habit. The only way I have been able to avoid it all together is to be full when we start. Normally we are watching movies in the evening so I will make sure I have dinner planned and made before hand. In the old days the huge bowl of popcorn would take the place of dinner. So I feel I have come a long way!

OK I am off to do some much needed house projects so bbl.

Hi Everyone!

I'm doing a week of Cross Train Express and started with the power circuit. This time I'm writing down the weights, Sts has spoiled me that way, I just really want to know what amount to lift...LOL!

Jo, I'm so glad you like your tower! I would suggest you use it as a coat rack then not in use, but the not in use time is too short for that to be feasible...:p So, what else can you do with it? Would dh mind if you had it sitting around if you covered it with a throw or something? I know my kids would use it as a jungle gym for sure! And when they got sick of that it would become a tent frame...

Rachael, I'm glad you gave yourself some snooze time, you'll get back into routine soon enough! However, I know what you mean about getting back into it, I stayed on my schedule all summer break because I didn't want to retrain my body to wake up early. I like it when i am so used to it that can almost wake up without an alarm clock!

Thanks, Jo and Rachael for your sympathy concerning house guests. I felt a bit bad for feeling the way I did, but hearing you guys sharing your thoughts made me feel a lot better!

Ok, gotta run and get some things done!

Hi Girls! Well the day is almost over...Rachel you must be snoozing away right now! (Or are you an up late kind of girl?)

I did the first 5 combos of Imax 3 this morning. I had one of those nights sleep where you wake up every hour. Then at 2:00 I woke up and was awake until 3:30, should have got up and read, but layed there thinking I would go back to sleep at any moment.... So, needless to say, I didn't have the energy to do the entire Imax 3 so just did the first 6 combos - I knew if I did any more I'd have a difficult day at work.

Rachel, glad you're back on the workout train! I bow to you for getting up at 4:00 :p - I have to on occasion to catch a plane and it is not pleasant! So you're doing all the GS for the first time? Hope you like them! I love MM - I can't remember what you said about that.

Cendrine, coat rack sounds good! :p So I did put it on the landing and DH had to go by it to put his sweats on tonight and didn't say a word  !! So I'll see what he says later. And, like I said earlier, no one can see it unless they are going up to our bedroom...you have to go up the first flight of stairs and then there it is! :D I'm glad you're enjoying Cross Train! I know I said this before, but when that series came out I thought Cathe had really created a master piece!

Okay, time to go read my book! I didn't get to read this weekend as much as I had planned.

Oh and Rachel, I forgot to add: we have a pullup capability on our squat rack but it is way too wide for me. Rather than a bar it has two handles that stick out on the posts (hard to explain). Anyway DH was always saying "why don't you use the handles on the squat rack?" And I say...well if I was a football player and a lot bigger...maybe! But it would put my shoulders at a weird angle. Anyway, so I'm really looking forward to using the Tower. I did do a test in the supine position and can really tell a difference between that and using the door attachment. But I highly doubt I'll be able to pick myself up with crossed legs like Cathe (remember chicken wings? LOL!) I'm excited though as I should really be able to improve in that area. Imagine me with a big ole muscle back! HA!

Okay, g'night!
