Happy Weekend!

Today is a rest day for me. House type things to do. Tomorrow starts my week of ME: Time saver pre-mix tomorrow, uppper, lower pre-mix interspersed with cardio.

The Blog is getting into the details of the new workouts and I am getting pretty "psyched" about new weight work. I hope the cardio is easily modifed for low impact and the step is not too complicated. Either way it was a great deal for $60!

Question to dog or pet owners: my male dog, "Clancy" was limping about 5 weeks ago so we took him to the vet for x-rays and they said it was a sprained toe. Nothing they could do but give him some pain meds for use when needed, and to keep him resting, not running around! Ha! did you ever keep a Wire Fox terrier ( or Terror as we call them) from running, or chasing squirrels, or just barking at the moon? Needless to say, 5 weeks later and he still limps, mostly when he has been laying down or sleeping and he first gets up. I don;t know what we can do for him..

Jen: Surprised that you were able to go to the dentist when she was on vacation. In most states this is not allowed. The hygenist's are only supposed to work with a dentist on the premises. My DH works 4 days a week ( Mon, Tue, Wed(12-7)and Fri). He used to work Saturday, but found that most people cancelled or did not show up! I always tease him about his 4 day work week! The good thing is he gets a lot of stuff done on Thursday around the house or errand wise that has to be done during the weekdays eg take the dogs to the vet etc.

Do you like the Gym Styles? I think they are good pretty good. I may have to use that series next, if we don;t get the new ones by the time my current rotation is done.. or maybe go back to one body part per day using Pure Strength and doing the excersises for each part twice.. hmmm.. I wonder how long that would be for each.. The Tammilee Web stretching sounds pretty good too! Now you have me looking at another workout! Off to Collage !

Have a great weekend;-)

Happy Saturday, All,

Deb, wow, I didn't know that about having a dentist on the premises. I'm guessing that it's allowed in Texas if the patient knows beforehand, since the receptionist made a point of telling me about it when she called the day before to remind me of my appointment, and asking if that was okay with me. I also heard her say the same thing to people on the phone when I was in the waiting room.

The hygienist also said that the dentist would be reviewing charts, x-rays and notes written up by the hygienist when she gets back from vacation.

Yesterday, I did about half of Christi Taylor's Still Steppin', then had to stop because my blood sugar crashed. It was only 53 (should be 80-120). I realized what was happening because all of a sudden I couldn't remember the routine from one minute to the next.

A large glass of orange juice later, I snapped out of it, but felt rotten, so will try again tomorrow to finish that tape and do the Tamilee Webb stretch segment. Today, I'm baby-sitting while my daughter and son-in-law go to a movie and out to eat. After that, there is a gathering at a restaurant for their friends and a few family members for my daughter's birthday, which we're also attending. Does that girl know how to milk a birthday or what?!

About the Gym Styles - I like the exercises in the Hardcore series, but I don't do the series as a rotation because I can't stand a lot of the music. Also, the sound fades in and out, which annoys me, so I just do one of them once in a while, interspersed with my many other DVDs.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Jen

Hi again!

Jen: I am glad you were able to do something about your blood sugar right away! Does this happen often? what triggers it? How old is your daughter? I got the Tamilee stretch DVD on Ebay.. I like the fact that you can do a 10 minute or more, and a full 30 minute.. I think I will probably like these better than the woman from PBS..

DH and I went out today to start looking at a new winter car for me. I have a Jeep with 104,200 miles on it. It is 10 years old and looks like I would have to put a lot of money into it to get it to pass inspection in August. Also needs some exhaust work.. So we went to a Subaru dealer to "look around" and we bought a 2008 Forester! I pick it up Monday evening. This will be the first new car I have bought in 20 years.. DH has bought all his new since 1986. I have bought all used ones for some reason LOL! When I bought the Jeep ( 5 or 6 years ago), I was going into a deli for coffee, and saw it on a used car lot across the street. I went over, "just to look at it" and decided to take it for a test drive. I bought it before my coffee was even cold! I guess you can say I am an impulse buyer!

Be back tomorrow!

Deb:)

Happy Sunday to all who show up today!

Everyone must be having a busy weekend...anyway did ME timesaver pre-mix today.. that workout is supposed to be around 52 minutes, but it take me an hour because I pause between sets. The pace is just too fast for me.. will do the upper split Tuesday. Since I am going to DC on Thursday, I will not be able to workout, so only 2 weight workouts this week and 3 cardio.

Hope everyone is healthy , and safe and enjoying this great summer!

Deb:)

Good Morning Deb and those to follow:
I'm back from the lake, and I did go in the water. Had a few small breakouts but not bad. I've been getting some wicked hot flashes. Have really stink when its hot and muggy already:-( I feel like I'm melting.
Deb: You sound like you've been very good with your workouts. Not me, at the lake I pretty much just do nothing. Tell me how you like your new car. Does a forester have 4wheel or all wheel drive? I may have to get a new one also if I decide to take the visting nurse position.
I did do Stepblast and tris from PUB. I really need to do something about my weight(getting very uncomfortable). Reading about eating for
your bloodtype,I'm going to try it.
Have a great day~Linny~
