50 and over week of October 4 check in

Good morning all,

How can it be October? Where did September go? Saturday turned out to be a rest day.

I did go out to eat yesterday and recorded it in nutrition site, since it totaled 1787 I decided I better record food BEFORE I ate it. I did plan today. And hope to get whole week in later today. That doesn't mean I will follow it exactly but I might come a little closer.

I am taking a rest day today... I need it. :p

Joan I are you still using Cathe's NS? I didn't renew :( I was going to use the GWF one. I didn't like the way that one worked. So I purchased the diet & exercise software for my computer. It's not bad. I do miss seeing my grades though :p This way I have it with me on my PDA and at home on my computer. The food database is pretty good too. Did you get your cards to print yet?
 
Hi everyone - rest day for me today. I might go swimming today, not sure yet. Maybe I'll sit at the window and watch the snowflakes falling. My kitties are so entertaining the way they chirp and chatter at the snowflakes.

Snow flakes NO NO NO it's too early. I still want another 2 months of Indian summer.

Jann I cleaned everything out and even removed some add ons they said might bother computer. I still can't print. It won't let me use other Adobe method either. It says file not there. Do you ever print calendar?

Hi Ladies!

Sorry to be so "AWOL" these last few days. So much going on, but still managed to get my workouts in. I did STS Disc 6 Legs a little while ago. WHOA BABY!!! HURT, HURT, HURT!!!

Got Josh's car back on Friday, FINALLY! But writing that check hurt, and THEN had to call the TV repair man on Friday afternoon.......had to take it in to the shop, so I have no TV to watch in the Family room while I cook dinner. BUMMER!!!! Oh well, I guess I need to study more anyway. I did badly on my midterm, a "C". I was totally upset. The worst part is we don't get our tests back and I have no idea what I missed. Have to do better on the final!

Have a nice Sunday evening. Check in tomorrow.

Jann, is that a new picture? It's very nice. I keep trying to put a picture in here, but I am not very photogenic. I'll have to look at all the ones in my iPhotos & see if there's something worth sharing.

Today is definitely a rest day for me. I had to be up early to cantor an 8:45 am mass. Then there was the regular 10:15 am mass with the choir, after which I attempted to recruit new choir members at our church's Ministry Fair. It's a good thing the weather was mild and sunny, because it was held outside. After all that, I had to come home and have a nap! :cool:

Well, I am noiw waaaay behind on the sts- After the pilates, we went to a wedding in Kentucky and that threw off the routine as well. Tomorrow is a new day and a new week. I am jumping in tomorrow!!:)

Lori where do you live that you have snowflakes? It is still hot here.

Joan, am glad that your mother is feeling ok. She's in my prayers.

I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in the foothills of the Rockie Mountains. Snowflakes today, but in two days it could be nice and warm out, the weather changes quite a bit here. Oh well, it is what it is, I do prefer warmer weather but I love living here :)
 
Hi ladies,

I was able to print sts worksheet from the calendar but still can't from sts.

I just finished disc 8. I wanted to try to do disc 9 legs but I was still sore from Thursday.

I still have 2 1/2 months left on nutrition site and I will see how it goes. I may try it month to month for only the months I use it or try to make up a lot of different days.

Deb I can't see how a C can be considered bad. I can't believe you don't get test back. I always learned best from my mistakes.

I have a Maine Coon cat who always wants to be in the same room with me or dh. I'm doing disc 8 and am starting to lay down on my bench when I feel a furry pillow. I got back up in a hurry. It's a good thing I was taking it slow or I would have one flat cat. He didn't even move after that.

Disc 10 today! I took a CPR class last week and some how pushing on that dummy's chest managed to hurt my wrists. I'll be doing the push ups today with hand weights. :confused:
 
Disc 10 done! aHHH somebody say this is the last DVD for all those pushups! :D Biceps already hurting :confused: and DOMS have not set in yet... :p

Jann, maybe 10 is the last disc with push ups. That's probably why there were so many of them! :eek: I still hate push ups, but "pushing" myself to do them is always a good thing. I just finished Disc 10, and my arms are really feeling it! :eek: I have a problem with overhead presses, and I only use light weights for that. But doing STS has so far made my bad shoulder feel stronger, and I think the pain is not quite so bad as it was before.

Wow, Deb, what reason do they give for not giving you your test papers back? Making a C is probably going to propel you into making an A next time, you know. Do they at least go over the answers in class? :confused:

Lori, you live in a very beautiful place. The parts I've seen of Canada have been very beautiful. :D

did UFBW , (the firm's ultimate fat blasting workout) doing kickbox section twice and inserted this lower body circuit,

in between alison's 4-limb segments. did circuit 3X. and then 3 sets TBC

so my whole workout was 65m. it was tough too!!!

magnolia, i HATE pushups too. but, cheer up there are none in meso 2&3. there is no way i can't do all those pushups, not even on my knees. pushups are probably my most hated excercise.
well, off to wal-mart.

Finished the second round of disc 3, on to disc 4 on Wednesday. Pushups, yuck! My knees get so sore lol. I'm so happy to hear that there aren't any in Meso 2 and 3.

Joan - so you have a Maine Coon? Cool!! I'm insane about kitties, I have three of my own, all Heinz 57s. They do love to intrude on workouts, don't they? I get whiskers tickling my face when I'm doing any kind of floorwork.

Tomorrow is Cardio Coach day, volume 4 again through the month of October.

snowflakes, lori?????? are you kiddin? oh, you're in canada. my ex-sisil is from canada. winnipeg. there is a reason she is now in texas and snowflakes had something to do w/it. :)
LOL! her parents love to come here in january. her dad runs around in shorts ,even if it is 50' outside. he is so funny. but, they don't come down in the summer. go figure! do you have pictures anywhere of where you live?
 
jann, have you looked at this month's rotaiton? what do y 'all think about the undulating thing?

Just finished disc 9. I'll eventually catch up before meso 2.

I shouldn't read the shock cardio thread about modifying. I think I was insulted by their response. I felt it implied that if you were in the same shape as Cathe you wouldn't need to modify no matter what your age. The article about Cathe slowing down in her 40's was just not teaching 6 classes a day? Please tell me the secret. If it was getting in shape in your 20's and never gaining weight, I think it's too late for me. I have a feeling I won't be buying any additional Cathe cardio unless it says low impact. It also sounds like there will no longer be "popular" music in background because it is too expensive.

I had to wake Elliot up from nap to take mother to doctor to get balloon out. She didn't want to go at all. Crying and screaming I put her in car seat. I changed diaper but pants and shoes didn't get put back on. Thank heavens for candy corn. I gave her a piece to eat in the car and by the time we got there she had forgotten she was mad. Fortunately we had time to get her dressed in car before going in.

wow! i did the Firm's super cardio today. that is a killer workout. kind of an interval type and i did 2 segments twice to make it 60 full min. very painful after yesterdays lower body circuit. i am so sore!!!!
