Good morning,

I can't believe it's almost December.

Magnolia congratulations on finishing course. Are you completely done or will there be more classes?

HELP I can't seem to get back into an exercise routine and I can't control eating. Right now I couldn't do anything if I wanted to because my office/exercise area is full of stuff from all the other rooms that are now clean.

Now I'm off to do some accounting. Later I hope to clean office so I have a chance of working out tomorrow.

Hi -

I've been having problems with eating and staying motivated to finish a rotation too.

Got back from visiting my daughter and her husband in Williamsburg VA...it was great seeing them.

I am continuing doing a FIRM "pink" rotation for this week and did a cardio workout this morning.

Just finished Disc 28 :eek:! It was great. My eating is not too bad. I am getting far too busy to deal with it.

Joan, thanks for the congrats. I have finished this course, but there are more to come! :confused: But I am taking the next semester off to try to get my house together and get through the holidays, etc.

Linda, I think we all go through periods like that. Just stick to your guns, and you'll be fine.

well, my period of having lost control of my eating has lasted about 2 yrs. now. LOL! if i was as diligent w/my eating as i was my w/outs, i would'nt have this roll around my middle.

today, i did the firm's jiggle free arms, (that is a toughie). and added 13m extra weight circuit. then i did ab circuit from STS, yoga. i lifted pretty heavy in JFA, so i'm thinkin' i may be hurtin' tomorrow. :)
 
HI ladies!

I have been trying to get a minimum of 2 miles on the treadmill. I can't seem to get into DVD's right now.:confused: I know it's only temporary -- it always is. :)

Linda hang in there... these cycles pass.

Joan it's hard to stay on track when things are not organized -- I know. :eek: I think that's my problem right now. I want normal back! :D

I started a "new" diet today with a couple of other gals..... Lets see how this goes... :p
 
Good morning,

Office is now clean enough to wo. No excuses.

Since it is December 1, I decided my goal was to check in everyday until we go on vacation Dec 29, log in my food everyday even if it is bad and try to do something everyday-dvd or treadmill. Yea I posted now to do the hard part.

Treadmill for 2 miles this morning. I lost 1.5 pounds yesterday day 1 of my diet :eek: I did however gain 1 pound last week from all the turkey and trimmings... :eek: So it's a start.

Well, I decided to try Steamin' Cardio from WHFN Kick Butt series. :eek: I had not attempted this really tough one in a long time! I really had to do a little too much modification, which confirms for me that I need to concentrate on pushing myself more cardio-wise. So I'm dragging out all the good cardio workouts I can find, no excuses. Besides, I pre-ordered some of the Shock Cardio workouts, so I need to get ready for those.

Go for it, Joan! Good for you. You, too, Jann! Well, I need to go wash up.

I forgot to post about Anna Benson. I am so sad. I never met her but I did talk to her on the phone a couple of times. When I ordered one of her sets I did not get the correct workouts. She told me to keep the wrong one sent me the correct one with 2 older Firm VHS's. :D She was very kind. She will be missed in the Fitness World.
I did read where her son will be continuing her work on getting the older firms put on DVD. I have already converted them all except ballroom onto DVD myself or I would be purchasing them. If that one comes out I will be buying it to complete my set.:)

Jann, I did post about Anna last week. I didn't know if everyone knew. She was fantastic. I think I have been pulling out those workouts because of the news about her, anyway I have been thinking about her a lot since I found out. I have collected all the re-releases she had finished. I am hoping that her son will continue.

Yes I did get a workout in before midnight. Drill max premix 1. I'm looking at Dec rotation as a possible. I can't seem to get back into STS and I don't know why. I recorded today's food and calories are way too much but it's a start.

Jann if you gained a pound but lost a pound and a half that's progress to me. I think I gained 1.5lbs and didn't lose anything.

Linda I think rather than just thinking about a rotation I'm going to try to do something everyday. If I miss a day it will be the rest day. I think rotations have better results but not if I can't keep up with them. Sometimes I can get something in even if it's not what's planned.

Magnolia I think I have some old firm but I never did them enough to know who Anna was. I will have to look them up. It's a shame when any one that young dies.

Cathy I hear you about eating. I can only go so long and then I stop eating correctly.

Hi everyone,

Today I did the FIRM Total Body Lite...yesterday was a rest day.

I follow a rotation on a calendar as a way to make myself exercise. I haven't done the "pink" FIRM workouts for quite some time and find them to be easy which helps me focus on the muscles I'm suppose to be strengthening and stretching. I'm not experiencing any DOMs this month which I miss. I know when I begin the STS / Shock Cardio rotation I am going to be so sore. I had worked myself up to exercising 6 days a week for awhile, but the last two months I've been happy if I workout only 4 - 5 days a week. Guess I needed a rest.

I'm paying attention to what I'm eating .... but seem to have problems after 3:00 pm. I need to figure out what's going on....am I bored? not getting enough protein? am I really hungary? am I depressed? (my Mom's really ill so this has been stressful and going through the empty nest syndrome), etc.

Anyway...I'm getting excited about the very future release of Shock Cardio. Sometimes I think the waiting for something is the most fun.

We have to love the 50's :confused: aging parents, kids leaving or have left. :( That's why we are here for ya! Afternoon's are the worst for me too. I could eat cardboard by dinner time some days. The only trick(for a lack of a better word) for me is sugarless gum. That seems to keep my mouth busy. :rolleyes:

Joan Yeah, I'll take any drop in the ol'pounds any way it comes! :D I managed to gain 10+ pounds in the last year. Not being able to workout, ate like I didn't care, stress, kids, parents, etc. etc. etc. I really am going to try my best to get through the eating craziness of the next couple of weeks maintaining!!
Then come January... well, I will lose this middle!

Magnolia I did see your post about Anna thanks. I should pull out some of her workouts too! I was suppose to do vol 1 on Monday and completely forgot :eek:

No workout yet today. I think I'll find a fitprime or kickbutt workout for today. :cool:

I just finished Disc 29, plyo legs. :eek: I have to confess that I had to rely on heavy modifications on some of those, but was surprised that I could actually do the butt-kicks and a few of the others. By the end, I was doing high knee marches, though. I am determined to be able to climb stairs and breathe, too!

Jann and Joan, good for both of you! :D Determination is one of the best strengths we have, it motivates us when we are tired and keeps us on track. Normally, I like to add in those Fit Primes and Kick Butts at least once or twice a week because of the fusion of cardio-weights-pilates-yoga, and I'll be finding ways to slip them in a little more. I think Steamin' Cardio is the toughest one of them, but then maybe that's just me. I love Strong Bear.

Good evening,

I just finished Body Max 2 premix 6. All of these December wo's are short but I also chased Elliot through the men's department of Kohls. All those men's suits and shirts made it like a maze for her and we just "ran" up and down the clothes aisles. They probably thought we were nuts but it was too cold to get outside today. We looked at all of the toys and the only one she wanted to get was a baby for her mother. It was a cute doll.
She's just got a cold so I guess I'm next.

I told you my mother never complains but on Sunday she said the position of her right arm (not mastectomy side) was so painful during radiation she thought she would have to quit. She didn't want me to say anything to doctor but quitting would have been worse. I had her up the amount of advil she took before she went. On Monday she actually thinks she fell asleep during the treatment. They said they didn't have her positioned any differently but she said they had. All is well for now.


Linda I usually plan a snack for 3-4:00-cottage cheese and blueberries.

I better log in my food now I wouldn't want to break my 2 day streak.:D

Good morning everyone,

I did the FIRM Power Yoga and Cardio Overdrive express (one of my favorites) this morning. I am not a fan of yoga, but I throw it in every now and then hoping that by some miracle I'll like it. I know it's good for you but I just don't enjoy yoga poses...I love to stretch though...that feels so good.

Joan - the cottage cheese and blueberries is a great snack. I have a list of snacks that range from 200 - 100 calories on my refrigerator and cottage cheese and a fruit is one of the items. My problem is will-power...I have my snack and I then I want more. I think I end up eating about 300 - 400calories instead. All my other meals are within the calorie range that I want. At least I know where to improve.

Linda I see from your profile you have P90X. Did you do the program? I have Chalene's CLX and I really enjoyed it.

Joan sounds like a great place to play - :D I am so sorry your Mother had a difficult day. I am glad the extra advil seem to help. Stay well! :)

Magnolia thanks for the support!! :) This low carbing is tough. I am only doing a 2 week cycle. Yesterday was a carb up day (as said from the book) I gained a bit... :( But from what I've read that happens. GREAT job on Plyo legs -- they are not easy!

I jumped on the treadmill this morning for 2 hours. I am really going to try to stay active today... :D
 
Hi, Y'All!

Today's definitely a rest day for me! I was so tired yesterday, I could only wrap a couple of presents, and that was just about it.

I think after tomorrow's workout, I am going to put the rest of the STS workouts on the back burner until after the holidays. They're just too long for right now, and I, like the rest of you, have no time for long workouts at this time of year. So I'm going with pre-mixes and some shorter Firms I have.

Well, we have another rehearsal for the Christmas concert tonight. I hope all of you have a great evening.

Hi ladies,

Magnolia you should definately look at the Dec rotation. It at least gives you the times of the premixes.

I've recorded food and posted -now to get to the wo. I actually planned what I was going to eat today, I just did not eat it.
