The weather here is pretty nice, for a change. It's supposed to be this way until sometime Wednesday. Good weather for some walking!

i 'm kinda upset. SNM pm'd me and said they deleted my post, cuz we are not allowed to sell dvd's on the forums. that is stinky, so how do i get rid of shock cardio? i really am disappointed in it , and they aren't gonna give me my money back, so why can't i sell it to someone else. pretty annoying.

i did the firm's get chisled today and it is a pretty tough workout. i was surprised. yesterday was a total bust. i was exhausted and did pretty much nothing.

Cathy I think it's always been policy here you can't sell anything. Sorry. You may try other forums though, there are plenty of them.

I did Allie's Total Body Toner today. It got the job done! :D
Weigh in was not as good as I was hoping this morning... but it's a start.
The weekend weather was so wonderful. I am planning to get some yard work done today. I need to start some pruning!! :D:D:D
 
Hi, Y'All.

I bought Dr. Amen's Change Your Brain, Change Your Body and took the questionnaire to determine what type of brain I have. :eek: Now I'm reading the recommendations for my brain type. As I said, I am already taking most of the supplements he suggests because these have been prescribed for me based on my semi-annual blood tests, so I won't be buying any additional supplements until and unless my doctor prescribes them. However, he has a lot of other recommendations about food, sleep, etc. that I am anxious to try. I'll let you know about my own experience with this.

If my back is still stiff and sore like this tomorrow, I'm calling my chiropractor!

jann, i've done TBT and i just don't feel like i'm getting a very good workout. i did defing shape yesterday (rebekah) , and was surprised at how hard it was. i don't remember it being that hard. and , today was dynamic strength & power. really tough, but a great workout.

think i'm gonna do allie's cardio sculpt from BSS1 this morning.
ya'll have a nice day, supposed to be 80 here today and tomorrow. which is fine, but i don't want it gettin' any hotter than that, way too early to be summer yet.
 
jann, that is not right what i posted yesterday. it wan't defining shape, that is one of tracie's new ones. it was get chisled. i'm gettin' old. HA!

I did HiiT 30/30 1 and 1/2 times this morning followed by TJ ABs!! I am toast! :D
 
Hi, Y'All.

Well, the number one most consistent recommendation based on my questionnaire is EXERCISE!! Also bright light therapy. This morning I did Low Impact Step and Total Body Stretching (Basic Stretching segment). I'm icing my back right now, but it feels okay, just a little stiff. I am moving my workout "studio" to a larger room in front of the house, where the morning sun shines right through the windows. There's more room there, so I'm working this week on getting it all fixed up.

Sounds like a good idea moving your workout area. I open every window shade in the mornings. I need light!! I took the test on line... I need to read my results.
 
I am toast again today... I tell ya cardio is soooo much harder on me than weights! (guess there is a clue in there!;)) I did Low Impact Circuit the whole thing!!! I wimped out on the last of the abs I kind of laid there and waited on Cathe to get to the stretch - :D
I got Insanity from my kids it's my turn now -- I'll give one of them a try tomorrow -- which disc should I start with? I don't plan to do the series.

Gotta get outside and do a little yard work before the days and days of rain. :eek:

Well.....I'm taking an active recovery week and not doing much in the way of exercise. I did a Yoga Booty Ballet DVD on Monday and it wasn't very exciting for me....guess I'm used to working up a sweat with Cathe's DVDs. I didn't do a workout today or yesterday....but I took a long walk with my Yorkie on both days. The weather has been so spring like....we both had fun.

I had my first cello lessons last night....my right arm is going to get a good workout just trying to use the bow correctly!

Spring Break is killing my plan

My ds is home from college for spring break. We went snowboarding and skiing on an improptu trip to North Carolina--- It was great but I have been cooking and cleaning and packing and unpacking and not exercising!!!!

Regardless, I am signed up to run the river run on Saturday- a 15k with my friend. It is gonna hurt

I hope to get back to the rountine next week.

I saw Dr. Amen on pbs- is that what you all are talking about?
Jan- do either pure cardio or the plymometric one- and a hint, after you get the moves, don't worry about going as fast as they are, look away and keep your own pace (she says after tripping on the 1 2 3's)

It is the same Dr. Amen, Beth. I am reading the book, and it makes a lot of sense. I look around and see so many of my friends who have been on one diet after another--they lose the pounds, then find them again with a few extra to boot! There has to be a better way. Anyhow, I'm going to give it a try.

I've seen Insanity ads on television. It looks awfully intense. Anyway, good luck, Jann. Maybe it'll work for you.

I learned that I can't take Zyrtec for my allergies. It makes me so tired all day! I felt like a slug all day yesterday! I'm going back to my natural remedies.

Linda, I have always found that music is not only great fun, it's the best therapy ever. Best of luck with your lessons.

Today I'm going to take a long walk with my Yorkie....another beautiful morning...suppose to rain later this evening.

I just found out that I need to stay with my Mom Friday through Tuesday....she wants a hospice meeting which is scheduled for 4:00pm on Monday. I don't see well at night when driving and can't imagine driving the Washington beltway at night...very scary for me...so have to leave Tuesday morning. Not looking forward to the hospice meeting.

So this really messes up my STS workout schedule. I think I'm going to stop STS and plan workouts that I can do 4 days a week when I'm home. I'm not really happy about this but what can I do....my Mom needs me right now.

Magnolia - I take Zyrtec for my allergies (the only thing that really works for itchy face) but I have to take it in the evening. If my alleries are really bad during the day I take Claritin (dusting the house can really trigger a really bad allergy reaction).

Music has always been comfort to me....one of the reasons I wanted to learn the cello....love the deep tone. My Dad is learning how to play the electric bass so I also want to establish a deeper relationship with him through music.

My eating was good on Tueday, horrible yesterday. I'll try to keep the eating under control today.
 
today, i did the firm's 500 calorie. that is a TUFF workout. i personally think it is as hard as some of cathes. kills me everytime. kelsie is the instructor and she is fabulous!

Hi, Everybody.

Cathe has so many challenging workouts, and I know there are still plenty of others who use the individual workouts from STS. So you make the four days you do have challenging. Linda, you and your family are certainly in my prayers.

I was in a hurry today, so I did The Firm's Ultimate Fat Burning Workout. I'm just grabbing what I have time for this week, it's been busy. Maybe next week will be a little more settled.

My eating's been good so far, just got to make it through the rest of the afternoon.

Cathy, we posted at the same time. You're so right about Kelsie! She's tough, and I think her workouts are the best ones being released by The Firm right now.
