50 and over week of Feb 28 check in

Hi, Y'All.

Hope you are all well.

My food wasn't the best yesterday, hopefully today will be better. I got enough sleep last night, and I'm drinking lots of water, as usual. Most of the time, that really does work. I'm just not paying attention most of the time.

Ultimate Fat Burning Workout was just right for today. I'm bored with Basic Step and ready to move up, but because of the little catch in my back, today was not the day to do that. I feel good, so I'm going to pick something a little more challenging for tomorrow.

Well, got work to do. Have a great day, everyone.

well, i am alive! just so busy this past week. the girls here all weekend riding, husban home, grandkids here monday & tuesday. whew!! and, then, today, catching up on housework, laundry, and all.
i actually did IMAX2 today, and survived to tell ya'll about it. i did cheat a tiny bit on the air jacks, just too hard on the old feet. well, we are finally having our gorgeous teaxs winter. 70' today, and gonna be in the 60's all week. YAY! i'm tired of the cold. don't know how ya'll take it up there in iceland.

well, will try to check-in more this week.

Hi all -- Had an eating frenzy yesterday. Not sure why I couldn't stop myself!! Today will be better. I am having a root canal done this morning. BBL

Good morning, my friends.

Yes, Jann, a root canal will certainly put the brakes on eating frenzies.

Cathy, just glad to hear from you. I am starting to think that this is really Iceland. Not really much accumulation now, but "snow showers" and flurries still in our forecast. A friend of mine saw a sign out in front of a church that read "Whoever is praying for snow, please stop!"

My back is pretty stiff today, so I'm going to try a basic pilates tape I have. Plus more icing and Advil, I guess.

Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning,

I did MMA: Boxing yesterday and Disc 23 today. I felt sluggish yesterday...good thing I like MMA Boxing.

Magnolia - Hope your back starts to feel better soon. My lower back is starting to feel normal again. Doing pilates and just taking it easy, along with icing and advil are the best thing you can do.

Jann - good luck on that root canal....never had one done but know it's not a fun procedure to have to endure.

I've been going through an eating frenzy too....just wish I would stop it. I rented a cello the other day and will start lessons next week. Hoping that practicing the cello every day will put a stop to some of my overeating since my hands and my mind will be busy. I know that some of my eating problems is due to boredom.

My daughter and SIL will be visiting tomorrow thru Sunday. They will be attending the Auction Gala for the Cream: WPA 2010 Art Auction Exhibition in Washington DC on Saturday. My SIL has two photography pieces on exhibit and up for auction....very exciting for them.

I've got tons of housework to do....yuck!

Good morning,

Magnolia Take care of that back.

Yesterday was 30 min on treadmill and calories around 1245.

Jann if a root canal is a good diet aid let me know I might try it.:p Mine wasn't too bad but I wish I hadn't eaten afterwards. Nobody warned me to have a liquid or soft diet.

I hope my eating stays good. I really have to focus on what I'm eating because just 200-300 calories is the difference between losing and staying the same. AND I AM HUNGRY ALL THE TIME.

I have lost 2 lbs but I won't record it until Monday. I still have to get throught the weekend.

howdy, today was nancy's old body sculpt blaster, and a 10m wt routine that allie made up. tomorrwo is riding and outside w/my grandkids.

i can't believe i ate that. although, i will say i had half for lunch and half for supper, but still, bad, bad, bad!!

and tomorrow we are going to the riverwalk for my son's b/day. hmm, gonna have to be very careful

Hi ladies,

Today got really hectic and I wasn't going to do a wo. Garance from the other check in told me about bum bum rapido. It's a 15 minute work out from the Brazil butt lift. I love it. I really felt it and it really is only 15 minutes. The time flew by. I will add it in whenever I really feel like I can't do anything. I have only previewed the booty basics which is just showing you the moves so you get the form before you do a wo. I am glad I bought this even if I only ever do this one wo. You probably can't understand how happy I am to have done something today. I know skipping a wo today would ruin my chances of staying on this diet. It is too soon to be missing a day - especially since I am doing so little each day.

They excused me from jury duty. Thank heavens because I really don't have the time for it right now.

Sun was shining today and I think it got to 50 degrees.

Good morning, Y'All.

I did a Stott pilates workout yesterday. My back feels a lotbetter today. I really liked it and, like Joan, was just thrilled to have been able to do something. I'm planning to keep this one somewhere in my regular rotation.

However, today there are two bad omens that there will be no time for a workout: the plumber is coming this morning, and DH has the day off. Well, I will just have to see.

I was pretty good yesterday, until the ice cream craving last night! When I get enough sleep, I somehow don't want to eat when I'm not hungry.

Well, gotta run. Plumber will be here before I know it. Have a great day.

Good morning,

I did STS disc 24 and 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer for my cardio. I'm done for the week. Looking forward to an active recovery week. I'm thinking of maybe doing Yoga Booty Ballet next week....it's a little corny but I like the dancing segments and its very easy.

Magnolia - I can't have ice cream in the house....I have no willpower I love it so much. Glad your back is getting better.

Joan - It's good you are able to fit in 15 minutes of wo with your very busy schedule.

Cathy - I've got a very dear friend who lives near San Antonio. I love the riverwalk....it has changed so much. In the early 60s my Dad had temporay duty in San Antonio (Air Force - Randolf AFB) when I was a child and I remember going to the riverwalk back then.

Hope I can keep my eating in control today. The kids will be here later in the day....very excited to see them.

Good morning,

Linda Good job on finishing meso 2. I wish I could have kept up with it.

The wo last night really hurt my lower back. A short while after posting back started to hurt and I iced it most of the night. The moves are quite rapid and there is some twisting. I still want it to work so I will have to either slow moves down or eliminate something.

I picked up Elliot from daycare and kept her until 7pm. Dil was having contractions. Luckily rest and water stopped them and it was a false alarm.

Happy Weekend, Everyone!

I just saw Dr. Amen's program on public TV, "Change Your Brain, Change Your Body." I was impressed with the strategies to make our brains healthier, so I think I'm going to get the book. Actually, I am already taking the supplements he stresses and my doctor tests my blood every six months so that she gives me the correct dosages. Hopefully, adding his ideas will help me to tweak what I am already doing so I can get these pounds off and keep them off, and maybe get DH on track, too. If I am successful, I'll certainly let you know.

Have a great weekend, y'all.
