50 and over week of August 1 check in

Good morning,

Jann Hope you're having a good time.

Magnolia I don't normally watch Regis. Remind me right before hand so I will remember to watch your mil. How did she get involved?

I have no energy this week. The fraxel laser procedure makes me feel like I do with a sunburn. It takes all my energy to heal. I did about 1/2 hour on treadmill but that's all. I use a lot less calories because I'm not doing anything else- going to the store etc.

I've cut the calories I've eaten but I don't think I will lose this week. Even though I should. I have eaten about 500 calories less than I used. But it is nutrisystem food.

Hi all -- we are home. I'll try to catch up. :)
Time adjusting takes way longer the older I get.

Good morning, Y'All!

Just did FitPrime's Lean. I feel better today than I have in a while. I have been waking up every morning with an allergy headache, and having them during the day as well. I decided to cut out my supplements for a while and add back slowly to determine if one of them is giving me problems. Sure enough, I am sleeping better and not having headaches during the day, either. So Monday I am going to start adding back one supplement a week to pinpoint the culprit.

MIL has quite a reputation as one of those great people who really enjoy life and live every day to the fullest. She and FIL have an apartment in NYC, and she walks everywhere--sometimes in 4" heels! Anyway, a friend of hers entered her in the race 2 years ago (she walked it, but she still finished!) He entered her again this year. I hear that he submitted the "training video" and they really liked it & plan to use it on the show. Now she has a fan page on Facebook!!

Jann, you just need a jet lag day or two. Glad you're back. :D

Joan, just take care of yourself and listen to your body.

Have a great day, everyone!

I ordered the presale dvd's and downloads. I CAN not wait until the workout blender comes out.
I've been wanting it since it was announced years ago.

Joan I am going to have a laser treatment done in the fall. I was hoping it was painless...

what is the deal???? this thing is not posting my posts. it didn't do it on the other thread "pentagenarians" either. i write something and then it doesn't post. GRRRRR!

today i did fat blaster & tracie's new power up. tomorrow is rest. well, g/kids are here, so not sure about "rest", but no workout anyway. possibly swimming in the afternoon.

Jann It's not really that bad. I like to complain. It was more swollen this time because we upped the setting. For most people it doesn't hurt after it is done. For me it lasted a half hour afterwards. Since I did it 4 times it couldn't be too bad. I am really happy with results. Plus with my fair skin I am hoping for skin cancer relief. The fraxel laser is the only one approved for treatment of possible skin cancer sites.

I am so worried about wrecking the results I never forget sunscreen. Maybe just that is worth it.

Happy Sunday, Y'All!

Joan, that is interesting about the laser treatments. I think my first clue about sunscreen came when I was young and one summer, I had really gotten quite the tan. One day I noticed that my toes looked like raisins! (really--they did!!) After that, I became a little more careful about my time in the sun.

I am preordering the new Cathes tomorrow. I'm subbing for the regular vocalist at a funeral tomorrow morning, for which I get paid, so I am using the money for the dvds. I really don't quite comprehend how the Workout Blender will function yet. I haven't ordered any downloads, but I'm sure I will at some point. The idea of making your own premixes is a cool one, though.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, everyone!
