Good Morning All!

I did another I-Tread today. I will be doing the total body Express workout from Muscle Endurance tomorrow. Since I will not be able to workout Thursday because we will be flying out west, I will do this so I had 2 total body workouts this week and 3 cardio.

Lost another pound:7 ..Yeah!! I think the theory of muscles retaining water after weight training is true.

Before replying to all I want to Welcome KIMS to our thread! It doesn;t matter that you are not quite 50 yet! LOL.. we would love to have you check in with us. We can talk about anything here, but we have some "stuff" that only applies to us, like those dreaded hot flashes x( , knee and joint problemsx( etc. We also have great things in our lives like grandchildren:) ... so join us every day and post what you have been doing for nutrition, for excercise or anything that you would like to let us know..

Jen
I thought our weather was horrible, so sorry your DH has to be outside working in this:( Hope your stomach problem is cleared up. Remember: Babysitting Counts as a Workout! Just another form of cardio!

Josie:
it sounds like you are dedicated to getting weight training into your routine..good for you! I will be in the San Jose area on Thursday. My MIL said it has been great weather there, no humidity etc.

Garance:
I haven't done Gym Styles in a while. Maybe try the shoulder section of Slow & Heavy.. I love that one! Thanks for the breakdown of the Kimberly Spreen workout... they don;t mention any pre-mixes at Collage Video.. hmmm strange. I may tuck this info away for when I get back from California.. Your tomatoes sound heavenly! yum.. Sending good thoughts to your friend from all of us here..

Linny:
How is the hive situation? It sounds like the new job is going to happen! Good for you!

Have a great day
;-)

Good morning Ladies,

I will be doing another Cardio Coach at lunch and I will be running this evening with the Nike group. I'm pacing the 3 mile 12 minute group. It is hard for me to keep a 12 minute pace, I'm a 9 minute per mile runner, so it feels like I'm walking.

Welcome Kims!

Linny, Congratulations on the new job!

Deb, have fund in San Jose. I will be picking up my grandson this weekend from Fresno, I can't wait to see him. He will be spending a whole week with me. I get to celebrate my 51st birthday with him.

Have a great day everyone!

Josie

Happy Tuesday, All,

Welcome Kims - how does it feel to be the ``baby'' of the bunch?!

Woo-hoo, Linny, sounds like this job will be wonderful for you!

Fantastic, Deb, another pound down!

Garance, you're making me drool thinking of home-grown tomatoes.

Josie, sounds like you are in fantastic shape. How wonderful to get a whole week to spoil your grandbaby rotten!

Yesterday I did Core Max 1, Stretch Max 1, and Leslie Sansone's Walk and Jog. I was actually tired afterward. I like Leslie's jog and kick DVDs much better than the ones that are just walking - those get so boring I want to pull my hair out!

Tonight, I plan to do Crunch Cardio Salsa and Classical Stretch Oceanside, from the Thirty-Minute Express workouts.

Have a wonderful day,
Jen

Bonjour ladies--

I did the cardio timesaver on LIC, which I personally regard as more difficult than doing it in circuits, because the HR never goes down.

Welcome Kims!

Deb, there are 3 Kimberly Spreen workouts I own, and the one with the alternating combat and kickbox intervals is called Absolute Kickboxing. The other two are Kickbox Bootcamp, which has quite a bit more impact, and another that uses the step lengthwise. Both of these are shorter workouts.

Rant: There's this ad on TV, I think for some type of health insurance for the elderly, and for some reason I just want to smack this old woman who ends it by saying, "What does getting old feel like? You can do ANYTHING!" She sounds so sure of herself that it infuriates me. I feel like shaking her and saying, "No, you idiot, you can't!" That is what I have learned over the past few years about my workouts--that it is courting pain and injury if I try to do all that jumping.

Another rant: Apparently there's an "amusement" park in Orlando that is religious. It's called the Holy Lands Park or something like that. Every day they do a staging of the last supper and crucifixion. I just shook my head in disbelief when I read about it.

I needed to get that off my chest, I guess.

I am reading a very funny book at the moment, called Slummy Mummy. Character reminds me of Bridget Jones and what she would be like married with three children.

Hi Ladies:
Welcome Kims, the more the merrier. We'd love to get to know you.
Deb:Hooray! On the weight loss. You lucky dog going to California. I went in April and loved it. Hives are much better but not sure if its because weather and water warmer.
Jen: Hope your weather is better today. Ours is still sticky. Sounds like you have alotof variety in your workouts.Good for you!
Josie: Have fun with your grandson. How old is he? I'll be 51 in Nov.
Garance: Kimberly Spreen sounds like fun.Maybe I'll give it a try.
Thank God your friend is ok. She'll probably have phobias about bridges the rest of her life,I know I would.
I did Bodymax today and chest. I'm going to the lake in a few, so I wanted to send a quick hello. I'll be back tomorrow morning.~Linny~

Hi Linny,

My grandson will be 3 in November and I will have another grandson or a girl in November.

Josie

Although I have not been posting, please know that I have been reading the "feed."

This morning I did PUB. Tomorrow PLB.

Will be out of town from Thursday to Sunday, taking daughter number 1 to medical school.

Had my cholesterol retested and with the twenty pound weight loss, I dropped 50 points. The ratio went up a bit but is still in the good range. Avoiding medication for the time makes me feel good.

Regards to all.

Rhonda

Rhonda: Great Job!Woo-Who!
Josie: I loved it when my grandkids were that age. They say the funniest things then;-) sometimes too honest.~Linny~
