Good Morning:

It is raining like crazy here. We really need it. Today was Gym Style Legs/Timesaver pre-mix. 30 minutes, 201 calories. I started to do the Leg Blast pre-mix on B&G and couldn't get past the walking lunges. Plus I was a little ticked off that there was no warm up, so I switched to Gym Style Legs instead. I am down a pound yea! 16 more to reach my goal.

Today;s Menu:
Today's Menu:
Post workout protein shake
B: Cherrios w strawberries and skim milk
S: LF yogurt
L: Employee Appreciation Day Chicken Barbeque!
S: Apple w/stringter cheese
D: Not sure but something light because of lunch!
S: WW Choc ice cream Bar

No one responded regarding Dancing with the Stars so I assume no one is watching this season:(

Jen:
Glad you decided to stick with us! Hope your dental apt was ok. My poor DH gets slammed every day he goes to work... "I'd rather have a baby than come in here"... so far he doesn't have a complex:7

Josie:
Good to hear your friend is getting the treatments that will hopefully make it easier on her.

Garance:
Isn't there something called "sashimi" (sp?) that is a cooked sushi? I am not too familiar with this because I don;t eat much fish. A 70 pound puppy? Wow! That is incredible, to have your leg broken like that.

Linny:
Kudos to you on your weight loss!!:7 . You should add the weight tracker to your signature line... it's goofy but fun to keep track that way.. Yes.. Zappos is my favorite web site. I can actually sit there and gaze at the millions of shoes not realizing how long I am on there, without buying anything. DH laughs at that. Apple picking sounds like fun..what do you do with all the apples?

Have a great day;-)
Deb

Happy Thursday, All,

Deb, that is such a rude thing for people to say to your DH! Some people can be so clueless. I'm crazy about my dentist, and, even if I dread going, I would never say that to her.

Deb and garance: I love tuna also, but I haven't tried anything I don't like. I have to have it with pickled ginger and wasabi, though. Deb, I think sashimi is raw and sushi is cooked. garance, correct me if I'm wrong about that. As far as the cooked stuff, I love eel and California rolls (crab).

Josie, I'm praying for your friend.

Deb and Linny, woo-hoo on your weight loss!

I had to get the ball rolling on the physical therapy issue this morning, since my doctor's office never called. The paperwork has now been faxed to the PT facility, so I'm waiting on a call from them.

I'm planning on taking the grandsons to a church near my house this weekend for their fall festival. They really go all out - it's as big as some carnivals.

Have a wonderful day,
Jen

Hi Deb and Jen and later posters--

Gosh it's humid here. We had a little spurt of rain this morning, but the sun is out again and it's sticky out there. I did Gym Style Back, Shoulders, Biceps. Now there's another DVD--Gym Style Legs--that I don't think I have ever done. You are inspiring me Deb to get it out. Incidentally, I DON'T do the pushups on Gym Style Chest and Shoulders on my toes. I am right down there on my knees for all of them. Only on rare occasions do I do--or try to--pushups on my toes.

Sashimi is when you order the raw fish without the little fingers of rice and dabs of wasabi underneath, which are sushi nigiri, and the fish is mostly raw, although there are the occasional pieces of cooked shrimp and eel on the fingers of rice. I like the California roll and Tekka Maki roll. Yep--the pickled ginger is a must have, and also more wasabi dissolved in soy sauce for dipping.

Yes! I am watching Dancing With the Stars. But I don't have any favorites yet.

Go Red Sox!!!! (Had to get a little cheer in.)

Good luck on your PT, Jen. It's probably important after that neck injury. As for me, I did a bout of PT for my chronic knee problems a couple years ago, but it was silly because it was just like what I had been doing with Cathe over the years--squats, lunges, leg presses. What worked and still does is that good old needle filled with cortisone, after which I can again do squats, lunges, leg presses.

Hi Ladies:
Garance: We also stilll have the humidity. I was sweating bullets this morning. I thought we were getting relief last night but no. Go team Go!!!
Deb:Have been watching bits and pieces of Dancing w stars. Marie Osmond looks pretty good for her age. My DH saw Jane Seymour and says she looks great. I'll have to check it out.
You don't want to know what I do with the apples}( Actually its applecrisp and applecrumb pie:9 Hopefully I'll find some lowfat versions that will keep DH happy.
Menu for yesterday:
SpecK w/milk
Protein drink,almonds
slimfast bar
healthy handfuls
chicken florentine, brown rice,bread
skinnycow
Jen: I also love my dentist but I can think of better things to do.Hopefully PT will be quicker than your MD's office. Praying you mend fast. Have fun at the festival.
Josie: Thoughts and Prayers to your friend. Hope new chemo is doing good things for her~Linny~
