Good Morning!

Today was KPC first 2 combos, S&H Biceps& Abs . Lost 1/2 pound this week. I may not be eating enough calories so I am going to really try the ziz zagging method more diligently.

Rhonda: Good for you to be doing BC! Way too much modifying is needed for me to do this and get a good workout. My knees can;t take it anymore, I love ME! I think I am going to start a rotation using that one next week. Good for you on the weight loss!:)

Garance: I think people either like to dance, or hate it! My DH is a hater. Do you quilt? That is what I like to sew. Too hot right now to do that thoughx( Have fun at the ballet!

Linny: Hugs to you from all of us here! Sorry about your skin problems! a rash too? Are you going in for allergy testing? You are on vacation? I thought you quit the job. ?

Jen: umm... I don;t think I will order that stretch DVD after your description LOL.! Thanks again for the name of the underwear.. I may order some of the ones from that site.

Have a great day!

:) Deb

Greetings to all:

Deb: Because of my wrists, I never can do to the tricep dips. I think it is wonderful that you can do as many as you do. You can make them easier or harder by where you position your feet.

Garance: Before we had children, my husband and I took ballroom dancing classes. We were bad, but had a lot of fun. Now his schedule is irregular so it is difficult to plan to take a class. In addition, he is pooped when he gets home. The only sewing I do is occasional quilting. We just cleaned a ton of books out of the basement. I took the last load to the library used bookstore yesterday. It was painful to part with some, but if we had not read them in 20-30 years, perhaps somebody could make better use out of them…hope that made sense.

Linnryn: Sorry that you are still having “dermatological issues”. It is like the domino effect. Hope you feel better.

Jen: I got the classical Stretch DVD that you are talking about, but have not yet tried it. I am going to make it a priority. How did Amy Bento go?

I am not a happy camper, because tomorrow I go for my annual routine mammogram. However, right now I am going to the basement to do Kick Max Low Impact Premix and abs. Then more of the usual.

Regards,

Rhonda

Good Morning Deb and Rhonda and those to follow:
Deb: KPC is fun but pretty tough. My bladder doesn't like the jumping
:-( .Great Job on the weight loss. I did quit on job on the 13th,so I quess you can say I'm on an extended vacation. I did have some blood drawn and waiting for results. My MD thinks this hive/eczema thing is due to being premenopausal. So I'm waiting to see if blood tests show I am. I got to call him today and find out.
Rhonda: I can relate about dips(ouch) I just had a mammogram a few weeks ago. I could think of a few better things to do:p . But better safe than sorry.
Jen: Please tell us about Amy Bento dvd.I've been thinking about getting it.
Garance: How was the ballet? Hope you had fun.
I'll check in later~Linny~

Hi Ladies,

I will be spinning this evening and I need to start packing for my vacation. I will be going to Cabo San Lucas from July 23rd to the 27th. I'm taking my cardio coach workouts, so hopefully I will get to use them.

Linny, Sorry to hear that you still have the hives!

I love to dance and my husband and I try to go once a month. We love to dance Disco and Salsa. I used to paticipate in Disco dance contests with my e-husband and we used to do very well.

Happy Thursday, All,

Amy Bento Kickbox Xtreme was . . . weird. Let's see if I can explain coherently:

Up until now, I've loved every Kickbox tape or DVD I've ever come across. It's my favorite form of exercise. I had high hopes for this DVD, since I liked her Hi-Low DVD from the same series.

The good:

1. The music was certainly different. I think I would have liked it a lot if more songs had been used. I can only remember 3 in a DVD that lasted close to 80 minutes.

2. Amy is really enjoying herself, and I didn't really notice the bad form I've read about in other reviews.

3. The modifier is a pregnant lady. She modifies a lot of the moves and is always clearly visible.

4. There are some new and interesting moves.

5. Today, I can feel the exertion I put out yesterday in a new area - the outsides of my lower legs from knee to ankle. I can also feel the muscle curving around from that area to straight across the top of my shin, just under the knee.

The bad:

I was not expecting complex choreography in a kickbox tape. Even so, it wouldn't have been so bad if not for the following:

1. Amy cued as she did moves, and rattled off the whole combination - by the time she finished, she was halfway through a combination. Many times I was staring at the screen going ``Huh?'' She also used words I hadn't heard before for some of the moves.

2. Since she kept TIFTing, I got really confused because the combos used combinations that were quite similar, but slightly different, so, for example, if she began with a jab, jab cross, I was frantically trying to remember if she was going to go into the combination from Block 1 or Block 2.

I didn't have fun at all this time, but I think I can remedy it by just going chapter to chapter on the menu, instead of the combining she used when going straight through the program. I think that will clear up a lot of my confusion.

Have a wonderful day,
Jen
