Good Morning to all that follow!

Today was cardio/abs, I did an I-Tread 30 minute and Abs of Steel II. My right knee had a couple of twinges when using the incline on my treadmill at 10%.. I hope I am not starting an injury sessionx(

Today's Menu:
Post Workout: protein drink with ice & water
B: Cherrios with strawberries and skim milk ( thanks Linny!)
S: LF Yogurt
L: PB&J on WW roll, grapes, skim milk
S: apple & stringster,
D: Open Chicken Souvalki, pita
S: WW choc ice cream bar, or Skinny Cow

Garance:
I am with you on the impact factor of the new workouts. I too, will be figuring out modifications. I am more worried about the complexity of the step. I am not good at that and get frustrated when I can't get the moves down. I am so looking forward to the weight portions. If necessary, I will sub the cardio and do the weights only. I would like to see that dress you made!

Jen, Josie, Linny ...Where is everyone???

Have a great day

Hi Deb and those to follow: I'm still here. Just can check in right now, I'll try later. Very busy with quests sleeping over and wedding plans.~Linny~

Hi Ladies,

Sorry for not checking in. I have been very busy at work also and did not get a chance. Today is my day off and tomorrow I will be running and Sunday I will be doing the dunes + running.

Hi Deb, Linny, Josie--

I did the new Low Impact step this morning, skipped the shoulders because I did them yesterday, and did the calves and core work. The step portion is 30 min. long, and a little tricky--especially the third combo--but I will get it in time. There's one move I definitely will not do. You sweep your leg to the outside as you step forward over your step and then do the same move backwards. I remember trying this on another instructor's routine a few years ago and practically killing myself on that backward stepping move. Cathe says to look down when you make the move, but I just feel like I'm stepping back into the unknown.

I stayed up way too late last night to savor the Red Sox beating the Indians, so I am more tired than usual. Glad it's Friday and tomorrow is my day off. (Go Red Sox!!!! Back in Fenway tomorrow night.)

I teach Plath's bee poems this afternoon. She wrote all five of them during the week her husband was leaving her and their children. It took me awhile to figure this out--by studying honeybees with a local beekeeper's help--but it turns out that the week when he's packing up to go is also the week in October when the female worker bees kick out the drones for the winter. The drones are utterly useless except for mating, so out they go. As one of the poems says, "They have got rid of the men / The blunt, clumsy stumblers, the boors."

Sounds like everyone is super busy!

Hi Ladies: I have a spare moment.
Deb: Have you ever had the Skinny Cow icecream cones? They are delicious. Be careful with those twinges. My knee was hurting for some time(probably from some step move) and its starting to feel normal again.
Josie: You still are the number one energizer bunny.
Garance:How many have the Red Sox's won? The last I heard they were 2 down.I hope everyone has a nice weekend.~Linny~
