Good Morning all:

Today was Pure Strenght Chest/Shoulders/Triceps.. this workout gives me DOMS in places I have never had them before! sides of chest, where that ole'bra strap fat lies! x( LOL.

Linny:
Too funny on the site with the pictures.. I will have to go over there. I guess it requires that you have some downloaded pictures on your computer to work with? I am right with you on the weight goal. My goal was to lose 30 pounds by Feb 1. I am at 9 right now, losing about a pound a week. I don;t think you need to do more than that because then I am starving and all the more tempted to "cheat". Have you ever used Fitday.com? It really helps. I got into such a routine with it, keeping calories around 1400-1500, that I basically know now what to eat so that I stay around that amount. I have one cheat meal a week ( usually Mexican) that I look forward to and each day after dinner I have either a Slim- a Bear ( reduced calorie Klondike bar) or a WW chocolate covered chocolate ice cream bar:9 This are really good. Good luck and if you want to start posting what we eat etc I would me more than happy to do this on this thread, We are here to support each other!;)

Garance:
Let me know if you get the DOMS that I mention above with the PS CST. We are also having a "cool" spell here. I like it because of the low humidity. Low Humidity = good hair days! The soup sounds interesting..

Rhonda:
I hear you on the meetings. My job consists of meetings, conference calls and replying to e-mail. The only time I get up is to get coffee or go to the ladies room! You lucky dog! going into the hot tub:7 I would love to have even just the foot bath that they use when you get a pedicure.. I am addicted to pedicures! Your weight bar says you have reached your goal ^^^^ HIGH FIVES TO YOU!^^^

All:
There was a thread on the Open forum about nails and using acrylics, gels, or not etc. I just won something called OPI Nail Envy on
Ebay that is supposed to help make your nails harder and less peeling etc. I had acrylics on for years, had them removed about 6 months ago. They grew out good, and were doing ok, but all of a sudden they all starting peeling and breaking etc. Not sure if it is the diet or something I have done.. just wondered if you had a good type of treatment etc that works for you.

Have a great day
Deb

Greetings from the swamp,

Can you tell that I am jealous of you guys and your lovely weather? I just keep telling myself to remember what it's like in Houston from mid-October to mid-April.

Deb, I can't help you on the nails - I've never had acrylics or any other kind of fake nails. My nails have always been very strong, so much so that when I was pregnant and taking prenatal vitamins, I literally couldn't use nail clippers on them - they were just too strong. Now, I have to keep them clipped super-short since I'm on this computer all day.

Which leads me to what you ladies mentioned about hating to sit for 8 hours a day. No kidding! I make sure to walk outside of the building to get breakfast and lunch; also, when I go to the ladies' room, I frequently take the stairs to another floor just to get some exercise. That is, ahem, except for the times when I've waited too long!

Yesterday, I did Solid Gold Step (Christi Taylor) and Classical Stretch 30-minute Express, Spanish Hallways.

Today, I plan to do Slow & Heavy Chest & Back. I dread the Slow/Heavy tapes, but I feel quite a sense of accomplishment when I finish one.

Have a wonderful day,
Jen

Hi Deb and Jen and later posters--

Today I did Gay Gasper's All Out Infused Step. Love the music on this one.

I cannot help you either on the nails. I don't even polish mine.

I haven't done the Slow and Heavy series in a long time. Hmm--maybe I will do one tomorrow.

The weather continues to be in the 60s here and not humid. My hair looks awful when it gets humid. It's very fine and just frizzles up and goes flat. Sort of like spun sugar that is rained on.

Are any of you going to buy some of those Ohmybod outfits from the new series? I like the looks of some of them a lot.

Finished the second half of Seven Samurai last night. These new Criterion DVDs are better than seeing the film on a screen. Next: L'Avventura, which I am also teaching this fall.

Hi Ladies: Been ppretty busy this morning with house cleaning. But I did get to do an oldie of Cathe's Stepheat and back from UBP.
Deb: You're right about needed pictures downloaded on the computer. But if I can do anyone can. Good for you with your 9lb loss.I'll have to check out fitday.com. I went to I-Train last night and downloaded a free nutrition session,to see if I'd enjoy them. Its a good idea about posting what we eat. I know when I did WW online and had to write down everthing ,I became more aware of problem eating. How about we start next week? I think I'm going to take a picture of myself so I can do the before and after thing. About your nails-Sorry I don't know much about acrylics. But I did have them about 7yrs ago and it took forever for my nails to go back to normal.
Jen: Good luck with S+H. Iwas checking that one out today and then remembered how sore I was the next day so I put it back.
Garrance:I have a few Gay Gasper dvds, another great instrutor. Maybe once I lose some weight I'll check out those Ohmybod outfits.I'll check in later.~Linny~
