Hello to all:

I was very busy today with gardening, shopping etc so did not get a chance to get to the boards until now. It looks like everyone is having a busy day as well. Today was my "official" rest day however I have not done anything since Wednesday and I feel very guilty. I will start another week of my muscle endurance rotation tomorrow with the Pyramids again.

Linny: I think all will start to come back together for you when you get the new job and a routine. Between the stress of the old job and the hives, who could blame you for going off track a bit?

Josie: you are still our resident gazelle! I too take Vitamin B Complex along with Vit E and Calcium with Soy. I really believe this helps the hot flashes.

Garance: Your vacation sounds heavenly! another one here that does not swim. I think it has to do with your parents when you are growing up. Neither of mine swam so I never learned to swim. Good for you for keeping up with some type of workout. 3 miles a day is great! Have fun at the ballet.:)

Have a great day... I'll be back tomorrow;)

It is Sunday and I see no one checked in yesterday! Where is everyone? Hopefully having a great weekend!

Today I did the Pyramid Total Body pre-mix which is a combination of upper and lower body, doing the "up only" portion of the excercises. No core. 64 minutes- 383 calories. I took a little longer between sets than Cathe does. She changes weights so fast in this workout, I barely have time to look at my notes to see where to go..

Off to finish laundry and get the house ready for my cleaning lady to come tomorrow. DH still does't understand why we "clean for the cleaning lady" LOL:D

Hopefully someone will check in later.

Deb;-)

Hi Deb--

I did Kimberly Spreen's kickboxing and combat interval premix (approx 70 min.) this morning. At the moment, my shoulders feel pretty sore,I think because I use a 10 pound bar for the combat intervals. This is a really fun workout, though.

Oh my--I definitely know how to swim. I'm from Minnesota, Deb, "land of 10,000 lakes," and during the summer I went swimming everyday as a child. I really miss the lakes here in Massachusetts. It's the ocean that stymies me. You have to get way out past the waves to swim, and the lifeguards won't let you go over your waist. My husband likes to bodysurf, riding the waves in, but I have never really gotten the hang of this--and, if I go out alone, I get lost coming back in because I am so nearsighted, and the ocean tends to push you in one direction or another.

The dance troupe yesterday did not really do ballet but more contemporary choreography. One dance, titled "Pair-a-dice," was by a Japanese choreographer, and it was mesmerizing. The dancers just seemed to be floating and responding to invisible air currents in these wave-like movements. The second dance, titled "Loin" (French for "far"), was by a very young Belgian choreographer, and I had mixed reactions to it. One more performance in two weeks, and that is close to the end of Jacob's Pillow's season.

Gosh it's beautiful here today--sunny, low 80s, no humidity. I wish summer would go on forever when it's like this.

I am getting scared looking at those premixes for the new DVDs--30 lb. dumbbells and a 62 lb. barbell are listed for some of them. Yikes!!
