Good Morning all.

Well I am back from Baltimore. Glad to be home. I did not do any excercising while I was there so now am ready to gear up for using S&H in a one part per day rotation.. I hope to intermix this with cardio.

Linny: so sorry about the hives! I hope you are able to get this under control soon. It is strange that they are stress induced, but it seems like that is what is happening..maybe when you give your notice, your stress level will drop and things will get back to normal. No job is worth this. It would be interesting to see if you have this happen when you are at the lake, relaxing.

Kathy: interested in hearing about the new rotation, using Tracey Staehle workouts. I have not read anything about them, but will go over to Collage and check them out.."sculp sweat fest".. hmmm. you say you can go really heave with these? Definetely don;t mind you listing your food here! We need this to push us to your level with BFFM.

Melrose: sounds like you are really enjoying the step workouts!!

Garance: I do not subscribe to More magazine but have read it in my hair salon.. it does address issues for the over 40 ( or 50!) crowd. Don't you just love that SS upper body pre-mix? I have to go heavier next time as I was not sure what was coming up so I went too light.

Question: is anyone going to get into the pre-sale that is coming up Monday? I really would like a 4 day split that has cardio, but am kind of on the fence because I don;t like her high impact step or the boot camp type cardio.. too much impact.. I'd be interested to hear who is going to go with it.

Answer to previous question of the day: Susan Harris in the Firm I..

Have a great weekend!

Deb:)

Happy Weekend!

I am going with the four day split. No question about it. Everything is "modifiable" if the impact is too much. Very excited.

This morning did time saver premix of High Step Challenge and Power Squeeze Workout. I am tingling. Hope I will be able to walk tomorrow.

Going to look into More Magazine.

Regards to all.

Rhonda

Happy Saturday, All,

I wound up baby-sitting for my grandson last night, do didn't do a DVD. Candace Copeland will have to wait until tonight. I got pretty aerobic a time or two running after the two-year-old, though!

garance, I subscribe to More. I really enjoy it - wish there were more magazines geared to Boomers!

fox2star, I think this is the first time ever I will not be taking advantage of a Cathe presale. I'm waiting on reviews.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing weekend - Jen

Good Morning and Happy Sunday to all:

I did Slow & Heavy Legs & Shoulders today.. absolutely love this workout! The rest of the week I will be doing cardio and one body part from this series.. kind of funny thing is that I had this series on VHS a couple of years ago and hated it after doing it once! I actually sold it on Ebay! Strange how your tastes in workout methods change over the years..I could actually do the static lunges which I usually have a hard time with .

Rhonda: I will probably "cave" and get into the pre-order too, but I just don;t know about even modifying something Boot Camp like.. too much jumping around etc. How do you like HTC? can''t believe you did that and Squeeze!

Melrose: yes.. babysitting a 2 year old does count as working out! I think I will look at Ebay for a subscription to More.. you can get some really good deals on magazine subscriptions there.. I'm with you on waiting for the reviews on the 4 day split.. but even if you do try that, like I did with the last series, everyone is talking so much about them that you get swept up in the flow and end up ordering anyway! I really dislike the last series and will be selling most of them when I get time to take the pictures etc.

Just checked Ebay, there is a 3 year subscription up for bid for $16.95, free shipping.. not sure what the regular price is but this sounds pretty good..however the seller has bad feedback so I will not bid on this one.. I'll look at the More website and see what they have..

Have a great rest of the weekend! BBtomorrow

Deb;-)

Good morning Ladies:
Welcome Back Deb.
I'd like to thank you ladies for all your support. I've been having a tough time with not being able to exercise do to this hive thing.
I'll probably have to go back to the MD this week. Because I continue with breakouts as soon as I think of work.Even relaxing at lake it pops into my mind and the hives come.
My children and friends do agree that I have a toxic boss. I really wanted to stay because I love the residents and staff. But my health is more important at this time.
I do subscribe to More magazine they have alot of interesting articles that pertain to me.
I definitly need to watch my weight more because prenisone does cause weight gain. ;( Ill check in later.~Linny~

Linny:

So sorry to hear that you are still suffering from hives, even when you are relaxing on the weekend! What types of things does this boss do? I am a manager with 100+ people under me. I also have 6 managers that manage these people. I cannot even think of what she must be doing! Are the situations/incidents something you should report to your HR department? Does the place have some type of avenue for this? I know that if a person working at our place had this type of thing going on, the HR department ( and myself) would be involved immediately and the manager would not be able to continue whatever she is doing. Are there others that she is doing this to? Maybe go in a group to HR? I hope you are documenting every incident, date, time and exactly what happened, and if there were witnesses, put their names in as well. This goes a long way if you are going to go to HR with this.

I just hope you can resolve this soon or get a differnt job. No one should have to live like this x(

Hi Deb, Melrose, Linny et al--

Yesterday I was off, but today I did Kimberly Spreen's Absolute Kickboxing and Body Bar intervals--about 72 minutes of a premix. I use the ten pound old firm barbell without weights, but I don't have as big a range of movement as Spreen does. I was able to do the helicopters in the final interval today (last time I couldn't do these up to speed).

Went to Jacob's Pillow yesterday to see the Georgian Ballet (the country, not the state) and saw Nina Ananshavilli for the first time. She is a prima ballerina with the Bolshoi and with American Ballet Theater. The three pieces were beautiful--Balanchine's Mozartiana (made originally for Suzanne Farrell), Trey McIntyre's piece (my favorite) based on an African folk tale that in the moments before death, the best scenes from your life return to you. It was just plain full of joy, humor, romance and lots of quirky movements and a ton of spectacular lifts. The finale was by the 19th century inventor of ballet--Petipa--and was full of leaps and turns--the Divertissement from Don Quixote. Very fun afternoon. Went out to dinner with DH too.

Yeah, I will definitely do the presale, even though I am worried about the Boot Camp one. The way I figure (or rationalize), the weights on all of them will be good.

Linny, I just cannot imagine what your boss is doing to you. Since you are planning on leaving, why not write her a letter that spells out your reasons. Maybe she doesn't realize what kind of impact she is having on you--"You are making me sick!"

I cannot make up my mind about tomorrow. I think I will probably do Rhythmic Step or Step Blast.

Did anyone read the piece by Karen Shepard about her father in More? She's a colleague of mine.
