50 and over month of June check in

I just did the Firm Basics Fat Burning. It just showed me it's time to take things up a notch. Anyway, I also had lost one pound this morning. We're getting there, ladies!

Jann, my downfall was some cookies last night after a yoga class. But this morning I'm still holding the initial few pounds off. It could just be the salt in this a that made you gain.

Magnolia sounds like your picking it up some! Good work girl!

Joan, I wish my DH liked to do stuff like that. Sounds fun!

So yesterday I took my 21 year old son to a trainer. He has been on a medication that made him gain a lot of weight. I sat in with him on the planning session and got motivated to add on one more workout everyday. H said just walk on the treadmill on an incline for 30 min and it will burn through the stored fat. This isn't alone, it is with the weight training sessions. But it made me that in addition to whatever else I plan to do that day, I add that on as well. Maybe one thing in the am and one thing in the pm. Also, I don't know if you ever read the success stories in that forum but one girl did that and has lost 50 pounds. She does cardio inj the am before work, then a cathe tape at abut 7 after dinner. I couldn't do that forever, but maybe for a few weeks to see what happens.

Did anyone pre order this time?
 
I didn't preorder this time. I feel like I need to get back into exercise before I waste any more money.

I didn't get even the treadmill in yesterday. I went to bed early with ice pack on my neck. The neck got better but then had a horrible pain at the base of the skull. This lasted forever so I'm not sure how much sleep I got. It seems to be gone now. I have no idea what caused it.

Joan that sounds terrible!! Glad it is gone!

I did STS disc3 this morning (legs) and cycle express 30 min at club tonight. We are being flooded with tropical storm Debbie and it has rained for days. I needed to get out of the house .

Beth, I tried working out 2x's a day for a while a long time ago. It does work. My problem is I sweat soooo much, I had to take 2 showers. Didn't like that. :p I did the opposite though, I did weights in the morning and treadmill before dinner. Glad you are ok from storm. I wish we could get a little rain...

Dropped another pound -- down 5 as of this morning. yay! 5 more to go!! :D

I did spin class with Cynthia - the wild and crazy pin instructer at my club for 1 hour- then we hit the floor for abs. Sometimes it is good to go to the gym because once your there- you are there!

This morning for weights I was still working through the last bit of legs. I decided that since I am making up the rules, the idea will be to just put on the next sts tape but if I cant finish it, Ill pick it up the next day- even if I only get 30 min of weights in the am- it is cranking my metabolism- I am starving!!

I just know I am going to order the new tape as soon as it comes out!
 
I never should have looked at CrossFire. I really liked some of the moves. I would skip the high impact and it still seems like it would give a good wo.
I will have to think about it.

It's hot hot hot today.

I was at Lowes at 7:30am this morning getting rock dust and boards. I think my little project is going to wait though, it's way to hot to be making a new stone area. :rolleyes:

Joan, I have been having this same problem!!!! My doctor ordered a CAT scan for me, which I had done yesterday, as well as a bone scan and two other routine tests. I think mine may be related to my arthritis, but I will see what the doctor says in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, when I had the bone scan done, the lady that helped me commented "They must grow good bones where you come from." All that weight bearing exercise must help!

I didn't burn that many calories, high-five Beth!! I do agree it's great! :D
