50 and over Monday

Hope everybody is doing well.

Came home late last night from bringing my daughter to Medical School. This is ridiculous, but I feel empty nested again. I think the transitions of having "children" come and go is the hardest.

Work starts again on Monday and that should take my attention off the nest. So the focus this week is finishing up the odds and ends.

Did the cardio mix of BM2 this morning and worked up a full sweat.

Got my first issue of MORE. I like it alot. Thanks for the tip.

I am sure this check in will pick up once everybody returns from vacation and September hits.

Meanwhile take care,

Rhonda

Hi, Rhonda--

Yesterday I did High Step Challenge and this morning the low impact premix on Kickmax. I just decided to pull out a couple DVDs that I haven't done very often (I have only done Kickmax 3X and HSC maybe 5 or 6X)because I am feeling a little bored and repetitive.

I know how you feel about the empty nest. I always become very nostalgic when I look at old pictures of my sons, now 23 and 25 and working in the Boston area. Both pretty confirmed bachelors at the moment.

I think I will do the double upper body on Body Max tomorrow--or maybe the warmup and one set of upper body.

So glad you like More. I haven't gotten my issue yet. Maybe it's in the mail today.

Anyone here an Ingmar Bergman or Michelangelo Antonioni fan? They died within a couple days of one another at the end of July. I teach films by both of them.

Have a great Monday!

Happy Monday, All,

Saturday, I had a grandchild sighting after work. Sunday, I had several errands that had to be run after work. I swear I'll get to SuperSets tonight!

Funny empty nest story - my son is a federal law enforcement officer. When he graduated from the police academy and got his first job, it wasn't here in Houston, it was in Austin. The dreaded day came, he packed up his bags and took off, I walked into his bedroom and tears welled up as I looked around. About 5 minutes later, he came back (he'd forgotten something), walked in and said ``What are you doing in my room?'' I didn't cry when he left a few minutes later; in fact, I walked into his room rubbing my hands with glee, thinking of what I could turn the space into!

Have a wonderful day,
Jen
