Good Morning all,

Well I did SS Upper body Blast yesterday, do not feel anything yet.. I think I went too light not knowing what was coming up.. still not one of my favorites. I did Sprint 12 on the treadmill this am and one of the 10 Minute Ab solution add on's.. I did the one where it is all standing.. not sure if this is getting into the abs, will know more tomorrow.. don;t laugh but the one that really gets my abs every time is Tammylee Web's Abs of Steel! there are 5 short sessions, and I usually just take one of those after each cardio session.. from everyone's posts it sounds like I should try Drill Max with a lot of modifications.. is this a circuit workout? do you use weights at all?

Hope everyone has a great day !

:)

Good Morning Deb and those that follow:
I'm going to buy Tom Venuto ebook on Kathy and Deb's suggestion. I must see his eating plan.
Its going to be a busy work week. We're suppose to have a disaster drill.
Today did Stepblast and shoulders. I have Drillmax but I haven't even previewed yet.But it sounds like I'll have to modify too.
Have a great day ladies~Linny~

Hey Linny.. nice to catch someone "on-line" !

When you get the book, let's work out some menu's together and try to do it exactly like Tom says.. Kathy is getting good results and I think it would be fun to do it together.. are you game!

Deb

Morning Ladies!

Yes you 2 should do Tom's meal plan together. However, my small portions are for my body. I'm only 5'2" 107#s. It doesn't take much to fill me up. Your going to need to eat more. If you give me your stats, I can figure out for you how many cals you should consume. The first week I was so FULL I didn't think I could eat another meal. After a while, your stomach gets used to it & growls at the exact time your supposed to eat. :7 For instance, this week my meals are:

Meal 1: Kashi high protein, high fiber cereal w/blueberries & coffee
Meal 2: oatmeal (I use Trader Joe's Flaxseed one) + 4 eggwhites & water
Meal 3: steak/a blend of quinoa, rizzoto, red & yellow grains from TJ's/asparagus
Meal 4: chicken/broccoli & cauliflower w/flaxseed oil
Meal 5: mixed salad w/scallops
Meal 6: protein shake

Take the leap of faith from Tom & do it. The weight comes off right away. Plus its low in fat & everything's clean & nutritious.

Friday: I did Debbie Burns kickboxing.
Saturday: I did Squeeze Power Squeeze section & Custom Squeeze section + Kick Max leg drills. These were easy I was surprised. Then did Tracey's Belly Burner premix from Sculpt Sweatfest + Tracey's hi-lo section from her Cardio Sweatfest.
Sunday: Only had time for Muscle Max upper body.

Went Father's Day shopping for DH + picked up some clothes for myself.:p

Deb: I had no idea you have show dogs. What breed are they? Also what premix on Supersets has it for just upper body? I can't figure that one out b/c of all the different Groups.

Melrose: I too love the music from the Body Blast series. I have no idea what happened since then. Her new offerings in music is boring as well as the choreo. Just too basic for me.

I like Drill Max except for the last drill which comes after those fast running feet. The upper body is functional fitness & I felt it was too heavy on shoulders.

Rhonda: That's what I do w/Spreen's w/outs. When I don't want high impact & something simple, I reach for Kimberly. I too keep hitting my legs w/the bodybar and have the bruises to prove it.:+ You should also try the combat intervals premix. It has an ab section at the end. That's a goodie! Glad your enjoying Squeeze. I started w/5#s & had to drop to 2#s:p You must stop rubbing it in that you have the entire summer off. Still jealous. Enjoy!

Tonight's kickboxing + yoga.

Have a wonderful day! BBL, Kathy:D

Happy (?) Monday, All,

fox2star, yes, Drill Max does use weights. It's a looong circuit workout, but it has lots of premixes.

Garance, thanks for the Gay Gasper tip. I don't have a single one of her DVDs - I don't know why, because I've heard of her and she sounds interesting. Hmmm, you may be enabling me - I've been thinking I need a foam roller, and, of course, the more items I buy from Collage, the more I ``save'' on shipping!

Hi, everyone--

As I planned, I did Squeeze today. I can only do 2 lb dumbells with this workout, which I find really weird, given my weights on my Cathes. I still haven't done the two other sections--Power and Custom. What are they like, Kathy? Do they add up to about an hour as well?

I went to see Waitress yesterday. I liked it, but found it a bit incredible. I just couldn't believe that she ever married the jerk she married--and there's no background to make it believable.

Tomorrow I will do the Gay Gasper All Out Infused Step. I really like this one.

Oh--I finally lost a pound. I also think the South Beach guy is right about losing around the middle with this diet. I feel like I will be in Phase 2 for a long time though if it took me a month to lose one pound. The first two weeks in Phase 1 I lost 7 pounds, so my expectations were raised for swift results.

Anyone watch the season finale of the Sopranos?? Pretty anticlimactic watching Meadow try to parallel park.

Got my two pound dumbells. My DH thought I was kidding when I told him I needed to stop at Sports Authority to buy them. Hopefully I will be able to work up to the 3's.

Tomorrow is weigh in at Weight Watchers. It will be interesting to see if eating more helped me loose weight.

Will post more later if I have time.

Rhonda:D ;-)

Hi Garance!

Power & Custom Squeeze are different than Full Body. Still similar but more intense at least to me anyway. When I did all 3 leg w/outs back-to-back I believe it took me under an hour. The more times you do it, the better you get & the more you squeeze. My legs & butt shake & I feel like jelly once I come off the wall when I finish up w/Windshield Wipers.

A friend of mine was on South Beach & lost a lot of weight. Keep at it Garance. At least the weight will stay off b/c your safely losing it. I purchased the book for recipes. However, they were time consuming. I bought the wrong book.:(

My DH watched the Sopranos finale. He didn't say too much about it. Have no idea what he thought of it.

Since you ladies liked Knocked Up, I'll have to see it.:D

Hi Deb & Linny!

I took the liberty of doing your stats. I think both of you are around the age of 54, height 5'4"? and 156#s? If so, then your daily TDEE = 2131 and to lose weight its 1631 so Tom's meal plans on those pgs. that I referenced is what you both should eat.

Let me know if I've gotten any one or both or ALL of the stats incorrect.

TTYS, Kathy:D
