40's week of Feb 24

I must say, it feels good to back. I missed you guys. Today I did kickbox from 4DS. I could go either way with the XTrain Hard Strikes. How do the rest of you feel? It is not bad or anything. Maybe I just want the break that you get when doing leg work. ???

Mary - I did the XTrain All Out Low Impact HiiT.
Jody - cold food can be yucky. Turn the heat up way high so that the cold food will taste "refreshing". :)
Roxie - how is the unpacking?
Ronne - how was legs & rear delts?
Lisa - hope you are feeling better

I will do All Out Low Hiit today. We have to go back and close on the house today so that chapter or our lives will be closed and while we are there we are going to visit GS.

Jody-upacking should be done today we went to storage and got a dresser and our pantry to help get things more organized.

Roxie - have fun with GS.

Murphy - I'm warming more to Hard Strikes now (having done it nearly every week of the rotation so far!). Still wouldn't be one of my favourites though, I prefer 4DS Kickbox and the MMAs.
I lnow what you mean about the new series - I was thinking the same thing. Well, at least I don't have to decide quite yet.

Jody - I wouldn't want to eat cold food all the time either - don't blame you! Yes, it was me without the microwave. When we redid our kitchen we chucked it out. It's a just grease magnet and we only ever used it to reheat stuff.

Lisa - that is such good news about DS. Must be a relief for all of you. Neesha is also my favourite YT instructor. Adi's stuff is quite challenging and I don't always feel like it. I do like Sarah more now though, she does some different stuff that I haven't come across before.

Mary - Never heard of that one.

Today was HS - I decided to do the whole thing for a change as it's always the timesaver in the rotation. The shoulder stuff was tough and I couldn't complete all the reps (not for the triceps either). I also skipped the sit ups/push ups at the end (I just wanted to see what the whole thing was like so reckoned I could skip a bit!)
Wore my new trainers which are quite similar to the ones they wear in HS, black with pink bits. In fact, I was all in pink and black so looked like one of the crew (apart from the body that is!! :p)
 
I have no w/o to report, just here to say hi :) I did the normal awake from 2-4am, so slept in. This morning I felt pretty good. Went to chiro and got up to 110% on some lumbar mobility thing he puts me on, so I guess I'm all stretched out upwards :) Neck still coming out of alignment, so I'm sure I'll get sore muscles now that he put it back in, enter ice and advil :) He still says I'm too tight, must stretch more in chest, sigh. Not sure if I'll get YT in or not, depends how I feel, I'm pampering myself, if I hurt then I take a rest day!

Ronne, I have the same thoughts on the 3 YT instructors too. I don't think the conditioning part of HS is anything to write home about. Your outfit sounds cute!

Murphy, we are glad you are back too! I feel like an imposter though since I'm kicking back with just walking and yoga :)

Jody, lol about BL. Maybe you just don't like reheated food? I know I don't but I think cold would be worse!

Mary, I think DS job situation is easier to deal with now that he knows he will be leaving. Meanwhile he has no PTO time to take care of anything if he should need to go take some tests the new company will require, or to the dentist, etc. Can't make up that he had a flat tire or anything because they need proof of purchase of new tire or else they will terminate him. So, still waiting ot see how the transition will go. Will not give 2 weeks notice since once he gives notice they will probably just tell him to leave (and then he'd be out of 2 wks of pay).

Roxie, when does the job hunt start?
 
Hello! Late day! I did Tonya Larson, Pure Pump, I like it! Murphy, I like that HIIT workout, no jumping. Those disc jacks get me at the end tho. Ronne, do ou get dressed up to work out? Your outfit sounds adorable! I look like a slob! Jody, 91 with out studying!!! Impressive! Lisa, thank goodness he will be getting out of that environment, it sounds like a nightmare. Hope that you are feeling better. I'm sure with your history, it might take a bit longer to get feeling better. Roxie, how's the un packing going? I was feeling ok (not too sore) so did a YT. You'd think with all this yoga I'd get a bit more flexibility but I feel the muscle soreness from the adjustments just tighten me right back up again!

Mary, you have some different workout dvds that you do!

You guys really need to get on me for not working out I keep coming up with to many excuses, like DH being home.

Lisa-job hunt starts next week I am going to work on a resume tomarrow.

Mary-still unpacking but getting closer almost have all my clothes hung up.
 
Roxie, how many days have you missed on the workouts? Closing go ok? or is that today? hugs and prayers for you around that.

Lisa you are becoming quite the yogini! I will give one of those workouts a look see maybe but I'm still stalling on my one chalene to try.

Ronne, we use our micro a lot for reheating tea and melting stuff. I'm actually grateful for the food and think its quite good quality so I feel guilty when I don't find it appealing but that's the junk food addict in me.

Mary, my spring break starts next week, I just have to go to school and do a lab check off today and still have tutoring Fri and Sat. I'm grateful for a couple of good clinical days this week without too much stress, just work which is fun.

Murphy, I'm happy that HS doesn't appeal to me, it decreases the indecision I face when I choose a Cathe.

I'll do xtend plus another w/o today (tbd). Going to get things set up for next week, appointments, vet, cleaning, etc. OH AC was running on Tues while I worked out, making noise even after it cycled off so I turned off the power to it. I heard more noises, looked at air handler behind filter, white smoke and burning smell pours out! I did what every girl should do when she thinks her house may be on fire...called my Dad who lives 200 miles away in Daytona! AC repair now on list of things to do, too.

Jody - good call! That's what Dads are for (I've got a husband and I still ask my Dad for help on things like that!) Sounds like you might be getting a bit of a break soon, you need it!

Roxie - get your lazy arse off the sofa - stop procrastinating - put down that box and WORK OUT!! (how's that? :D)

Lisa - give it time with the yoga - you didn't suddently start picking up massive weights when you started with Cathe did you? What's PTO?

Mary - I'll have a look at that one. I've vaguely heard of Tonya. No, I don't get dressed up! But I do buy stuff to workout in (cheap, we're not talking feel fitwear prices!). I wore a new outfit today, all black with blue and purple thin lines down the side, very cute! I spend most of my life in workout gear so I might as well have semi-decent stuff!

Today was CBS with Core 1. Please tell me to shut up if I'm annoying but I did the all tap push-ups on my toes (the arm out, tap shoulder, hip, shoulder set) for the first time. I have to tell you lot, as my friends would just look at me funny!
Need to pump up my ball - I'm getting lower and lower!

I will do XT BS Chest Back and Shoulders and get the rest of the unpacking done, we want to hang pictures on the wall to make it more like home.

Jody-I don't think I have worked out since last Friday. The closing was really smooth just went up signed 2 papers and then got our money. It was late so we didn't get to see GS. When my dad was alive I called him all the time even though I was married.

Ronne-I like to wear cute clothes when I workout and like you I don't spend alot of money most of mine came from Target.
 
I took a cue from Lisa with the yoga. I used to like yoga but am not feeling it anymore. I don't know why. Maybe it is the 10,000 downward dogs!

Ronne/Roxie - I too like to wear cute clothes when I work out. I don't spend a lot either. Not that I could if I wanted to...

Jody - congrat's on your grade.

Murphy, I don't like downward dogs either! I give myself permission (one thing learned from the YT w/o's) to take a break from them if need be.

Ronne, PTO is paid time off, I've seen that referred to by the companies the kids work for. It is just a lump sum of vacation time, holiday, sick time. You accrue it each month. We bow down to you with you p/u's on toes! I think that's why I don't like downward dogs? arm strength? at the rate I'm going I'll be starting Cathe weights with the amounts I used years ago, but that's ok. It's a journey, not a destination!

Roxie, that's great that you are about all settled in. I can't yell at you for not doing w/o's, sometimes you have to give yourself reasonable permission.

Jody, OK, I must be the only NON Daddy's girl.....especially the last few yrs of his life, I never forgave him for leaving my Mom after 43 yrs of marriage, Mom would guilt me into seeing him when I would be in FL. Thankfully we did reunite the month before he passed as he did help us as best he could getting us thru our Mother's passing. Funny, I knew when I left FL after Mom's funeral as I hugged him goodbye that I'd never see him again (and his cancer was not diagnosed yet), 2 months later he also was gone. Life works in strange ways. Sounds like you are doing some double w/o days?

slept in again, I'm giving my body permission to heal :) I'll probably be doing YT later, bet you all didn't see that one coming :)
 
Hi girls! Today did premix from AT, back to Cathe! Ronne, I live in work out clothes! I don't use my good ones to work out in tho! I find a lot of stuff on sale, I really like Athleta, but only when they are on sale and when then have an extra discount. Roxie, sounds like you are making great progress on the house. I'm sure when you get everything settled you will get back to your regular routine. Jody, I have two more weeks before break. I call my dad for help all the time too! DH is gone for sometimes 36 hours and I need help, like if the toilet get backed up! Lisa, I kind of like downward dog! It stretches out the whole back side of things. Now, pigeon I have a hard time with! Hope you are feeling better. Did DS hear anything? Murphy, you must have done YM! Have to get DD to sports physical for track, basketball ends saturday, track starts Monday! A one day break! Have a good evening! Mary
 
Today was supercuts. I went light on the weights and will heavy up next time. Hey, has anyone figured out how to print XTrain cards? I have not tried in a while, but I could not figure it out before.

Mary- I don't mind the pigeon pose. Go figure.
Roxie - I agree, all the work and etc. you did on move is reason enough not too push it with the exercise. It is good that it is on your mind - you will get back to it and be healthy from not pushing it.

Good Morning,

I think I have figured out why I am not in the mood to workout 1 is boredom with the 90 day rotation and the other is we have only had sunshine 1 day this week its kind of depressing to see gray skies everday. I have the kitchen down to 2 small boxes and then I need to get to work on the sparebedroom and get my workout room organized. I will do Tabata 2 plus Core 1 and BS CB&S this morning and then later do legs.

Murphy-good job with your workout and thank you.

Roxie - no wonder you don't feel motivated. You've got so much else on your plate. The last thing I'd feel like doing if I'd just moved would be to work out.

Murphy - go you! 8lbs is definitely my max on SC. For the Xtrain cards, I think you have to go in through select a workout, in workout manager, and I think XTrain workout cards comes up as an option.

Mary - I prefere pigeon to downward dog! Tho I don't mind downward dog as much as some people (Lisa!)

Lisa - enjoy the yoga! :)

Did Tabata today - Level 4. I was swearing by the end. I took my step down to one riser which made it all much more doable. The step intervals were killing me!
Going out tonight with DH. We haven't been out on our own for months. Going to a pub that's had a refurb and doing food now. We'll try not to talk about DD all night!
 
I did AOLI, shocker! Just was careful of overhead arm movements. Oh, and I did do a YT last night. DS got his offer letter, they are offering him 6% more in pay, now waiting on start date.

Ronne, I liked pigeon until these YT, I guess the leg that is bent is supposed to be at a right angle? Maybe Cathe says that in her yoga w/o too. My leg doesn't do that! There's lots my body doesn't do!

Roxie, boredom will do that, hence me doing AOLI, was getting bored with yoga. Hoping to spin this weekend, depends on if there is too much muscle soreness after adjustment today. Hoping to go down to 2x a week next week.

Murphy, what was the weights you used on SC?

Mary, I don't like when they hold DD for 5 LONG breathes on YT, and then do it multiple times. Oh, after AOLI, my muscles were really warm, and I have gained a bit of flexibility. Maybe I need to turn the heat up even more when I do yoga? naw, not happening. The thing I like best about yoga? You do it in bare feet and you don't sweat (though I can get pretty warm depending).

Jody, how's the AC? I did our taxes yesterday....boo! I owe I owe so off to work I go :)
 
Mary, where where are you at in Ohio? DH will be in Cleveland March 11th. Should I go with him and meet up with you?
 
Good Afternoon,

I did XT Tabata 2 and Core 1 including the banana crunches and then I did BS CB&S and I feel alot better. I managed to go into town on my own and that also made me feel better. I bought a 25lb dumbbell for one arm rows. Thanks everyone for your kind and reassuring words.

Lisa-I need to do that workout sometime to make up for the day I missed.

Ronne-have fun tonite.
 
Add today's chiropractor visit he said I'm still too tight. Showed him the stretch with yoga strap I am doing he said that is good but I have to do it lots of times a day. He did vacuuming on my shoulders also known as cupping I believe here's a picture immediately after. I can only think it's just going to get worse as the day goes on
