40s - week of 7/10/11

I didn't feel like working out too much today, i stared B&G overall leg premix, nixxed it after 15 min--my legs were too tired or my heart wasn't in it, so did the HR UB premix. Those last 4 DVDs are still freezing up on me. I cleaned them again and if it continues I'm going to have to email Cathe support because they will be unusable to me, regardless of if I have the downloads.

I also returned my fitbit, it stopped syncing with my Mac and read lots of people have the problem. Then the top of it looked like it cracked (again lots of people reporting that problem). The software was a BETA version so I figured why did I pay this much for something that doesn't work? Then we took it back and the salesperson said lots of people are having the same issues. So, basically I think what I did learn was to try to move more....taking 3 walking breaks at work and walking some on the treadmill at home. Hoping these little things add up along with tightening up my diet a bit more. I figure I was walking about 3.5 miles with it on my planned walks, so maybe 2.5 to 3 miles extra than what I was doing a day.

Is everyone back from their vacations?

This morning I did Total Body Stretching I want to try and do some ab work later.

Lisa-I am like you I need to tighten up the diet. I am going to try and get 2 workouts a day in this week won't be able to walk outside its just to hot.
 
Hi girls! We are home! Had a great week, great weather! I did manage to get 4 workouts in! Today not quite sure what I will do, hot here today and the air is not working! How was everyone's week? Roxie, how was your time away? Lisa, sorry about your fitbit. That would be frustrating. Little one had to go to summer school today, he was not happy! I told him it was book club! Hi to Ronne and Murphy! Have a good day, I need to go and call someone about the air conditioning! Mary

Lisa - sounds like technology is letting you down at the moment. I didn't know about your problem with the DVDs. That is a pain.

Roxie - good luck with the two workouts!

Didn't get any workouts in over the weekend. Went to watch DH do the 10k yesterday. His son also ran and came 18th out of 25000!!
Not sure what workout I'm going to do today - maybe a 30 min KCM. Can't decide what I'm in the mood for. Or maybe even some yoga - who knows!

Tonite for me is KCMs Muscle Definition didn't get up this morning so no 2 workouts today.

Mary-I had a fabulous time hate to be back at work.
 
Didn't sleep well last night so slept in late, so no workout for me this morning. Was thinking of doing some cardio tonight when I get home, especially if I get hot and icky during the day and need a shower anyway. It's been so hot and humid here (humid is NOT normal for us) that I've been taking 2 showers a day! I feel like I did when I lived in FLA! So we will see if the spirit moves me to do something tonight and how big a spirit it is! :p

Mary, I could NOT imagine the air not working, this heat is killing me this year. Glad you had a good vacation.

Roxie, come on girl, you were inspiring me to do 2 workouts a day! It's so hard in this heat.

Ronne, DH's son did AWESOME in the 10K! Still slow at work for you?

Speaking of work.....better pretend to do something :confused:
 
I didn't do anything last night either. I did get to open the windows and listen to the rain, so a bit (and I mean a bit) cooler, the humidity is what's killing me. How do you humid people handle it? This is why I moved from FLA! On the plus side I haven't had to use as much lotion :D Up early and gonna do PUB and if I don't fritter away too much time and I have the energy after PUB, I'll try to tack on TF 15 min HIIT
 
Hi all. I feel like such a slouch. I have too many rest days. DH and I went away for the weekend for a graduation party and I did not get any work outs in. I too have not been sleeping well and cannot/do not want to get up in the morning. I think I may need a "sanity" day to get myself together. I don't have any holidays/vacations planned; a day at home is the best I can do.

Mary - I love the "bookclub" idea. I may use that one!

Sounds like a few of a you are suffering from the heat. I'm wafting cooling breezes your way ...

Lisa - so did you manage PUB in the end? Yes, it is still slow. But I've got a couple of small things coming in next week. It's no bad thing, I'm doing lots of organising!

Roxie - well at least you managed a workout despite the heat!

Murphy - don't beat yourself up about it. We all have times like that when it just seems impossible to fit workouts in. You'll get back to it. A day off just for you sounds like a good plan!

I did the Double UB premix from BM2 today. Skipped a few repeats and did NOT repeat the abs section. I'm not that mad - so it came in at 54 mins instead which is a decent length.

Got to clean up my office - just had a new window put in and there's crap everywhere! What fun!

I didn't sleep well last night DH is out of town again. Tonite is cardio of some kind. Suppose to be hot again.
 
Hi girls! Today was PH, yesterday did the TM and floor work from PLB. Well, air man came to look at the unit and then he gave us a big surprise! He condemned our furnace and air! Ouch! So, now we are calling for quotes. Not the best of evenings here! And , I am STILL hot! Little one came home from school yesterday, "it's not book club! It's summer school!". Apparently he announced "I thought this was supposed to be book club?". In class! Wish I could have been a fly! Murphy, did you have fun at your party? Lisa, Roxie stay cool! Ronne, when do you go on vacation? Have a good day, we have a lottery ticket for tonite, I hope it hits! Mary
 
Hi everyone, I did do PUB AND HIIT DWP! How about that! Rest days do wonders!

Murphy, just a day off at home sounds divine to me, especially if no one is around! I have a hard time justifying it for myself since I don't get paid for time off. But if you do, go for it!

Ronne, thanks for the cool breeze, don't think it's working though :) Should get less muggy here, but then it's up to the high 90's again. I agree with you on the BM2 Double UB, those abs are CRAZY to repeat and I tend to only do the one set too! In fact I have this on tap for Thursday!

Roxie, I'm afraid we won't get a break from the heat until fall!

Mary, I think we posted at the same time. That's awful about the a/c and furnace, how old are they? We had to replace our furnace last year, it was 18 yrs old. Our A/C isn't quite that old, but it's close, hope you stay cool! That's funny about the "book club" :p

Tonite I did KCMs KBXing and Turbo Jams Standing Abs. Storms rolled through tonite but it didn't do anything to cool it down.
 
Hi all

Mary - oh bad luck about the furnace and air con. I bet that will cost a bit! We're having a new boiler put in and it's several thousand pounds but at least we made the decision rather than have it made for us. We go on holiday in a month so a while to wait yet.

Lisa - wow, that's impressive! Are you feeling it today?

I did Amy Bento's Hi-Lo Knockout today. Got to about 50 mins and I felt a pain in my calf so decided to be sensible and stop. It's not a tear but just feels a bit bruised.
Just been into town - it's absolutely crazy, full of foreign students and tourists. You have to keep ducking to avoid the cameras!!
 
Hi girls! Today did Rumble, I don't know why I like it so well! Ronne, I am glad this happened in the summer when we have time to look at all the options and not in the winter when we would have to make an immediate decision. We have been in this house 5 years, so I'm not quite sure how old it all is! At least the humidity is down today. No fun going through the change with no air conditioning! Roxie, you cooling off at all? Lisa, can't believe you did both of those in one day! Murphy, you out there? Have a good day! Mary
 
I really must have eaten my Wheaties because today was Plyo legs and MMA Boxing heavy bag bonus. My legs were mighty tired doing those shuffles after Plyo! I was feeling like maybe a pound has budged because after my workout and 24 oz of water and a bowl of oatmeal I was weighing the same as when I woke up, THEN I put on my jeans, oh my, TIGHT, of course I did just wash them. Hoping to see some movement on the scale soon.

Ronne, I'm not up on current events, why are the tourists there?

Mary, I didn't feel bad at all after that big workout yesterday, in fact the bicep section of PUB was easy, although I still can't hold up myself during the ab section after all that UB work. Good luck on getting your a/c fixed.

Roxie, we are sending more heat your way. We've had 6 straight days of torrential downpours in the afternoons (hence the humidity) but soon we will be up into the 90s. does this year feel hotter than last? I swear it is or it's because of "the change".

Murphy, enough rest time, what w/o have you done?

Heat and humidity are still hear it started out not quite as hot but the humidity is horrible. I woke up with a monster headache so I didn't get a workout in this morning. Tonite will be KCMs Split Sessions Lower Body Split.

Ronne-are you where the womens soccer is being played?

Mary-sucks about the air conditioning unit.

Lisa-its suppose to be in the hundreds here the rest of the week and yes it is hotter this year then last.
