40's week of 6/17/12

Good Morning,

I didn't sleep very well again last night a few things are playing on my mind so I didn't get up to go to spin class. Tonite I will go to the gym and do something not sure what yet.

Jody-I was happy burlesque girl went home but I felt sorry for the girl that got kicked in the head.

Ronne-have fun at wimbledon. Its hot here suppose to be in the hundreds this weekend.
 
Back again! Yes, Jody, that's right. Well, actually I have two, one for daytime and one for going out. The evening one lasts about 2 years!!

Meant to say earlier, I had a near disaster yesterday. Decided to be a good girl and use some of my free time to clean the bathroom. I managed to knock a bottle of dark blue nail polish out of a drawer and it smashed on the bathroom floor (black, fortunately) and splashed up the tiles (white!). Running out of the bathroom with broken bottle, I dropped the lid on the beige carpet leaving three dots of varnish. I tell you, if you want a heart-pumping, sweat-inducing workout, just try that! Managed to clean up the bathroom fine and am left with one pale greenish stain on the hall carpet ...

Oh, and just bought myself some shoes for Wimbledon to go with my new dress!!
 
Hi everyone! No w/o yet, slept in, aaah (sorry Roxie), slept 10 hrs straight! I think I'm now caught up on my rest and food intake (still ate a lot yesterday) from the hike. I'm working 1/2 day then plan to w/o (not sure what...cardio of some kind), then start the weekend! Going to be HOT, triple digits again,sigh. DH may be going to St. Louis next week, he's just a US trotting guy. Still waiting for that London trip!

Ronne, Oh man, what a disaster with the polish! Yea for new shoes! I am getting quite the collection that I decided to make a quilted wall hanging of shoes! I'm loving sewing that up! OK, what's a lumpty? You all have such fascinating sayings. I was reading a book and there was an English saying that basically meant "and that's that", I can't remember exactly what it is you all say, "and that's Bob"...or something like that? I swore I would remember it I found it so interesting, sigh, my memory is just too overloaded nothing is staying in there anymore!

Roxie, sounds like your work could be considered a w/o! great job on the body stats! You've been working hard and it's paying off!

Jody, I'll be starting to watch SYTYCD now that top 20 is coming on. I'm contemplating LIC cardio, been a while for that one. Will see what I end up grabbing. I'm hoping next hike is week after 4th of July, you coming? My friend from lunch yesterday may want to go with us next time too.

Mary, If the cool down gets there, don't count on it lasting too long. This summer is HOT! I wanna go visit Ronne!

Hi girls! Today did CSS with DD. Lisa, jealous about the sleep! I bet it felt amazing! Ronne, is the carpet have long strands? Can you cut it out? Or is it a berber? Stuff like that makes me crazy! Roxie, hope you get some sleep tonite. Our minds never stop do they? Congrats on the body changes! You have been working hard! Jody, have fun on your date! I don't wear lipstick, lip gloss is my choice. I do have tons of them, trying to find the perfect shade. Is it out there? I don't know, but I keep trying! Hi to Becky and Murphy! Haha, funny, I wondered if Mary would get twitchy thinking about Ronne's difficult nail polish spill drill.
Lunch with new guy was nice. I broke out my one summer cute outfit, more dates will either involve a downhill in my clothing or a shopping trip for me. (and congrats on shoes to ronne)
I'm wondering if the multi-lipstick/gloss/liner/colorstay/wand/pot/reds/pinks/peachy/frost/no frost thing is part of American consumerism?

OK, I did pm 3 of Lis LIc (all combos put together, blast, all combos, blast) and then SG cardio. (except I skipped second round of blast in LIS LIC- I was more interested in mastering the choreog of combos)

Things I noted: 1. It would be cool to put those sections together on wo blender. 2. I think I pd for those dl but never dl them b/c I don't use blender (don't play well on my computer)3. I'd like more cueing and earlier cueing in that series. There are times when she says burpees and does burpee into straddle push up (which I notice when I jump up from my burpee), says "other side" but doesn't say what on other side and I think my back is to her. Once I learn it, I won't care but for now I am stumbling a bit in places. and that's Bob.

Tonite I went to the gym and did the elliptical. Its hot here today and since we have what is called Country Stampede the gym was practically empty.

Jody-I have a bunch of lipstick and gloss but I always forget to wear it and when I do I forget to reapply.

Mary-no such thing as the perfect color as far as I am concerned.

Checking in on a Saturday, whatever next?!! Numpty, Lisa, is a word for an idiot but it's nice and affectionate. It's regional so not all Brits would recognise it.
Did Travel Fit today, so workouts done for the weekend and ... Bob's your uncle!! Yeah, we use it in instructions, so do that, that, that, etc. and Bob's your uncle. I'd love to see Cathe use it in a DVD!!! :D

Jody - believe me, rampant consumerism is alive and well over here!! We like to keep up with our neighbours across the pond. It's just me, I don't buy much make-up. We've also caught up with you on obesity statistics, 60% of Brits are overweight and 25% obese. Unheard of 30 years ago.

Roxie - so what is Country Stampede??

Mary - no, can't cut it out. Just got to live with it. Fortunately, it's behind a door so not too noticeable!! I'm so jealous about the pool!!!!

Having a nice family day tomorrow, going to see MiB3 at the pics and then going for afternoon tea at posh hotel!! Belated Father's Day treat for DH.
 
MM done, not stepping foot outside, it's going to be over 100, again, and tomorrow too. Did mop the floor, and vacuum a bit and wiped up the bath a bit.

Jody, she doesn't cue very well in that series but I'm getting MUCH better at it, as long I my brain stays in it! I KNOW there are a couple of places she says the wrong foot to put down! I really need to organize my d/l's. I always forget about those.

Ronne, love those sayings. MIB3, I bet DH would love to see that one. We never go to the movies anymore, wait for it to come out to watch in our comfy home.

Roxie/Mary/or whoever started the lip gloss thing. I'm a la natural, finally! I remember when I got married, DH said, I like you better with makeup when I wouldn't wear any on the weekend. I told him, tough, get used to it, then finally a few yrs ago I started going to work w/o it. I do have to use carmex on my lips though in this dry dessert climate. Now he prefers me with no makeup, go figure.

Murphy/Becky, you all with us?

Well, off to sew or read, chores and w/o done, now to try to stay cool, and Bob's your uncle!

Hi girls! Today did LL, then the floor work from PS legs. Also went for a bike ride, we got a tandem bike for Christmas, fun! Lisa, don't send that heat this way! 80 here today, perfect! I have had a migraine all day so stayed off the computer. I went to the gym this morning and did the stationary bike my legs are killing me. Dh and I are removing the popcorn from our ceiling in the workout room and tomarrow we are going to paint it and the walls.

Ronne-country stampede is when 50,000 country fans come to down for a 4 day concert its always hot or rainy and traffic is crazy. Imagine alot of overweight people wearing stuff that is totally not appropriate and they consume mega doses of beer.

Lisa-I could never go to work without makeup but on the weekends I don't hardly wear any.
