40's week of 10/30/11

today was Athletic Training, it was HARD in the beginning and I didn't know if I would be able to do all the way through, thank goodness the cardio let up (or at least it did for me, maybe because I didn't do the tricep dips or the back part (I don't like band work esp for back, I pull my trap sometimes).

Roxie, they are saying 5 - 10 inches. I still don't see anything on Turbo Bar and it still freezes, maybe I need better glasses, i'll try to clean it anyway and see, sometime. Feeling overwhelmed again. And yes Roxie kids can be a pain and it never ends!

seems I had more to say but I can't remember now. That seems to be happening more often. :eek:

Lisa - that lunch sounds delicious. I love Japanese food!! Well done to your DH as well on cutting your tree down. We struggle getting the end off our Christmas tree once a year!!!

Murphy - it sounds like you're enjoying the new series. What's your favourite so far?

Jody - did your girls dress up?

I did PUB today and had slightly noodly arms in the shower (my UB was already hurting a bit from the kickboxing yesterday). Got some good news, been offered some work that will take me into next year. It's a big relief! Still got to watch the spending though so no celebratory splashes!

Congrats on work, Ronne, I am struggling with some work choices myself.
 
Ronne - congrat's on the work. My favorite LIS so far is Slide & Glide. I cannot do the burpees, yet, but I am working on it. I did like Afterburn, but that one really kicked my butt. Cardio Supersets was bearable, then again, I did not use weights so... I am not a big fan of yoga so I cannot really say much on those two.

Hi girls! You all have been hopping here today! I did Trisets LB today, again decieving for such a simple looking workout! I think I might be sore tomorrow! Jody, your girls are beautiful! What are you getting your degree in? I'm sorry if you have told us before, I think Lisa gave me her memory loss! Murphy, I thought slide and glide was hard! I really need to work on my coordination, it is not quite there yet! Did your kids get a big haul of candy? I have been eyeing up the bags... Lisa, more snow?! We are in the 60's right now and I hope it stays that way! Ronne, Yeah on work! What was your DD for Halloween? Roxie, hope it works out for your DD! Do you have to help move her back in? I hate moving! Well, I have to get to my homework and get ready to go to a meeting at the school. I have something else to add! I just put my work out in the calender, I want to know how someone has done 41 workouts in 24 hours?! I don't think I could do that in a month! Ok, I got it out and now I am done...
 
Mary-never understood how someone could do so many workouts in less then 24 hours. I am not moving DD back because 1. I have to work and 2. I am not happy she had to move out in the first place just because she looked at his FB page I swear that site is evil.

Wow AB is and awesome workout I did the premix intervals 1-10 and it was a toughie had to stop a couple of times and its going to take a while to learn how to use the discs and do the squat press. I couldn't do abs after core felt pretty worked.

Murphy, I find those burpees extremely difficult and I get out of breath easy with those moves.

Mary, I feel like I'm spiraling out of control, mind and all.

Ronne, yea for work! I'm having a bit too much of it lately myself. I really would like to be a kept woman!

Roxie, AB is tough! For some reason so far AS is my least fav besides the yogas and TB. Don't know why, I just didn't click with it this morning.

Murphy, for some reason the beginning of AS hit me harder than CSS (cardio super sets). Probably because being the fool I was I tried with the # of risers Cathe had. No matter what I need to do one less riser than her in these.

Did I get everyone? Did I mention I'm spiraling out of control? Oh yea, I did I had a momentary memory loss. Please someone help me!

Lisa - hang in there girl! At least you've got your new DVDs to entertain you. Which one's AS? I'm not up with the acronyms yet!

Mary - DD was at gymnastics that night - she was not happy! She went out in her tracksuit with some friends for 15 mins when she got back!!
I know what you mean about the calendar. I think what happens is if you copy stuff across that you've done it comes already ticked, if you see what I mean. So you could just copy month after month and it's already done!

Did the express premix from CCC today. That's enough! Was a sweaty wreck at the end!

We didn't walk this morning due to lightening its suppose to rain and snow here today. Tonite is Cardio Supersets.

I did slide-n-glide, those moves seem harder than the original moves. I feel like I didn't give it my all, I think the stress is just giving me no energy. We got 8" of snow, so a work from home day and I have way too much work, so why am I writing on the 40's forum, because I don't wanna work!

Hi girls! Late day, did premix 5 from LIS the step workout, simple steps, but I was sweating! Lisa, sorry about all the snow. And work. We are having a bit of an Indian summer. Roxie, hope you don't get the snow. Ronne, I avoid CCC! It's hard! Well, at least DD got some candy! I am still eyeing up their bags, haven't stolen any....yet! Lisa, I think the Burpees with the discs are harder than the original! I have trouble with my hips doing those, hope I don't damage anything! Hi to you Murphy and Jody. I have discovered I am not very coordinated its going to take a while to get the discs figured out. Tonite I did Cardio Super Sets.

Mary-no snow yet just really drizzely.
 
I did the low impact challenge today. If I liked step I would like this one but I don't so... I did like the bonus workout, that was okay. I think the burpees with the discs is easier, it gives me some momentum. I feel like I got my but kicked again, but that is a good thing. :)

Oh, speaking of how someone can do 41 workouts in 24 hours, someone I know does 2-3 different programs/dvd's per day. It is crazy!

Okay, did the tri-sets lower body challenge this morning. It was bearable. It also went fast. The music went out in a few parts, has this happened to anyone else? Lisa, is this the dvd you were having trouble with?

It was turbo bar I had problems with. I haven't done LB trisets. I slept in AGAIN (gosh I must be tired because I also snoozed on the couch last night and still slept 9 hrs last night). I probably will not be able to workout, trying to decide if I can use snow as an excuse to work from home again. I'm sure the roads are clear, but it's 17 out there! brrrrrr I'm not ready for winter this year!

I'm sore! My UB is still sore from PUB two days ago and I just did the Timesaver 2 premix on GSL (49 mins) and now my bottom half aches!! Really feeling the workouts this week. I'm thinking I might do some yoga tomorrow to give myself a rest!

Lisa - poor you! We're still pretty mild here. We've put the heating on but not for very long. The clocks have gone back tho' so it's dark at 5pm :(.

Murphy - burpees on discs? Oh good, I can't wait!

Mary - I get hip pops on my right side when doing those circle things in kickboxing. I have to not raise my right leg as high as it makes a kind of crunching noise in my hip! Be careful!

Roxie - I can imagine I'm going to be all over the place with those discs!

Busy with work (not complaining!!) so better get back to it!
 
Morning! Did the TM this am, 4.3 miles. Legs are tired from the step yesterday. Ronne, how long Willie be before you get your DVDs? I hope not too much longer, I want you to try out those discs! You will be sliding all across Europe! Lisa, 17!? That is crazy cold so soon! You are probably sleeping so much just to stay warm. Roxie, saw on the weather map you are getting some ugly weather. I'm happy to report I did workout! I figured, so what if I'm late to work! So did STS Legs meso2, felt good! Then it looked like everyone else was working from home so I am! And dang but my hair turned out good today! :)

Ronne, I know I'm a complainer about work. I just see no reason to go in if no one else from my team is there (although everyone is supposed to work in the office). I don't get those that break the rules, so I can't beat them so I'm joining them. If they aren't scared for their job why should I be....they have more reason to be scared as they are employees and they like to lay off employees and tend to keep the contractors when they cut. Then don't get me started on how crazy it is that they laid me off in 2007 and kept the people they did! It was just wrong place, wrong time. Big corporation stinks. We fall back in time this Saturday, it is late this year!
Oh, as far as the discs, I'm finding that the covers don't really help on the pads, so I use the carpeted area and use them with no covers, they really do slide better than the frisbees I was using.

Mary, I've gotten out of the habit of walking extra and gained a pound back. There just aren't enough hours in the day! Have you stayed out of the candy?
