40's- Resolutions

Hi everyone

Got the house to myself for a short while. DH has gone into town with DD. Great to see everyone!

Jodie - congrats to DD on passing. That is quite scary tho'! We're big LOTR fans here. DD and DH went to see The Hobbit but I didn't bother. Did you see it?

Mary - great that the kids liked the blankets. DD was very pleased with her sewing machine, we now have enough phone covers (made out of old bedding!) to open a shop! So, you're enjoying Xtrain so far? Hoping it will get to me next week and then I can start when we're all back to work/school.

Roxie - I'm not surprised you haven't leapt on Xtrain yet with all the other stuff you've got going on. Have you finished work now? Did they pelt you with things when you left?!!

Murphy - you sound like another happy Xtrain bunny.

Lisa - love 'colour me stupid' - I might have to use that one! Yes, I did go for it in the end, ordered just before the end of the presale. I've watched a couple of clips and I'm looking forward to it. Might have to go easy on the weights to begin with tho'.

Did Premix 1 from LISLICh today. Everything but the bonus. Just enough for me. Back is gradually getting better and I had no after effects from yesterday's exercise. I've really lost some conditioning over the past couple of months, I think Xtrain will knock me sideways when I get it! Aging is crap, isn't it?!! But better than the alternative :D!

I did Athletic Step and GS chest only, was pretty fun. I put CSS in but it was repelling me, not pulling me. The music in that series reminds me of ring tones from my old Nokia flip phone. IDK, but I moved on and found something I liked this morning so all's well that ends well.

Ronne, we haven't seen Hobbit since a friend gave it mixed review. We wanted to see Guardians, too. I've also lost a lot of oomph- due to lack of w/o over Oct/Nov. It's showing up in cardio and wts.

Lisa, keeping books organized like trying to keep photos organised. One of the Twilight Zones had librarian being executed b/c he had become obsolete. I didn't watch it but how prophetic.

Roxie, are you feeling better from sore throat? Murphy, I watched clips for the first time yesterday, agree, the set is nice, outfits cute, music seems good. I think I'd like AO. Mary, whatcha up to? Kids enjoying time off? Hugs and waves to all~

Good Morning,

After I get off work at 2 I will do CLX Lean Circuit 3 and a TF because I packed all my workouts except XTrain, LIS series and CLX Lean Phase.

Ronne-I am working 3 days a week from 9-2 so I have time to find a house, job and pack. I told DH I wanted to be moved and settled by the end of February and have my house on the market by then.

Hi girls! Today did All Out Low Impact HIIT, short, sweet and I was sweating! I think I will use that one quite a bit. Ronne, how is your hand feeling? Still give you any trouble? Roxie, are you doing the part time thing? Has DH decided when to move? Lisa, I wished I liked barre! It does bother my hip and my mind gets distracted! When do you go back to work? Murphy, what other ones have you tried? Jody, I have never seen LOTR movies, just no interest. The Guardians, I wanted to see that, ran out of time! Well, have to get to Costco, have some work stuff to get ready for new semester and DH is having boys over for fantasy post season football draft! Hope everyone has a good day! Mary

Back to work today (although working from home). It's still hectic being at home, try to get w/o in, get cleaned up while trying to do some work in between. Could be worse, I could be in the office and getting no w/o. Oh, I did Xtrain BS Bi/Tri, was seeing stars on the biceps part. I got up late, was up at 2am, I think I slept on my neck wrong, nice, not!

Ronne, pillows are pretty popular to make too. DS did well sewing up his girlfriends blanket. Are you able to help DD with projects and such?

Jody, the music in Xtrain is nice, when does your schedule get crazy again?

Roxie, sounds like life will be keeping you busy. You are so good at sticking to working out though.

Mary, I don't LIKE Barre, I just didn't mind this one as much as others. I do have some sore muscles from Legs yesterday(upper/outer glute, inner groin, quads). I know the standing portion was MURDER, but different! DH said his Tris hurt and he wasn't going to do that Xtrain w/o anymore. Told him that's what it's supposed to do! Oh and an example about how my sister is: When she was diagnosed with diabetes a couple yrs ago, she said to dr "does that mean I can't eat chocolate anymore?", dr says "you can have chocolate on fridays", so what does she do? she eats a whole 32 oz bag of M&Ms on fridays. When I told her that's not what the dr meant, that instead she should only have a few, she said "the dr didn't say how much and I'm not asking how much". She's like a recalcitrant toddler!

Mary-yes on the parttime thing and I told DH I wanted to be settled by the end of February I am tired of waiting on him so I am forcing the issue.

Lisa-thank you I try to be a good girl but sometimes its tough.

Jody-the sore throat is back today.

I did one of the cardio leg blast premixes (disc 6). It was good. It had a core workout and it was killer. I don't know if I was sure from the 1/2-as$ attempt at a core workout I did yesterday or what. I will be doing these more often. This disc I felt flew by too. I am really liking this set - although I have only done two discs! I did not really notice the music...huh...

Anyway, regarding the barre - I am mixed. I can take it or leave it. Regarding LOTR, I liked it, but really could go either way on the Hobbit. We have not scene it and I don't know the story so right now, I really don't care about it.

I'm loving Xtrain so much I wanted to do more tonight, so I started CH/Ba/Sh, did rounds 1-4 which is really a premix on there and decided that my heart really wasn't in it so called it a night. I think every muscle on my body feels "worked" from what all I've done. So I saved the other rounds for another quick workout one day this week.

Store mgr didn't change DIL employment status, said she would have fired her too. hmmmmmm, I think they just want to get rid of people and found any reason. It's probably best anyway because staying wouldn't have been the same. I think my DS is pretty stressed over making ends meet, a good learning lesson and maybe in the long run she'll find something that is closer to where DS works since they are planning to move closer to his work in May. Everything happens for a reason, right? Right now she is still trying to stay with the MAC brand. I just don't get it, she said she had rocking sales, better than most.....

Murphy, I still have disc 6 to do, that and disc 10 (spinning) I seem to have saved for last....there must be a reason for that... The workouts do seem to fly by, sometimes I wonder if it's because they are new, but I don't think that's it, I never had this feeling from TTM or CF.

Roxie, I'm good at working out, I'm just not good at what all I put in my mouth. What I used to eat isn't working anymore, I guess I have to eat even cleaner, it's tough I still want my goodies

Did the HardStrike premix w/o the conditioning, but w/ the abs. I also added on the heavy bag bonus. It was good and the time did move. I noticed the music more in this one, but only in certain "down-time" parts. I agree with Lisa, TTM and CF did not fly by for me either! I like that this series includes the bonuses with some of the premixes - adding it before the stretch. I like how it is more fluid.

Lisa - sorry to hear about DIL. I hope things work out for her.

Hi all

Liking the positive vibes on Xtrain from everyone. Makes me really look forward to it. Is anyone following/going to follow the rotations?

Roxie - good news on job and move. Sounds like you've got things well organised.

Lisa - you're really enjoying your workouts aren't you? I still think it stinks about DIL, hope she gets something. Ha, ha, ha on the helping my DD! I don't know one end of a sewing machine from another. She's completely on her own, I told her. She's already doing things that I wouldn't have a clue how to do!!

Mary - I watched the clip for Hiit the other day, it looks good. Only thing I'm not so keen on are those shorts they all wear in a lot of them, with the stripes on. I don't normally notice the outfits but I think they're quite ugly.

Murphy - when are you back at work?

Jody - well, we can only improve in 2013, I guess!

Brother and his family arrive today, then mum and dad for the big 70th surprise tomorrow so I won't be around for a few days. Got a bathroom to clean, beds to change etc. Clean and entertain max are the only workouts on my schedule till Monday now. Then I will be back on the straight and narrow for definite!

Woke up with major DOMS in my bis! I told you I saw stars when doing X-BS bi/tri....I had to keep up with Cathe though I wanted to drop to what Jai was using. Wowsers! Anyway did X-AO LI (I don't know what all the abbreviations are so I'm making up my own). The only thing I didn't like was the mountain climbers! those always make it in like the push ups do! I notice the music more in this one, one rappy type song I didn't like much, I think the lyric was "you got the power" or something like that. I'm sure it must be a popular song but I don't think I"ve heard it. Loved "i've got a feeling". Overall when I do notice the music it's really good music in this series.

Ronne, Shorts in the series, I'd say they aren't the most flattering (breaks up the longness of the leg) so I think they can make you look heavier (is it just me?), maybe that's why Cedie doesn't wear them? I noticed her looking a little chunky in places so not the most flattering clothes (I'm not being derogatory, about saying chunky, made me feel that a normal person can do this w/o). The other body thing I noticed (again not being derogatory) is Amanda on one of the stretch segments, stretching the chest with arms behind, wow, she's got some bigger (ok bigger than me) breasts and PERKY!(ah, to be 20-something again and not had kids to stretch places out :) )

It was also weird about DIL, she asked when her final pay would come, they turned around and paid her in cash.

Good Morning,

Today for me is day 2 of Couch to 5K and some abs.

Lisa-I don't eat a whole lot which is a big problem that I am working on and when I do eat its not always the best thing. I hope DIL finds something soon.

Ronne-I am starting the 90 day rotation on Monday. It only sounds like I am organized. Have a nice time with your family.

Been meaning to ask, those of you doing Xtrain, are you using tubing or just a band? I only have a band, wondered if tubing makes that much of a difference.

Hi all! Today Cardio legs, i liked it! I was kind of afraid of it, moved quickly. Lisa, I think Amanda recently had a baby and that is probably why she looks well endowd! I noticed Cedie also, maybe she is going through the change? I wish I could keep up with her! Also noticed Marlo in the back, she didn't seem to have as much energy as the others! Made me feel better, because that is how I felt! I have tubing, can't believe it would be any different than the band. Ronne, enjoy your family time! Roxie, how are you liking part time? Jody, when do you start back to school? I have to go to a different facility this semester, they are having us do online classes to orient. There are 10 classes, I have done 6, took me 4 hours! Kind of a pain for one day a week, I will do my other 2 days at another place, hope they don't have as much work! I have to go to an orientation class also, 5 hours and then orient to the floor. So much involved for 6 hours a day for 12 weeks! Murphy, what are you up to today? Well, I see have been very wordy! Guess I am procrastinating! Better get learning! Have a good day! Mary

Chest and MIC done.
Mary, maybe all that bureaucracy is why my program doesn't have clinical instructors. I read that RT one of the top 25 fields which was nice to hear. You know I have regrets about not taking OMT.
Lisa, that is weird about dil. I really better watch my mouth, I'm so flippant and irreverent. I've seen several MAC/cosmetic jobs listed locally, Nordstrom, etc. But that doesn't help her much. You don't want them moving to FL, right?
Ronne, by the time you get back, I'll be back in school and done with my run of workouts. Have fun.
Roxie, hopefully you are gonna find lots to like with new workouts which will be nice while you try to sandwich it all in.
Murphy and all, I thought the outfits were cute, I'll look again. Doesn't matter to me though. I'm doing oldies lately. I like the music.

Mary, I noticed that about Marlo too. Then today in AO I noticed Amanda going up on her toe but everyone else not (Cathe even mentioned to get more intense you could go up on your toe but not jump). I tried it....kudos to Amanda! And kudos to Cedie too, she's great inspiration. Shows you don't need a skinny body type to keep up. It's been fun seeing them then and now :) Sounds like every job has buearacracy? I know I spelled that wrong.

Jody, since DIL was fired from Nordstrom she can't work there :) We filled out her unemployment app today, how embarassing explaining that you were fired for using a foul word. She is very upbeat and I think she has a great support system. She thinks there may be a job east of here with Mac, only 24 hrs a week (but she was maybe working 30 anyway). I told her she has a lot of support even everyone here! Will you schedule be as crazy as last time when you go back to school?

Good Afternoon,

I did day 2 of CK25 forgot I was going to work core might have to do that after supper.

Mary-I like the parttime but I am not getting much packing done but its nice to get my workouts in earlier.

Phone post. Waiting for Survivor Australia to buffer.
I think the shorts are cute! Flattering to o but just from looking at pics.
Schedule includes to w 12 hr clinical days. ..two 830-230 days plus tutors times and I'm hoping to get weekend work. The 12 hr dayscut into my college tutor job thing.
Hugs to dil Lisa. I she appreciates your help and support.
Did 4 miles walk tonight
edited, sched prob didn't make sense- school is 12 hour shifts on m and w, class 830-230 on T and Th. Plus whatever tutoring sessions I can manage to schedule for chem students on the T and Thurs afts. I hope to be working F, S Su or at least some portions of that asap.

Just did bi's and tri's premix and part of core 2. My abs are sore and I just did not feel like pushing through. I started to try the bi's and tri's 100 rep challenge but my muscles were sore from the workout. Maybe another day.

Someone mentioned Amanda's breasts - she is probably still nursing. Regarding Marlo, I too noticed she was a little behind the others. She probably still has to get used to Cathe's pace. Oh, the outfits. I am mixed on the outfits. I thought the shorts really only looked cute on Jai - the top slanted line made her ab area look slimmer - as if that is possible on Jai. The others wear long tops that cover the accent. The look okay on Brenda, she seems to have leaner legs than some of the others. My tree trunk legs probably would not be so pretty in them. The tops are okay and I must say, feelfitwear does use nice materials.
