Just starting us off. A little bit of neck pain (top of shoulder -TOS). I did sleep soooooooo well. 10 hrs straight, this chronic pain has me exhausted. I plan on doing Ride tonight if I'm still feeling ok.

I found an awesome way to read in my new chair with my new kindle. and it really takes the pressure off the neck (sometimes sitting in a chair I feel the pressure just making it hurt more, that's when I normally go lay down). Never told you all, but we ended up not getting a chair for DH.

Roxie/Jody, I need to crack back down on eating too. I splurged on ice cream last week (sore throat) and then just for comfort because I felt so bad. Now that those awful drugs (flexeril and percocet) are out of my system, I'm not feeling near as nauseous or dizzy (still some dizziness, but nothing like it was).

Jody, sounds like you enjoyed your middle of the night call :)

Good Afternoon,

I will do some kind of stretch today my calf muscles are really tight. Its cold here again today. I did XT CLB premix 3 rounds 1-6 and the Total Body Stretching Stability Ball #2.

Lisa-glad you figured out a way to read without pain.

Hey, quiet here today... after a few stop and starts I did Step Blast x 30 min. Its Sunday so the only day I have that doesn't already include either Xtend or 15 hour school/work day so I feel guilty for only doing a bit of step- especially w/ the 60 day mark and photos on Tues. : (
At least I ate clean, lots o veggies. Overall I'm a little glum. ::shrug::
I hope everyone has a nice Mon, good eves~~

figured everyone was out enjoying springtime? It's windy here today. Reading in my 'zero gravity' chair with icepack on neck resulted in falling asleep for 2 hrs! That's after sleeping 10 hrs last night. Maybe it was all the sushi at Sushi sunday :) Not feeling like doing Ride tonight afterall. Will see what tomorrow morning looks/feels like.

Jody, maybe you needed the downtime? Sorry you got the glums, maybe I'm rubbing off on you all?

Good morning! No workout yesterday, went out with friends instead. We had a nice afternoon, some corned beef and beer. Guess I will have to make up for it today! Lisa, how are you feeling? Jody, it's the middle if the school semester, that usually brings on the "when will this be done?" feeling! Do you have to go to summer classes? Roxie, where are you going to look for part time? Ronne, how was your weekend? Hi Murphy! Well, going to read the newspaper and figure out my workout! Hope everyone has a good Monday! Mary

Hi all

Mary - rest days are a good thing! You don't have to make up for it. You sound very relaxed, Mary!

Lisa - er, no. We were staring at the completely unexpected snow actually! Good sleeping!

Jody - no guilt about workouts allowed around here. :D Only pride allowed!!

Roxie - that sounds like a nice combination.

We had a really nice dinner on Sat with friends, (spiced halloumi salad, salmon with green veg and chocolate pudding). Once again I feel like I've eaten loads this weekend. I could do with a weekend without a good meal!! Did BS CBS today. I'm counting down the rotation. I only do that one once more now!

Good Morning,

I walked on the TM this morning and then went job hunting with no luck. I will do XT CB&S and some abs later. I have 2 weeks of this rotation left and then time to do something else. The sun is shining here today but its still cold.

Ronne-I am not eating so well right now just really don't give a crap.

after all that sleeping yesterday, I slept another 9 hrs last night. Woke up feeling pretty good...almost normal! Bit of pain at BOS. Thru the morning it increased a bit, but About noon, I really just wanted a pick me up, so I did Ride. I feel really good right now, but I'm pretty sure I will pay with neck pain later. No matter what I do I have pain afterward, even just sitting. No word on MRI approval yet.

Roxie, I know that down feeling very well. Best thing is to make yourself do some cardio, the endorphins really help.

Ronne, sorry about the weather, it's been so nice here. I hate the allergies though.

Mary, what w/o did you decide to do? A break is always nice, don't feel guilty. On the otherhand, I feel my muscles are wasting away, had sore quads from my 3.5 mile WALK, really? I assume you have hip pain from some workouts? How do you deal with it? Did doc say there was no restrictions on your w/o's? Just curious, I've never been in a predicament like I am, normally it's always resolved on it's own in a couple of weeks. I was scared of doing more damage, but doc says no restrictions unless it hurts (I would classify lifting weights as hurting because I feel the hurt while doing it, vs, cardio I only feel pain 12-24 hrs later (and doc said its nerve pain). Just wonder what you do.

Lisa, so glad you got approved and got an appointment! So early tho! Ouch! Have you ever had an MRI? Not my favorite! We are in two different boats, yours is neck pain, that kind of takes over your whole being. Being my hip, I can kind of change position and it will change how it is, if that makes sense. I do whatever workouts I want. I have had to really give up step workouts. The worst for me is going up stairs, I have a lot of trouble with that. I dread when I forget something upstairs! Haha! My first surgeon told me to do whatever I want, still have 2 more months to wait to see this other guy. After you get your tests, you will have some answers on what is wrong and how to fix it. I think you might be feeling better because you are doing something about it. I'm sorry you have suffered for so long. I know how miserable it is, for me some days it's more, others less. I'm kind of use to it. I'm kind of rambling! Have a good night! Mary

Mary, never have had an MRI. I always thought I was pretty healthy  I'll probably just roll out of bed,put my hair in a ponytail (hair style I've been wearing lately) and go. It's been hard with neck pain, thought maybe if it was somewhere else i'd be able to deal with it so much better. You words help. I would say your step is like my UB work. Once i get thru this I'll just have to be happy with not going for heavy as I can but instead going for enough to get definition. Am I weird to think I need to get the pain level up for the MRI? So that whatever is wrong shows up for sure? My hair friend, who's had a cervical fusion, says MRI's aren't the best because they are done laying down and the spine is stretched out so may not show how bad it is as when you are sitting up. I'm trying to keep the meds ahead of the pain. Not that I'm taking that much, my minimum is 2 advil, 2 tylenol and 1 valium a day. It's easier to stay ahead of the pain then lay off meds and get hit hard, it's so much harder to get the pain back under control.

Jody, DH & kids play that on endless rewind! Have you seen the one with Taylor Swift? Trouble? Now when I hear that song I can't get the goat out of my head!

Good Morning,

Another day of job looking I am headed to the job force center to see if they can help. I had to send in a letter to unemployment explaining why I had to quit they seem to think there has to be and incident. I will do CB&S plus Hardstrikes cardio only.

Lisa-glad to hear your MRI was approved.

Funny Jody, I think it relates. 2nd goat is me when pain is a 10, and 3rd goat is me when it mid level going on and on and tired of it all.....yea, I think I sounded like that in the middle of the night.

Lisa, that is so sad that you can relate so well screaming goats!--LOL. I don't know how or if flare up in pain would correlate with picture on MRI. I'm guessing there are cases where one feels symptom free but looks bad in pictures and so also opposite.
Mary, yes, I just saw the Taylor Swift one, too funny. She looks different w/ the dark shaggy hair, too.
Roxie, have you looked at a website called snagajob? It looks like a lot of employers use it. I get daily emails from them with employers like home depot, tjmaxx, etc, that are hiring, maybe would be worth checking in your area?
Murphy are you getting snow and stuff? Ronne, you also have snowy march?
I did AB express pm plus some abs this morning. (out of school today). Pics later on for xtend- wondering if I will be around after this.

Hello

Lisa - good news that you've been approved. I think I once had an MRI for my leg. I didn't like it at all! Got a bit claustrophobic.

Roxie - good luck with job hunting. Hope something turns up soon.

Jody - so are you worried you're going to be thrown off the program?

Mary - your hip sounds really painful. Have you thought of moving to a bungalow?! (Only kidding!)

Did Legs all sections premix today. Felt like I hadn't done that for a while so my legs felt well worked by the end.
The snow has cleared but it's still cold. So sick of this weather, just dragging on.

Hi everyone! I'm back! Today did KP&C, except no crunch! I wasn't in the mood. Lisa, you might want to take one of your Valium before the MRI. It's loud, you have to lay STILL, and they close the door. It will just take you to a better place! Let your mind wander and go to your happy place! I have had 3 on my hip, if I ever have to have another one, I'm asking for something. Jody, I bet you will be one of the success stories on the infomercial! I'm so excited for you! Roxie, good luck with job search. What about Home Depot or Lowes? I hear they pay well and you could get a discount? Ronne, thanks for your kind words. It's ok, I will know more by summer. Today will be Target, running the kids around, etc. have a good day! Mary

Didn't sleep well, went thru 2 ice packs. Was up early so decided to walk on TM, CC4, 3 miles.

Mary, thanks for the suggestion of taking valium, good idea. the closest I've come to being in closed in situations was a submarine underwater, started to hyperventilate but calmed myself down.

Ronne, doesn't London have dreary weather in general?

Roxie, not sure if you could set up a search agent on glassdoor.com This new age of submitting thru computer seems it goes into a big black hole! I've also looked at craigslist.com (but be careful of those, watch for scams)

Jody, it's the times it quits hurting that I think I'm cured and that maybe I'm losing my mind dreaming that it hurt so much before. Especially given that this has corrected itself in the past. I'm going to try to stay as active as I can without causing too much pain because otherwise I get depressed over it all. Surely they won't kick you out!
