40's - love is in the air

Hi! Quick hello! Did BS CB and S. lisa, hope you are feeling better and had a great day! Roxie, how were the houses? Jody, 5 lbs! Congrats! Ronne, are you hiding in a museum? Hi Murphy, have a good nite, Mary

Good Evening,

After hours of looking and talking to realtors there is just nothing out there right now. We looked at one house that was nice but it was on the wrong side of town and it rented for 800.00 a month which is almost as much as my mortgage. We ended up renting a house in another town that isn't as nice but they only wanted 600 so we can stay there until we get financing together to look at another house and find one we like. It was a really disappointind day I ate horrible and didnt' get a workout in.

roxie, it's better to rent than buy something you aren't sure about. There's a light at the end of the tunnel.

I ate bad yesterday too and no w/o. My neck didn't "hurt"---still weakness, middle of back soreness, so I didn't want to chance angering something and not having a good time at lunch (and yes I ate bad, had a martini and champagne). Went for adjustment. This morning, neck pain. I've sworn off any UB until this is totally resolved and I've been limiting computer as much as I can, no sewing. I'm going to do YR to see if that helps at all...oh and neck pump. I have someone singing the praises of surgery, I'm tired of this and want to get back to normal. Not sure if I'm on the right path or noth. so frustrating

Yr done, I do feel better though I look like a fool in some of the positions. Any recommendations. Other yoga dvds?

Hi all

No, not hiding in a museum, Mary!! It's half term so a bit irregular on the computer and work etc with being at home with DD full time.

Museum was good: Home - Geffrye UK Beautiful building. I'm going back to that bit of London again. The main street was full of Vietnamese restaurants!

Got CBS Burn Sets done yesterday and HS cardio only today. It's funny how things change from week to week. Last week HS felt pretty easy and this week was a bit more of a struggle!

Roxie - Lisa's right - at least you're not committing to buying somewhere you don't like. Pretty miserable stuff to be going through tho'.

Lisa - hang in there - I'm sure you're on the right track with your treatment. If you want to try some more basic yoga, you could have a look at yoga today (Yoga Today - Practice For Life). Their free weekly class may not be suitable but you could always buy a couple of basic classes. I've got one that's essentially just lying on cushions in different positions for relaxation which sounds right up your street! It's called Restorative Yoga - you might be able to search for it.

Jody - don't give yourself a hard time! It's not all about the weight, it's the way you look and feel that's more important!

Mary - are your kids not on school holidays yet?

Good Morning,

I am hoping to get BS Bis and Tris done and Tabata 2. I finally got a decent nights sleeps so I didn't want to get up this morning to cozy. I can't believe we are close to moving hoping to do that next weekend and then starts the changing address finding a cable and internet company and the rest of the fun stuff.

Lisa-I wouldn't jump to surgery right away, I know when I have spent alot of time at my computer at work between my shoulder blades really hurts and DH says I get a knot. Is there anyway at work you could raise it up a little?

Ronne-thanks to you girls I will survive this. HS is the same way for me the first time I did it I thought it was easy but the last couple have been hard all those jumping jacks are not my favorite.

Hi everyone! Happy Valentine's Day! I'm going to do XT legs. Lisa, I'm sorry you are so miserable. Give yourself some time before surgery, that's a big step. You haven't been with the chiropractor too long yet. I understand how you are feeling, it's very frustrating to be in pain all the time. Be good to yourself. Roxie, renting will be good. It will give you time to get to know the area and where exactly you want to settle down. I can't believe you are moving all ready! Ronne, so glad they let you out of the museum! How nice to have a break now, mine won't have a break til the end of March. Jody, is the worst of your school week over now? Hi Murphy! Have to get my workout in, clean, and I have basketball practice. I better get off the couch! Mary

Not a great day again. I guess the day after adjustment I can count on not feeling well. Now I have some numbness in my right hand started while talking on the phone to my sister in Florida and of course computer work. Lay down on heating pad try to relax the stress away. I've decided to swear off any activity that can make this happen. That means no workouts no yoga nothing! I do you have me a nice bottle of wine lined up. I'll probably turn into a fat alcoholic, but maybe I'll be pain free fat alcoholic

Roxie, I hope you guys find something that suits you. Did you decide? Have you looked at Craigs list? I've seen a lot of home rentals there in my area. Moving costs money no matter what so hopefully you can minimize the damage. You are right, deposits and time to make changes can be butt kickers but you seem so organized and efficient I hope it goes well.

Ronne, that museum looks fun. Is that a Brit way to spell Jeffrey?

Lisa, maybe give yourself a time frame for this to work- a month or even 3 doesn't seem unreasonable to me anyway but I'm not the one having chronic pain. Do pain killers help? Can you walk your stress off?

Mary did you make it off the couch? I am sure you did. Yes, Fri and Sat are just tutoring and Xtend. Huzzah!

Tomorrow is measure day, feeling pretty good but don't think I've lost major, just improved a little bit. I'm pretty proud of how i do in classes. I can go pretty deep in my plie, keep with the timing and plank and push up work is very doable. I'm not feeling as grumpy about my supporting leg taking the hit either.

Oh and 6 month follow up Pap to previous Pap and biopsies. came back "perfectly normal." I was really happy to hear that message today.

Headed to the Barre at 7, maybe it will be a double workout day.?

oh ps, dd 17 got job at Panera! I hit Sears to purchase an extra pair of work pants for her and ended up with 4 pr of yoga pants for 11 dollars each. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_...&cName=Intimates&sName=Sleepwear & Robesmv=rr
Which reminds me that I didn't tell you that I won a $25 dollar gift card to Lululemon or did I tell you? I can't remember. Since pants there cost 98 dollars I will wait till I reach my goal before I consider using it!
pss I won the lululemon from my program in a raffle for doing extra workouts beyond our regular weekly studio w/o.

Jody, so glad about your tests! Huge relief! I have looked at lulumon's web site, out of my range! I dream tho! Lisa, sending you good thoughts, I recently made an appointment for my hip, I have to wait til the end of may to see the guy!? I hope you get a good nights sleep. Hello to all!

Today were CF premixes. I took it easy, low impact and firewalker tabatas plus bonus core. It felt good. My calves are real tight from yesterday and it helped to stretch them out a bit.

Jody - congrats on the program and the Lululemon. I too dream about buying from there. I am jealous.

Lisa - sorry to hear about the neck. I hope things improve soon.

Roxie - good luck with the house search. I agree that the rental will work well for now.

Mary/Ronne - big waves to you.

Murphy

Hi all

Murphy - glad to see you're back in the land of workouts!

Mary - You really like that Legs one don't you? Did you just do it straight through? Wow - end of March is a long time to wait.

Lisa - poor you! Hope you're going to have a nice weekend and let DH look after you.

Jody - No, it's not. It's just the name of the guy who founded the building. Well done to DD and her job. And good luck on the measure up tomorrow. Hope it's the news you want.

Roxie - at least you'll soon be on the move. What's the workout space like in the place you're renting?

Did Super Cuts for the first time today. It's a toughie! Was supposed to do it with Core 2 but decided to skip it. Think it might become a favourite. Some different stuff in there I liked. That sit-up/push-up thing at the end was tough - managed 7 sets, three on my toes.

Went out last night to see a band with DH and DD: Stornoway. They were fab - at the end of the gig, they came up to the balcony where we were sat and played one song acoustically right in front of us. It was magical!

Got the parents here this weekend so won't be working out. I've done 5 straight weeks of the rotation so it's not too bad. Not sure what will happen next week. I've been called for jury service from Monday!

Good Afternoon,

I am ashamed to check in I haven't worked out since Monday and the way my jeans fit last night I can tell. We are going down to night to sign the lease on the place we are renting and she wants us to put the utilities in our names today was not expecting that I don't plan on moving in until next weekend. The boss lady has been a bitch to me since yesterday.

Ronne-I have a room to myself but its going to be a little crowded I don't think I can do the walking lunges.

Lisa-I hope you get to feeling better.

Jody-craigslist is where we found this house we are going to rent. I bought a bunch of plugins to help with the smell.

Still alive! Just got back from adjustment he got a lot in my shoulder blades area, rhomboids. Said I was tighter than most but it is starting to loosen up. Next week he is going to do vacuuming. Never had that done before, but it was supposed to help break up all the stiffness. Got me a pillow chiropractic type to sleep on. I'm going to try yoga again tonight or tomorrow

Roxy don't worry you and I will get back into shape after all this time are messes are over

hi to everyone else sorry for lock a personals I'm trying not to type too much on the computer and am dictating in the phone.

Jodi yay for clear pap. Yay for bargains.

Mary is your hip starting to bother you more or is this for regular check up on it?

Good Morning,

I couldn't get on the forums yesterday afternoon or last night looks like a server crash again. I took my laptop and workouts to work yesterday and when the bosses left which wasn't soon enough I got Tabata 2 + Core 1 done, today I will do Supercut Premix 1 + Core 1 and HS Conditioning later. We need to buy blinds and stuff to put in the cabinets in the rental house I don't want my dishes sitting on the shelves. I went and bought plugins from Bath and Body Works and stuck some in the wall while we were there.

Lisa-I hope you feel a little better today.

Jody-glad to hear your pap was ok I get mine at the end of the month.

I do feel a bit better today, hopefully it doesn't get worse, getting off computer so short post. Pillow was ok, will take a bit of getting used to, better than other chiropractic pillows I've seen. I got a massager at Brookstone (going to get a 2nd today)i-need Pro Neck & Shoulder Massager with Heat at Brookstone

and DH and I bought each other zero gravity chairs at brookstone
Perfect Chair - Bonded Leather at Brookstone
as anniversary gift (our 27th is in a week, chairs will be here in probably 2 weeks).

Roxie, how funny you can workout at work :)

Splurged last night on dinner out and 3 glasses of wine (I only ordered 2, they gave me 1 free, couldn't waste it :)

Hi girls! Couldn't get on the site yesterday, must have been down? Anyway, did BS B&T, the the floor cardio from AOLH. Lisa, I hope you get some relief soon. I'm sure it is draining physically and emotionally. My hip is really no better, I'm going in to see about a replacement. :(. They have a kind of replacement that you can still run and jump with. I'm tired of limping and being in pain. This guy I'm waiting for is the only one in town who does this procedure, that's why the long wait. Ronne, have fun with your folks! Do you like Mumford and Sons? We just love them! Roxie, I think moving and packing is a workout in and of itself! Working out at work, funny! Murphy, glad to see you! Jody, did you get lots of Valentines? DH took me out to dinner last night, an Asian fusion place, fabulous! Dinner tonite with inlaws, FIL's bday. Have to go figure out today's workout! Hope everyone has a good day! Mary

Hey, according to OD, they switched servers and everything, including wm and forums, is going faster now. I see a difference, too.

Ronne, sounds like a wonderful evening. Serendipitous where you were sitting for serenade or do you know the band?Good job keeping up with the rotation. It seems like the xt is not as likely to cause burn out injury?

Mary, ok, which is tougher, to need hip replaced or have to wait in line for such replacement? (insult to injury). I agree, I'd hold out for the jumpy runny workouty hip, too. I didn't get lots of valentines, but last weekend I did actually sleep over w/ my semi sometimes sorta bf after going out to dinner at Bonefish with friends despite our earlier text spat so that counts as a romantic encounter for Feb. heart

Wow, Lisa, that chair looks nice. Lol, it is more expensive than than any given room of furniture in my house. Speaking of furniture, I'm cat sitting (dumb ass me for agreeing to such nonsense). Friend's cat is sharpening her claws on leather couch.

Roxie will new home be close to dh work? how far to dtr and gs?

Murphy, you almost inspired me to do some tabata pm before I left the house today for work then weigh in and workout at xtend. I needed a "last chance workout" ala biggest loser!

I only did my xtend which was easy in some ways and hard in others. Weigh in has me below 130 agaiin so close to 6 pounds down. I could stay skinny more easily if I didn't have work and school!

Good Evening,

I spent the day packing then went to Walmart to buy blinds for the new place and I bought the last ones they didn't have much. I did part of Supercuts because I did my usual and didn't eat very much today or drink alot so I got dizzy and shakey so I stopped only did 23 mins of it.

Lisa-hope the new chairs help.

Jody-I am going to be 1 hour and 15 mins away from the GS but I will try and see him once a week. We are only going to be 7 mins from DHs job and hopefully my job once I find one.
