Happy Easter everyone! No chocolate bunnies for me, really trying to be good on my eating but haven't lost a pound. Saturday I did LM, all combos except skipped 3 and 4, that made the w/o 55 mins, pretty good. Sunday I did Intensity premix double hiit and bootcamp--I liked that one--I don't think I'll ever be able to tackle the whole w/o at once again. No big Easter plans here, doing my normal Sunday RELAXING.

Good morning! I haven"t decided what I will do yet today, it will come to me! Sat., I did S&L from Jari. I also had to mow the lawn! Neighbors on both sides did theirs, I had no choice in the matter. It has rained so much it has all ready grown. Also, Sat. night the kids wanted to go to Easter Vigil Mass. It started at 9:30, we got home at 12:30! I don't think I will do that again, beautiful, but VERY long! Yesterday was brunch with DH's family and dinner with mine. Lisa, sounds like you had a good Sunday! Hello to everyone else! I really need to get off my big fat butt! Mary

Today I skipped working out. Got up a bit late and just didn't feel like rushing around to get it in AND get to work. Lazy, I know :)

Mary, grasses are just starting to green up here, my front (south facing) is in desparate need of some help, got some fertilizer on it because we are supposed to get rain. Well, we had flurries on Saturday morning, then sunny by noon, and then barely a rain shower Sunday night...it was the slow drizzle so hopefully the grass will look better. The downside? You have to mow it!

DS19 still has yet to get his schedule arranged. But on the flip side, with everyone he's had to talk to, they want him to tutor 3 classes next year (with pay). With his grades, I think he will be a professor's dream to work on some project as an internship someday.

DS22 is finally getting things settled with fiance. Poor kids, gets input from each set of parents and of course we have different priorities. I'm more willing to give in because they have to make their own decisions and mistakes, the fiance Mom is more controlling. So, I got my preference of them renting an appartment (fiance Mom wanted them to rent from them and stay in their house so they could use that money to help pay the bills----the parent's bills! My son is NOT paying them rent to finance their bad decisions!), and I lost out on them reducing wedding costs. So they will blow the $20,000 because it's money fiance has saved from her insurance settlement---forget the fact that could pay for a nice downpaymnet on a house someday! I even offered to GIVE them $5000 to have a wedding that costs under $7000 since her sisters had weddings of $3000-$4000, but they didn't take me up on it. Oh well.....at least I think it's all settled and talked about. Hopefully no hurt feelings, OMG if these kids can survive this....well, this is great practice for real life.

Lisa, if it is any consolation, I totally agree with you regarding your son and his fiancé! I ended up doing AOS Providence! Mary

Hello ladies

I'm back from the school break and back at my desk again.

Lisa - it sounds like there've been some serious family discussions going on recently. Hope things are getting clearer now. I'm always gobsmacked by how much people spend on their wedding! The wedding industry is full of people who know that they can make a ton of money by sticking the word wedding in front of something!

Mary - so the weather must be getting better where you are if you're mowing?

Spring has definitely sprung here. Spent most of the weekend outdoors enjoying the sunshine. We had a nice few days in Spain visiting my brother and family as well. I saw one of the Easter parades (you know the ones where they wear hoods like the KKK?). Absolutely amazing and a bit scary when we nearly got crushed by the Virgin Mary!!
Getting back into the workouts. Did the new KCM Split Sessions UB yesterday and today I did Step Moves. It was so nice to do a cardio workout and not feel completely knackered by the end! I was actually smiling rather than grimacing for a change.
Got to work on getting my belly down - it's like a football! And with that lovely image I will get back to work!

Hi girls! Today did the TM, 4.6 miles, couldn't make myself do the last .4! Ronne, glad to see you back! We missed you! Spain sounds wonderful! How is Kelly's split sessions? How is the band work? I have been eyeing that one, but with Cathe's new one's coming out, that might have to wait! The weather here has been very ugly! We have only had 6 days since March 1st where is hasn't rained and Sat., was one of those days! Lisa, how are you? Did you get some sleep? Murphy, what are you doing? Have a good day! Mary

Second time at trying to post, last one wiped out when I hit some button ( my arms are shaking from my workout and I don't know what I hit), anyway....

Today's workout was HR UB premix and STS TB UB premix, OMG it was so hard, my arms are noodles, I also feel like I got a partial cardio workout as well.

Ronne, welcome back, sounds like you had a lovely time off, we missed you! Yes weekends have been very stressful with "discussions". See what you all have to look forward to?

Mary, It just seems like by the end of the work week I'm wiped out and sleep so much on the weekends (no matter how hard I try not to nap) that I'm so rested up that Monday and Tuesday I don't sleep as well. Very frustrating. That's a long way on the TM! Not too much step for you for a while, right? Because of your hip?

Off for what may be another boring day at work (too bad I can't be bored at home). It seems it's either boring or crazy busy, there is no happy medium.

OMG! I went jogging in 80 degrees, wearing black knit pants and a red top. What was I thinking? Please, someone slap me if I ever get that crazy again!

Other than that, I am okay, glad to hear everyone is okay and had a bearable Easter.

Ronne- glad you are back.
Lisa - I hope things work out for DS, both of them.
Mary - Howdy.

Murphy

Once I recovered, the run was good. Of course DH and the kids wanted to do more running on the track near the house but that too was okay. I will know more in the morning. Oh,DD age 6 told me, "Wow mom, the exercise is really working. You are not as big as you used to be." I wasn't sure what to do with the "compliment" but I had to smile. She was so supportive looking and proud of herself for noticing. Ah, out of the mouths of babes.

Did a conditioning work out this morning with a trainer. It went okay, it was the first day, an assessment of my skill level (or lack thereof). I am a bit sore from yesterday's run.

Murphy

Quick check in. I did Step Moves. Taking the day off (well mostly...of course something urgent came up for today even though I TOLD them Monday I would be out...seems to always happen that way, so now I feel pressured). Anyway, going with my sister to Denver Botanic Gardens, she had free tickets and I wanted a nice relaxing day off.

Murphy, take the compliment where you can! Once you get used to running you will get less sore, it's amazing what all muscles running works!

Hi everyone! Did HR today, like Murphy my legs are sore from running yesterday! So I had to go light on the weights for lower body. Murphy, are you joining a gym? What did the trainer make you do? Lis! Have fun with your sister! Ronne, are you going into London on Fri. for the wedding? I need to get in the shower, I am scaring myself. Mary

Hi everyone

Got stuck on caps lock and had to go back! I would have scared everyone!

Lisa - SM is good isn't it? I like the music in that one. Have a nice time with your sister.

Mary - No, I'm not going anywhere near London. It will be madness. I have absolutely no interest in it whatsoever. Someone described the royal family as benefit scroungers on the radio this morning and I totally agree!!

Murphy - so have you joined a gym or got yourself a personal trainer? Spill the beans!

I like the new Split Sessions. The UB was good - quite straightforward, done in a push/pull. I did the LB today which I found tougher than the UB. My legs felt wobbly after which is unusual for me. See if there are any DOMS tomorrow.

Bye for now!

Hello

Did Athletic Step today. Another good one. Got a bit of butt DOMS from the split sessions yesterday

We've got a day off tomorrow for the you know what so probably won't be around. Got my parents coming down this weekend, so having a couple of days out. Also got Monday off for a bank holiday so it's a 4 day weekend.

See you all on Tuesday!

Lucky Ronne getting a 4 day weekend!

I did HR LB premix and STS TB LB premix today. Had a nice day off yesterday going to the botanic gardens. Today I have funeral for DH's aunt.

DH went to urologist yesterday since the kidney stone hasn't passed in a month. They are giving him flomax to help the "pipes" open up to allow it to pass better. If it doesn't pass in 2 wks they will have to go get it out and it has to be done at the hospital. DH is so tired of it he wants to go ahead and schedule the procedure so they told him to call Monday to schedule it so it may still be a week and a half before they get it and if it passes then he can just cancel the procedure. They also gave him a strainer now, but never said they would analyze it so don't know why he as to strain :)

Today I did a Tracie Long dvd. My legs are still sore from the run the other day. Tomorrow I work out with the trainer. He also happens to be the DH of a friend, he is giving me a discount. I wanted him to help me train for my 5k but he wants me to run on my own and let him to the conditioning part. I said I would try it and see how it goes - it is only for a month. I asked DH to train me for the 5K (he is a track coach) but we never got around to it. When I mentioned the trainer, he got upset, stopped talking to me and was a little rude to the trainer - my friends DH. My DH is a little better now that he I put the running back on him, but OMG, if you trained me when I asked you to, I would not need the trainer!

Anyway, tomorrow should be the first "real" day of training, the other day was for assessment. We did some mountain climbers, some tuck jumps, lunges, ball work, etc.

Hi girls! Today was MMA KB, hadn't done it in a long time. I have been cleaning out closets and cupboards. I have found a lot of out dated food! From. 2005! Murphy, sounds impressive what you are doing. I have a hard time working out in front of other people. I envy you! Ronne, enjoy your long weekend. And we won't talk about why you are off! Lisa, glad to hear you had a good visit with your sister. Hope your DH is feeling better soon. He has to be frustrated. Have a good day! Mary

Mary, wow, can I hire you to come clean my cupboards, closets, basement, crawl space? We've been in this house for 19 yrs, omg, we have accumulated sooooo much! Some of this stuff I saved for the kids when they got older for their first apartment, however, they don't want my stuff, they want new.

Well, I fizzled out. I tried to start MMA Boxing (because I needed to punch at air to get some frustrations out that I'm having at work), but then my stomach felt so awful from cramps (no flow...my version of a period), that I stopped after 15 min. Guess there's tomorrow.

the funeral was HUGE for DH's aunt, 250-300 people. DH is in major pain, guess the drug may be helping to move the stone. I'm hoping I don't have to work this weekend, I'm tired of sitting around all week to get the work on the weekend, I'm putting my foot down that I can't work, and unless they budge then it might be one of my co-workers doing it which I don't think is right either, they need to manage the work better.

I'll get off my soapbox now :)
