40s Healing in October

Godo afternoon

Roxie - perhaps DD with baby is feeling a bit bad about herself. Has she lost all her baby weight? She might just be a bit jealous.

Lisa - it's great to hear you so positive and enjoying your 'baby' workouts!

Mary - ???? what a week! Good luck with all that. I'd offer to do some baking for you! :D

Murphy - good to see you and glad things are going well at the moment.

Did HR today. First time I've done the whole thing for a while so I was finding it a bit tough by the end.
Got a bit of a shock, just been checking how much tax I'll have to pay at the end of January and it's twice as much as I expected (boring, snoring explanation). The frustrating thing is that I know that next July I'll have to pay less as I'll have overpaid in Jan!

Hi all. Rode the bike a bit this moring. Nothing crazy, 10-15 min was all that I was going for. It was the spin bike so I had a tiny bit of resistance on it, just enough to say I had some. I felt it in my legs which was nice. I have chemo tomorrow and a follow-up shot on Thursday so I probably won't be back for a while. Keep working out for me.

Murphy

Good Morning,

I did Lean Leg and Abs and 30 minutes on the TM. Its cold here today. We are going to see GS this afternoon.

Ronne-DD weighs 119lbs and she is 5'4 she lost alot of wts before she got pregnant and she didn't gain a whole lot when she was pregnant GS was only 5lbs and she breastfed so she lost the wt quickly and has kept it off.

Murphy-I will be thinking of you the next couple of days take care of yourself and good job with your workout.

Hello! Today did RK, I like it! There are some jumping jacks, but nothing like HS. Murphy, they don't give you much time to recover in between treatments, do they? I'll be thinking of you. Roxie, sorry about DD's. Wish I had words of wisdom, sounds like you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. I mean, if you say anything, then she might not let you see the baby......her sister could say something tho, right? All of you sound absolutely perfect to me! Lisa, congrats on the step workout! I watched it, looks complicated to me! I have never been that great of a stepper tho. Roone, you have to pay taxes twice a year? Of course, I feel like we pay taxes all the time! In April, federal and state, we also have to pay local taxes quarterly and property taxes monthly out of our house payment. Gets discouraging sometimes! Jody! Hello! Have to figure out dinner, probably leftovers. Yesterday I made cheese stuffed meatballs and sphagetti! I was sooooo good, if I may say so! Have a good night! Mary

I had exam and turned in a few assignments today- I hope to stay more ahead of things rest of semester. Also did a little run/walk and some squats with 25s.
Roxie I gained wt over summer and also stopped getting on scale but doing better now that I'm so freaking busy and pack lunches 4 days. I asked for dd feedback about my wt, I'm scared to get back on scale.
Ronne, unexpected expenses can ruin a good mood!
Mary, my mom has MRSA infx on her skin (leg). I may pick your nursing brain. I'll ask the nurses tomorrow in ICU, too. They've been great to work with at this rotation. I just worry cuz I don't think her doc is proactive.
Murph, good job on workout, I hope you have a good rest of week.
Lisa, puppy feeling better yet? I dreamed about my two last night.

Hello

Jody - hope the exam went well. I don't know how you manage. I couldn't imagine going back to study.

Mary - These are my personal income taxes because I'm self-employed. January is an advance payment and July is in arrears (end of tax year is March). We also have council tax (local) every month which is for local services. Most employed people just have the taxes taken direct from their salary. Well done on the cooking!

Roxie - have fun with GS.

Murphy - good luck - will be thinking of you.

Did DM today all the way through. It must be at least a year since I last tackled it. I did much better than I have ever done. I do think the recent Cathe's have got me in better shape.
Quiet working day today so getting on with housework, cleaning the floor, washing etc. (Hey Mary, aren't I good?! :p)

Hi all. I did the X10 low impact workout. It was okay, just the right length at about 30 min. I was not going to exercise today but I reminded myself that I feel good right now but won't in a few hours so I better take advantage of it. I may not feel like doing anything for the next 4-5 days. I am trying to feel normal again.

Anyway, waves to all.

Ronne - I have not DM in so long. I cannot even remember when.
Jody - I hope the exams went well too.
Lisa- how are you feeling?
Mary - I like the cheese stuffed meatballs idea. I may try that.
Roxie - how was lean legs?

Hi ladies, I didn't w/o yesterday, it was cold, yucky day, and my left shoulder blade hurt, even hot rice bag didn't help it. I think the muscle knot must be deeper now (maybe one day massage will get to the last layer!), I think it's the band back rows doing it from PT, so I'm axing those. It's not a DOMS type of pain and it is grating on me. My throat tightening is still bad too, I'm going to ask massage person about it Friday. So I instead laid in bed and read, and of course I then fell asleep :) STill hurt when I went to bed so took a valiuum to kiss the day away. Today, muscle better, but still didn't want to work out too much (weather, blah), so I did RK to see how it was and how my modifications would work. Kept elbows into my side for punches (I'm sure I looked ridiculous). After the 1st kicking combo, it just wasn't worth it, but I did have movement from previous cardio segments (with my modifications). Hopefully I shouldn't hurt (stems from moving the shoulder), it's too hard to modify KB so that will have to wait, massage person thinks more like at 9 months (that's 5more months). I'll sacrifice a little toning, and some weight gain (seems to be a common thread here lately), for pain free body.

Jody, puppy again vomit/diarehea, shivering now, so took her to vet. (it brought back visions of my sheltie with her kidney failure--vet assured me that was last on her list). It's either a bacteria in GI (so got antibiotics) or her GI so sensitive need to change her food (that's what I was guessing). So right now on a RX diet for a month (plus probiotics) then work with them to find a puppy food, more than likely duck or fish based. $153 later....gee that could have bought Ronne some glasses maybe :p Seems her and I keep having our issues, sigh

Murphy, good call to do something knowing you will feel worse. Thanks for asking how I feel. Time and patience I guess.

Ronne, if you are independantly employed we have to pay quarterly taxes too. I don't think we should have to pay taxes for the days our crazy government has been shutdown! gah

Roxie, I couldn't ever imagine putting my Mom down about her weight, now my sister might be a different story (though I still wouldn't). Makes me remember my Mom saying "consider the source and move ahead" (so that you don't make waves in seeing GS).

Mary, I'm sick of trying to figure out what's for dinner!

Good Evening,

Quick checkin we just got home from dds they put GS in the hospital this afternoon he started running a temp and didn't do anything but sleep the whole time DH and I took care of him today and when we left the hospital he was sleeping, they do not know whats wrong with him yet just that he is dehydrated bloodwork was normal waiting on chest xray and urine specimen.

Hi everyone

Roxie - hope they find out what's wrong with GS quickly.

Lisa - I'd rather deal with expensive glasses than puppy poo and sick!

Murphy - well done on taking advantage of the good times!

At home with DD today. Teachers are on strike so school is closed. It's rather nice actually! She's just gone into town with a friend (first time ever!! :)) so got a bit of time to myself.
Did Kickbox Surge, surges only premix. Gave good punch!!
Going to bake some scones, I just really feel like eating some scones for some reason, so going to try making my own for the first time. (God, I'm turning into a right little housewifey!! :p)

Hi girls! Sorry never made it here yesterday, little one's birthday. I did do LLA, today did Tabatacize. Roxie, hope little one is feeling better today. They are scary because the get so sick so fast, on the plus side they recover quickly. Thinking of you. Murphy, hope yesterday went ok and hope you aren't feeling too beat up. Ronne, isn't nice when they can do stuff with their friends!? I still get nervous tho, always tell them to make good choices. So far they have! Are you becoming domesticated? Lisa, hope you are feeling better and the puppy too! They are like babies aren't they? Jody, half done with the semester! How's your mom? Do they have her on anything? Well, got out of drumline dinner, another mom wanted to do it, happily crossed that off my list! Sometimes, they get a little territorial! I don't want to step on any toes! Have a good evening all, Mary

Good Afternoon,

I did KCM's TLC Boxing and later hope to do Xtrain CB&S but my stomach is upset. GS is getting a little better they cut back his IV so he would actually drink and last I heard he has kept down some apple juice. He has a virus on top of the virus he already had so its up to him to fight it.

Mary-sometimes you just have to step aside and let someone else do things especially if they think they can do it better.

Murphy-thinking of you today.

Ronne-they growup so fast. To bad about the teachers but I feel they are all underpaid.

Hi all

Roxie - good news about GS. I don't mind the teachers going on strike. They do a tough job, I wouldn't be able to do it!

Mary - must be nice to scratch something off your list. Hope the youngest had a nice birthday. Did you do anything special for it?

Did SJP today: skipped the hi lo portions and did everything else.

It never rains but it pours ... PC has finally given up the ghost. Spent the whole morning looking at various options and finally ordered something which should be here on Tuesday. I can't afford to wait too long to get something as it's my livelihood. Bye bye, the best part of £400. I was still using XP and Office 2002 so I am due for an upgrade. Just need to try and earn some money to pay for it!

Good Morning,

Bad news about GS he threw up again yesterday so they redid his bloodwork and stomach xray and it is showing normal so they are doing a sonogram talking to a surgeon and if he doesn't have any ideas they are sending him to a bigger hospital in Kansas City. I feel so helpless there is nothing I can do for him or his mom I am to far away. Sorry I needed someone to talk to and you guys are it.

Grandson tested positive for and ulcer they are going to do the sonogram and then probably send him to a childrens hospital in Kansas City.

Oh wow, Roxie, how did he get an ulcer? Do they know? Hope the lil guy starts feeling better! What happened to the title HEALING us?

Mary, I found in the school system that some mothers always wanted control. I let them :)

Murphy, hope you are feeling better soon! Was this the last round?

Ronne, Oh my on your computer woes! Your system did sound pretty old :) I'm not much better I'm sure, but I'm in the Mac world. DH says I need a new Mac I tell him it still emails and does enough internet fine. :)

Jody, Sounds like your schooling is having a more positive time this semester?

Yesterday work busy, did FT (skipped or subbed parts), just wanted to see what it was about, then had an appt in Boulder so didn't get here. Today just got back from massage. She says my front neck muscles are super tight hence the choking feeling. Still waiting on dr visit mid Nov before she can really get into the neck but she did give me a bit of superficial relief. And did the chest /clavicle area to help some. Said to stay on the muscle relaxers. She thinks front neck muscles are tight from holding head up, maybe some muscle imbalance from her working below the neck making it feel worse. Today, I think I'm going to indulge and just lay in bed and read, no w/o. Worst part is, I tried on my jeans finally to go to Boulder yesterday, let's just say it wasn't pretty :(

Good Afternoon,

It is raining with snow mixed in here. I did Xtrain CB&S and Tabata 1 later I will do squats.

Lisa-they are not sure when he got the ulcer could have been 6 months ago or just recently. He has had tummy problems since he was born and before that DD couldn't eat dairy while she was pregnant it made her sick. I haven't heard the results of the sonogram yet. The childrens hospital they want to take him to is really good with tummy stuff.

Roxie - good luck to your grandson. I hope he feels better soon. I'll say a prayer for him.

Lisa - this was round 3 of 4 of one treatment. I start a different series of treatments in November - 12.

Good morning! Did GG today, did PH yesterday. Roxie, how is GS? I have kept him in my prayers. Hope he is doing better today. Murphy, thinking of you too. Hope you are feeling ok. Lisa, how are you? Why are we falling apart? Snow? Say it isn't so! Ronne, hope the computer comes early! Jody, how are you? We have a cross country tailgate party today, 80 percent chance of rain! I better go find my rubber boots! Thinking of all of you! Mary
