Hey all, I don't think I saw a thread for this week, so here it is. I'm even here late today. Seems once you start the day running late, it seems you are always trying to play catch up doesn't it? I did do Step Moves today, I think I almost have all the footwork down! I did GS legs yesterday, OMG, such DOMS. I also did abs only from Travel Fit one day this weekend. Have decided I probably won't be doing it, the band work from GS BSB gave my neck fits so I'm trying to be smart and limit band work.

How's everyone doing? I can't remember where everyone is at, but hope all is going well with everyone and that you are healthy.

Hi everyone! Another Monday! Today I did M2 disc 14, I loved meso 2! My chest is talking to me now! Snowing here again, Supposed to warm up to the 30's by the end of the week tho! Another hot flash last night. I don't really enjoy those at all! Lisa, how did you do with Step Moves? I have to give that another go. I did MMA Fusion the other day, it was fun. I have a lot to learn about MMA, a lot of room to grow with that one! Hi to you Ronne and Murphy. Ronne, feeling any better? Lisa, how is Maddy? Well, almost betime here. The tooth fairy needs to come tonite, our baby boy lost his front tooth, he looks so sweet! Good night all. Mary

Hey girls

Well, I'm very slowly climbing aboard the exercise bandwagon. The cough is nearly gone and I'm feeling human again. I did a KPC premix yesterday and the lower body portion from KCM BodyTraining today. It feels good to be doing something again :).

Lisa - I love GS Legs, it's got such great variety. That and L&G are my favourites. I think it'll be a couple of weeks before I tackle that again.

Mary - so did the tooth fairy come? How much does she leave in the US? Here, she usually leaves £1 ;)

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi All,

I too am slowly getting back on the exercise bandwagon. I had a cough and sinus thing that would not go away. I took two days off and am finally feeling better. I am sure I should take it easy but knowing me I won't. :) I wil keep you all posted!

Hi to eveyone!

Murphy

Hi everyone, I only managed CM seg 2, had my weekly, stupid, 7:00am conf call so that messes with my whole morning. Then Maddy isn't eating today, moping about like she doesn't feel well. Ended up syringing her food in her (thank goodness DH is here this week, he's better at that than I am---of course it helps to have 2 people). I don't know what's set her off and I don't think I'll ever know, so we just try to deal with it best we can. She still follows me around waiting for her walk (bless her heart), maybe this afternoon will be better.

Ronne, glad you're getting back on the wagon. I'm scared that if I ever fall off I may not make it back on! I had to force myself to do Step Moves yesterday but by the end I was glad I did it and felt better all day long. I just wish my PF would cooperate more!

Mary, aw, the first tooth! Wow! What is the toothfairy up to these days? i can't remember what we gave, $1, $2? I really liked Step Moves, but then I like dancy stuff. I got a great workout because I had to quickly take a shower to get ready to log on to work and here I was all red faced again. then I took a shower, got dressed, logged on and realized I was late to a conf call! so had to get on the phone, with wet hair, no teeth brushed, ugh. I do not know how I'll do it when I have to start going in everyday....no word on a date for that yet but I heard 4/1.....that's better than 2/1!

Well, better get to work, oh joy

Hi girls! Today I did a Jillian w/o that one of the kids gave me for Christmas, Banish the Fat, I enjoyed it, just cardio drills, sweating up a storm! Tooth fairy came last night $5!! I use to get a buck! (really the tooth fairy couldn't find any thing smaller!) Lisa, what is CM? Sorry to hear about Maddy. Hope work is ok. Murphy, sorry to hear you are sick! Probably those children sharing again? Ronne, did you get your dvd's yet? I do enjoy that KCM one! Well, dryer is yelling at me, have to finish putting the living room back together and make dinner and go to basketball practice. Talk to you tomorrow. Mary

Hi All,

I did circuit blast and I liked it. I was huffing a bit in some parts, but overall it was good. I have been avoiding the step ones b/c I am not a fan of step, but I am running out of options. Anyone try them? What do you think?

Murphy

Good morning! Today I did a leg w/0 from mesMo 2, quick and painful! Murphy, I tried step moves, made it to the reverse u-turns, got lost and turned it off. Step is not my specialty! I will give it another go when I am feeling smarter! I did like circuit blast! Lisa, how is Maddy today? Eating any better? Hi to you Ronne. Hope you all have a good day. Mary

Hi everyone

Just a quick one as I'm going to play on the Wii with DD!!

Mary - no those blasted DVDs haven't turned up yet. We've had more snow again so the post is really erratic. They're probably sat in some sorting office somewhere. It's so frustrating! At least hearing how tough they are makes me a bit more patient ;)!

Murph - I seem to be losing interest in step a bit at the moment. I do like my complicated choreography tho'! Circuit blast looks good.

Lisa - hope you've had a better day, today.

I did 30 mins of HiLo Cardio (Amy Bento). Just sweaty enough!

Bye for now!

Hey, quick post, work is being grrrrr. I did circuit blast (hey Murphy maybe we were doing it at the same time? :) )

Mary, Maddy seems better today, I think I have to switch her back to home cooked food for the moisture content, her tummy just can't handle the kibble (although that is what she prefers). So far she ate my food, hope she continues (she's turning her nose up at Cream of Wheat now, did you tell her it was yucky????) CM is Core Max, my abs are sore today from it, I always get good sore abs from the ball segment.

Geez, I don't have time to finish personals, sorry. I do have to say I like the Step Moves, but then I like step! I like Boxing and KB, but then I don't normally like those! I do think I need a break from STS Cardio, my plantar fasciatis needs a break from all the higher impact.

gotta run....it's times like this I DO NOT WANT TO WORK AND WONDER WHY I AM

Hey, I'll be back to post personals and workout but had to tell you all. My youngest son got a merit scholarship to Colorado School of Mines (where my other son goes and the premier engineering college here)! It will pay for about 25% of his tuition over the 4 years! I'm so proud of him, it's tough enough getting into that school, even tougher to get a scholarship from them!

Okay, I did MMA Fusion. What was Cathe on/thinking when she created it? I really like it but some of the moves, mostly the tuck and rolls and tuck or roll (?) and push-up? I mean really, by the time I am advanced to the point where I can do it, I won't remember that I did it. Actually, with my mommy-brain that is sort of...now... :)

Lisa - congrat's on the scholarship. I was just talking to a friend about the cost of college nowadays. Congrat's!

Hey I'm back, did MMA KB.....I have some pulled muscles again in my left neck so thought that would help work them out. I need to remember to not push myself on band work as this one is from the band work in Circuit Blast and those new bands of Cathe's are harder than the other. I need to quit trying to be a he-woman. :)

Murphy, MMA fusion is tough I can't get down to the ground quick enough and pop back up, etc, so I use the top of the high step and drop down to that instead of the floor. The rolly things, if I put my legs tucked to one side instead of crossed I can get up easier. Maybe because I am so NOT flexible.

Ronne, how was the WII? what did you play? Murphy is the WII master here :)

Hi Mary, Maddy is slurping up my slop, I hope it continues, hopefully she'll realize it's better for her. She had some heartburn last night (common with kidney problems)---I think I've determined that her cough, cough, yak is the heartburn signal. I had switched her to prilosec so that may be why so I got up at 2:30am and stuff a zantac down her throat. She quit her yakking a couple hours later. So I think I've determined that zantac works best for her instead of prilosec or pepsid. Do you know anything about these drugs? The zantacs are odd shaped and a pain in the butt to cut in 1/3s. Oh well.

Gotta run, busy day at work, again, hopefully not filled with as much stupidity as yesterday, but I doubt it.

Hi everyone

Lisa - Congrats to your DS. That's fabulous news. I can tell you're bouncing from your post!
You're amazing the amount of love and effort you put in to looking after Maddy. I take my hat off to you.
Do you really tighten up when you use the band? Is that why you get injured?
I did some tennis and bowling with DD on the Wii. I really like it actually!

Murph - you (and the others) are starting to frighten me now! These DVDs sound impossible!

Mary - guess you're killing yourself with STS cardio as well?!

I forgot to mention that I started a new salsa class on Tuesday night. I've stopped doing tap but want to get out of the house. I've never done salsa before and it was great fun. A pretty good workout as well, I was sweating by the end! I've just signed up for a 6 week beginner course, so I'll see how it goes.

Well, today we got a postal delivery (only the third in over a week). No DVDs. I'm starting to worry that they've disappeared. Don't know what I'll do if they have

Won't be around tomorrow as I'm off to London for a day's meeting. Have a good weekend and see you all on Monday.

Lisa, happy day! Congrats to your son! You both must be so proud. Glad to hear about Maddy. Those zantac's are a little small to cut into 3! I know protonix comes in a liquid? Maybe you could ask the vet? Ronne, salsa dancing sounds fun! I have always wanted to take dance lessons! I hope you get your dvd's soon. You have been sooo patient! And I want you to suffer with us! Murphy, wasn't Fusion fun? So differnt! I was sweating up a storm, my oldest DS did it with me (he took tae kwon do) He loved it, especially all the floor stuff, (that I wasn't good at!) He is only 5 foot, I have 9 inches on him, way further down to go! Have to go get my cardio in. Have a good night. (Ronne, have fun in London!) Mary

Okay, did the HiiT Wave Pyramid and was so happy that it was only 30 minutes long! OMG, it is not hard, it just requires effort. I am really enjoying these new workouts!
Of those of you who have done STS more than once, did you re-do your 1RM's? I was updating the numbers as I went but I have not been hitting the weights as hard as I should have so I feel like I should do them again, but there are so many...

Lisa - I agree w/ you about Cathe's new band's. Travel Fit is much tougher now (as well as everything else). Thanks for the tip on the MMA Fusion - using the step instead of trying to get to the floor. Why didn't I think of that? Glad to hear that Maddy is doing well.

Ronne - I am jealous. I would love to take a salsa class, enjoy it for me. Have fun in London. Bring me something back. :)

Mary - I do like MMA Fusion, I'm sure I will love it once I can do all the moves! I was a little slow during the drop-to-the-floor-and-then-jump-back-up stuff, and the tuck and roll stuff. Where does Cathe come up w/ this stuff?

Murphy

Hi ladies! Today I did CTX UB --- I really like that oldie but goodie. Glad I bought the online one, so much cheaper than buying CTX dvd.

Ronne, I think my neck problem is sensitive because of a car accident I was in when I was 5. Stress doesn't help either. I think I just need to use the old band on the back/shoulder band exercises. Salsa sounds like sooooo much fun!

Murphy, i guess we could be twins on mma fusion---a sad sight? glad to hear that I'm not a wimp with the bands. I really don't like the new ones and didn't know if if's because they are harder or there is not as much "give". what do you think? Oh, I've never redone my 1RMs....I'm finding that even on some older workouts I can't get any higher and sometimes have to go lower than I've marked down. I figure at least I'm doing something and it's challenging but I'm not killing or injuring myself than I'm doing fine.

Mary, you are tall at 5' 9"...I"m a shortie at 5'5"....what about everyone else? Maddy is eating up a storm, I had to make more food last night and then I ordered chinese take out for the family :) She's lost a bit of weight ---I hope her eating streak continues!

HAve a good weekend everyone.....and hope you had fun in London Ronne, I'm jealous!

Hi everyone! Happy weekend! Today was back and biceps from meso 2, yesterday did Hiit 40/20, I was winded!! But at 25 min, the pain was over quickly. Having friends over for dinner (lasanga) (don't tell!) I wanted to wish everyone a good weekend! Lisa, I love chinese! i haven''t redone my 1 rm's either, I think I will just wing it! Ronne, hope you had fun in London! I went to Rocky River today, (just doesn't sound the same as London! Murphy, Did you like the pyramid? I actually thought 40/20 was easier than 30/30, because there are some longer breaks! Talk to you all Mon. Mary

Hi All,

I did Tracie Long's Step Forward. I liked it and would have gotten a better work out if my "assistant" didn't keep talking to me and asking for crayons. My kids like to talk, A LOT!

Lisa - I just received Cathe's bands and so I don't know if they are harder or I just have not worked them enough. They definetly do not have much give. I bought the other bands at Gym Source. The had more give and I had more range of motion using them. BTW, I am 5' 2.5". Don't forget my extra .5 inches! :)

Mary - You must be a superwoman. I thought 40/20 was harder, I think. I have to do them again. I thought the pyramid was the middle one in terms of difficulty.

Murph
