Hi everyone, I'm finally starting the new thread...can't believe no one else started one!:D

I did the new Kettlebell Way II dvd today. It's pretty good. Beth in the video seems to have made a lot of fitness gains since her last one. Her abs look good, mine are close, it's just that I hvae a little pooch in the lower portion which I don't think will ever go away. Maybe that was caused from birthing 2 huge babies? 8.5 lbs and 9.5 lbs?

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend. My DD is feeling much better and no one else caught it! Yeah! Did PH today, not my best w/o. I wasn't into it today. Hope all is well with everyone. LIsa, I am right there with you with the pooch, I wish they could have pulled it tighter when they did my c-sections! Hi to all that follow, have a great MOn. Mary

It's not bronchitis ...

...it's pneumonia! Okay, I'm sick of being sick! This is dragging on and on and on. I need to complain here because nobody else would understand why I hate missing workout after workout! I'm finally on antibiotics -- it took the doctor's office five days to get the x-ray read by somebody who could tell pneumonia from not-pneumonia.

So I'm trying to get better as fast as I can because I have five out-of-town relatives arriving on Wednesday.

I hope that everybody else in our 40+ group is healthy and looking forward to a wonderful Thanksgiving! And I look forward to getting better so I can start checking off those workouts again!

Ladies,

I have put myself on a "Eat good food until thanksgiving challenge" I hit two hurdles. I didn't know when thanksgiving was and two I've eaten really really badly today.

I now know when thanksgiving is - To clarify, we don't "do" thanksgiving in Australia, thank goodness - all that cooking and dishes before, during and after, Whew (wipes brow) too much llike hard work!:D

Kathyrn - I am soo sorry you are sick. I'm very angry for you those jerks of medics, taking so long to non pneumonia you, to pneumonia you. OMG. Hope you feel better soon and the workouts will still be there when you get back.

Hi Lisa, Mary and all who follow. I'm making a mad dash to post this and jump into bed. Night.

Hello All!

I've been bad at checking in lately, the holiday crazies have begun here and I have not been able to find an uninterrupted time to start or finish my workouts.

I'm hoping today is a 'normal' day where I can actually do something other than run around town doing carpooling or errands .

Lisa glad you liked KBTW2 - I still have not had the chance to try it out yet :( Maybe if I'm lucky I can today

Mary here's to good health for as long as we can get it. I've been feeling a bit 'off' but I'm thinking it s stress related due to all the running around I've been doing for the past few days/week. Glad your dd is feeling well.

Kathryn Oh boy! pneumonia! Make sure you rest that body and don't try to overexert yourself. So sorry you are so sick.

Andrea
I've been trying to eat clean but this past weekend I had too much junk and had been dealing with a food hangover , so far this morning I'm feeling ok.

Its hard work for Thanksgiving - I'm doing a brunch as DH will have worked his shift so I figured before he nods off for the day I'll have the food done by the time he gets home that morning.

Hope all have a great day

Just dropping by to say hellos to everyone. No workout for me since it's a rest day. My DS from college will be home today for Thanksgiving! It's so nice having all my little babies under the same roof again (if only for a while) and taking care of them like a good mama bird does. Never thought it would feel this way when they left home.

Anyways,
Katherine, You take care of yourself! Take this time to rest and get better, you deserve it. Us woman so often put ourselves last.

Andrea, Thankfully we don't gorge on food at Thanksgiving. In fact, I'm taking the lazy way out and getting the turkey from the Honeybaked Ham store...they are supposed to be pretty good, will see. Thanksgiving has never been the pig out feast for us and this year is less so with our new eating habits.

Vilma, I think it will only get crazier as the holidays get in full swing. I'm cutting way back on what I normally do to get the house "holiday ready".

Hellos to Mary, Murphy, and anyone else I forgot.

Hi everyone! It is snowing here! Kathryn, I'm sorry about the pneumonia! Boy you have been sick for awhile, I hope that you are feeling better no that they know what is wrong. Take care of yourself. Lisa, I bought a turkey from Honeybaked Ham also, it just seems so much easier than the whole cooking thing. I have everyone bringing sides, so hopefully it will be easy and relaxed. I don't want any drama! Vilma, brunch sounds perfect! Today will be some cardio, haven't decided what yet. Hi to Andrea and all that follow, Have a good day. Mary

Hello all

Kathryn - sorry to hear about the pneumonia. That's terrible! Take it easy, plenty of rest and DON'T exercise till you're completely better, promise?!!

Mary - hope you and the kids are enjoying the snow. I'm glad that the rest of you avoided illness.

Lisa - hope you have a lovely time with your family. Thanksgiving seems a very badly timed celebration to me with the big blowout of Christmas on its way. I think I would have a breakdown if I had to deal with that as well!

Vilma - I don't think it ever stops being busy whatever time of year. There's always something!

Well, I managed a workout at the weekend (PUB/PLB bonus combo) and today I did 4DS HIS/C&B. I've decided to use the 4DS for all my workouts for the forseeable future, seeing as I never know when I;ll be able to manage a workout. I reckon by using that I know that I'll be covering everything even if there's a few days gap inbetween.
I'm gearing up for Christmas here at the moment, planning to see people, outings, presents, etc. Also got the school Christmas fair to help out at soon. Oh and the small matter of working to pay for all this!!

Hello to Andrea and anyone lurking.

bye for now!

Thankful for you all!

Thank you for the good wishes! I'm actually starting to feel a bit better, for the first time in three weeks. I feel as if I've turned the corner and am finally on the mend. I really appreciate your concern and understanding. It's so hard to resist working out because I'm losing muscle mass all over the place.

Ronne, I promise I won't work out until I'm feeling better, and will start easy. DH will see to that -- he's worried that I'll go crazy and do too much too soon (who, me?).

Have a happy Thanksgiving, everybody. Even if you live overseas and don't celebrate it, we still have lots to be thankful for. Good health is at the top my list! :D

Hi everyone! I did a kettlebell workout today. I must have did something to my left hip flexor yesterday even though I didn't work out because it's bothering me today. Hurts to lift my leg up to step up a stair.

Katherine, glad you are on the mend. Don't do too much too soon and have a relapse.

Ronne, That sounds like a good plan with the 4DS...those workouts are great. Work gets in the way of our playtime, huh? And then when you retire you are can't enjoy the non working part of your life as much as you could in your younger years. Something is wrong with that picture.

Gotta run...have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone! Just a quick hello to all. A lot of errands and cleaning to do before Thurs. I clean up and the kids follow behind creating disasters! Kathryn, I am glad to hear you are on the mend. Start back light, you'll regain your strength quickly. Hi to Lisa, Ronne, Andrea, Vilma, and you too Rhondalyn if you are lurking around! Hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving, or a great Thurs! I know we all have much to be grateful for. Mary

Hello All,

I am finally starting to feel back-ish to my old self. I have not been doing much exercise but eating well. I am been trying to get some walking in when I can but I never feel like it is enough. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

Murph

O.K being Australian I am not celebrating Thanksgiving.

However,
To You all, Have a great day!

Go EASY on the FOOD! AHH Stuff it! Its one day, GO FOR IT!!!!

Have fun

your Australian over 40 friend,

Hey, did everyone get their workout in? I did Step Blast, now off to get things going for the big day.

Andrea, thanks for being with us in spirit on our holiday. :D

Hope you all have a good day. Eat and forget the restrictions for once!

No builders again for me so I did 4DS KB/Legs. I love that KB section. It makes me smile every time. I really love the punching combo at the end, I feel so tough!

Glad to see you here again Murph!

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you all have a great day and eat lots! Today I did LIC, it was a good time! Then I got a migraine, haven't had one in a long time. Most likely the stress of everyone coming here for dinner. Just feeling the expectations of making everyone happy. Sometimes I think it would be easier just to go out! Anyway, have a great day. I am thankful for "meeting" all of you. Mary

Hi, hope everyone had a great turkey day (whether you celebrate or not). I did Jari Love's R&C only UB part as I'm saving my legs for tomorrow's CCPP. Next Wed I plan on starting that FitnessFreak rotation and checkin. I've been having a hard time sticking to a rotation so maybe that will help, plus the rotation has a different spin on it even though it's the same Cathe dvds, so maybe that will hold my attention as well.

Today I am going to try to get the Xmas tree up. Normally I put up 2 trees and a big snow village. I guess parring down is the theme for me this year as I'm only going to put up one tree (the smaller one) and maybe a couple houses from my snow village collection. Also not doing any of the other decorating around the house besides the stockings and a couple Xmas wall hangings I made and really like.

Did anyone hit the stores today? I don't even want to go anywhere near them!

Oh and the turkey from Honeybaked Ham was delicious! I think turkey will be on the menu for Xmas too (normally we have ham). My sis isn't too happy about that but that's tough, besides, isn't turkey better for you than ham?

Hi everyone,

I did TLT's Finding Your Core. It was my first time and I enjoyed it. My toddler wanted to exercise with me and distracted me quite a bit throughout the entire dvd, but what I was able to see and do I enjoyed.

The holiday was good. I did not overate and I am very proud of myself. Ya-me!
