40 and over checkin - Monday 6/23

Cathlete
I thought I'd get the checking started for today. I'm off to do B&G. How's everyone's eats going? I stuck to only 2 Dove's yesterday...woohoo. :9 :D

Hi Lisa! There's another 40 & Over going but I'll check back in here!

My eating this morning was 2 egg whites w/one whole egg, slice of ham (not so good, I know) and 2 tblsp of salsa. Thought about a slice of 7 Sprouted Grain toast but didn't go that way! :)

Neither did my workout! I was planning on a Cathe cardio, thought more of Muscle Endurance but ended up doing CTX Step/Intervals/Chest. Glad I did what I did!!!! We women have a right to change our mind right?:7 Not so sure it meant that many times in one day LOL:7 :7 :7

I also walked my dog this morning - he'll get another later this evening!

Off to hit the shower, take my dog to the vet (check-up), back for a salad, then he goes to the chiropractor! Call me crazy!;-)

Have a great day!

Hi Tina, I swear your checkin was not there when I looked so thought I'd start one. I may be over 40 (43) but I don't think I'm blind yet. :9 Maybe something do do with different timezones or something. Oh well, that's the last time I do that! I'll checkin on the other one in a bit, got some things to do for now.

Hey Lisa! Don't you worry about a thing - it's absolutely no problem at all!!!!:)

I saw where one of the check-ins has it listed for the week. Maybe we could do something next week like 40 and Over Check-in week of June 30. I like the idea they had, that way nobody gets lost and you have the entire week to look back on....what do you think?

Good Morning to all !
I did manage to do a 30 minute kettlebell workout this morning. I guess it's going to take awhile to rebuild my endurance because it felt tough.
Already cheated and put creamer in my coffee. I've been trying to drink it black but actually one of life's greatest pleasures is that first cup of coffee with creamer.
Busy morning trying to get all organized and get 4 kids packed for 4 different camps/school orientations. Three out the door, now a 5 hour drive to take my youngest to church camp in the mountains.
It felt great to get my body moving again. Plan to take a 2 mile walk tonight after the weather cools off some. Have a great day. Laura:)

Hi Ladies. Can I join you? I don't usually go to the forums on weekends so I missed the kickoff checkin thread!

I'm 42 and looking to shave off just a few more pounds for summer. After having my children in my 30's - I lost about 30 excess pounds 5 years ago and have been fairly stable. I was up a few more than I wanted to be this past winter. I've lost 5 so far and want to lose 5 more but it is TOUGH! My problem area remains my thighs.

I'm doing p90x weights with running 3x a week. I've also been counting calories and protein during the week but slipping on the weekends and that keeps me from losing much. I feel like I'm fighting for every ounce and if I so much as look at a cookie, it comes back! GRRR.

Tonight I'm doing PUB because I'm too bored with Tony to do chest and back. Yesterday I ran 4 miles and walked .5 for warm up and 1 for cooldown.

Hello Everyone.

I thought I had posted earlier today but its gone now.

When did this check in start? Today is the 1st time I see this one.

Well on with my intro ;) I'm Vilma, aged 41 and just celebrated my 20th Wedding Anniversary this month. We have 3 children; 2 girls and a boy ages - DD 18 next month, son 16 in Sept and DD 10 next month. My girls birthdays are just 6 days apart lol.

I 1st discovered Cathe when we got back to the states after living in England in 93 (hubby was active duty AF, he recently retired after 22yrs of service) and have been a fan since.

I have been working out to Cathe on and off since then but got consistent following her rotations monthly in 03. With Cathe's rotations and following WW online/meetings program I lost 50 # and became Lifetime member in WW back in the fall of 04.

At the moment I'm following FF's Get ready for summer rotation 08.

Just got done with PP UB X3 premix which followed CCv7 earlier this morning.

A hearty hello to all :)

I'm finally back to do my checkin. A busy day today. I did B&G and then my normal 3 mile 45 min walk with my sheltie. Then I went bra shopping. I dislike shopping but especially bra shopping. Since I just dropped 30 lbs it was time to get a decent bra and now come to find out along with losing 30 lbs I lost all my boobs! It was very discouraging trying to find something in an A cup. First I couldn't believe I was in an A (haven't been an A since before I had kids in my 20s). Second everything I liked didn't come in an A. I settled on a Warner's. Will see how that goes.

Vilma, good to see you here, I beleive you are the one that finally convinced me to take my treadmill out of the storage room and do iTreads and Cardio Coach. I'm so glad I did!

Cindi, I love PUB, I did it this past weekend and I upped a lot of my weights. I love when I can up the weights, seems I never get much higher for shoulder work though. My biceps were fried.

Gabriella, is creamer cheating? I always use creamer, there are some things I just can't compromise on.

Tina, what kind of dog do you have? And you take him/her to the chiro? wow, now that's love for an animal.

Quick background for me. Married for 22 yrs, 43, almost 44 yrs old, 2 sons, 16 and 19. A sheltie dog 11 yrs, and a cat, 15 yrs, both females as I had to get the male to female ratio even in the house. :9

Hi Lisa,

That probably was me about iTreads and Cardio Coach lol - both programs have given my treadmill a prized area in my living/family room lol before that it had been exiled to the garage

Glad I was able to help out in giving your treadmill new life ;)

So glad I found CC's and iTreads last spring because they are absolutely addicting and I love the endorphins lol

Wanted to add here since I see Lisa mentioning her fur babies that I also have two very spoiled 7 yr old cats lol .... a male and female (not related as far as I can tell got them a month apart) that were both rescued from two different shelters.

Hi everyone!

I had a seriously BAD attack of the midnight munchies last night! (I'm Australian and live in Australia so its the start of my day, now) I visited the pantry and ate 3 chocolate mint biscuits! Whats with the eating in the middle of the night? I do it all the time! Its a craving for chocolate or something sweetly satisifying in the middle of the night.

Anyone else suffer this "illness" ?
I never used to do it. Its only started in the last 12 months.
Andrea

Hi All,

Hi Vilma - you haven't lost your mind...there were two threads going!

Cindi- I just finished P90X - I like what you're doing adding the running 3X a week. Wish I would have added more cardio! I've seen great definition in my arms, my legs are "fairly" toned...well, quads are...the behind - we won't discuss all that cellulite!!! x(

Lisa - I have a german shepherd - he's 7 1/2. Yep, he gets to go to the chiropractor and he has his own homeopath! Get's more goodies than I do!!!! He's the only baby I have!

Idream - my husband does that middle of the night eating - gets up and eats chocolate ice cream...he has sleep apnea, I told him that still was no excuse;-)

Indymom - hang in there - not much longer to go!

Everybody have a wonderful evening!
