37 and feel like a kid again

SRP

Cathlete
This is all about exercise - Cathe's exercise! I'm 37 and have exercised ever since those 20-minute workouts came out on TV. I did all the high impact stuff in the 80s, got into running, then found step.

All this was fun, most of the time, but after so much time, exercise had pretty much become a routine. I couldn't imagine living without it, but sometimes I wondered what it would be like to just quit.

I found Cathe's routines oh, getting close to a year ago now. Every time I plug one in, or think about buying another one, or just get online to review the routine descriptions, I feel like a kid in a toy store.

She has so many workouts, and they are all so varied, that I don't think I will ever get bored. Some people collect teapots, dolls or whatever. I collect Cathe tapes!

Shannon,

I could have written your letter. I've exercised for years too, and it was all getting pretty routine (boring), until I found Cathe. This year I've bought almost every one of her workouts and it is a blast each and every day deciding which workout to do . DH thinks I am weird to get so excited about it, but I think he's proud of me too.
The other day I was walking around the house in a bra top and shorts (getting ready to exercise) and my 14 yr old daughter yelled out "MOM, YOUR STOMACH!!!" , to which I glanced down to see what I had done to it, or spilled on it......and she said "your MUSCLES!!, your stomach is full of muscles!!!"
What a thrill to hear at 42 years old!! (and from my TEENAGED DAUGHTER, at that!!!) If those muscles were there before last year, they were hidden (under FAT), but since I started doing the Cathe workouts, I have lost some weight (went from size 7 to a 4, 125 lbs to 115 ) and added muscle. That speaks highly of her workouts because like I said before I already WAS exercising and have since I was in my 20's!!
As long as Cathe makes workouts, I will be buying them and adding them to my collection. And they won't just sit on a shelf collecting dust either! I will be jumping, pumping and "plyo-jacking" right along with Cathe and the gang, and all my new friends from the Cathe boards!!!:p

Shannon,

I use to do the 20 minute workouts too! I have several on tape and every so often I will pull it out for fun.

Joanne - I'll bet that's a hoot! You probably don't even break a sweat now, do you?

Isn't that funny! I used to do 20 minute workouts too, and now they seem like a warm up!

I am slowly building up my Cathe collection (thanks Lisa!) and I love the variety I can do with her workouts!
