3 more days to D-Land!

We leave for our vacation Saturday morning! We're actually driving to Sea-Tac Friday night and staying in a hotel to catch a 7:30am plane Sat morning.

I'm trying to get my 4 day split rotation completed this week, between packing, shopping for the last minute stuff and dodging all those feelings of "I'm going on vacation anyway, why not eat the pan of brownies?". My monthly visitor is schedule to arrive any minute. TMI, I know, but I'm praying to get my heavy day out of the way before we leave.

I've Netflix'd Jillian's 30 day Shred and I'm bringing that with me to work out in the hotel room. But besides that, I will be on vacation and clean eating be darned!

I'm so excited for my daughter -- she's 3 and loves the Disney Princesses. She is going to have so much fun! I made sure to buy an extra memory card for the camera so I can take a thousand pictures!

If I don't check in before the end of the week, I send greetings from the magic kingdom and I'll be ready to hit it hard when we get back. I will have a marathon to run in 18 weeks! Woo-hoo!

Have a wonderful day!!!

ROTFLMAO!!!

I hope you have a wonderful time on your vacation, and please give my regards to Mickey! :)

So you're going to Disneyland in So Cal?

Weather has warmed up pretty well here in CA this week. Should be nice since most of the kids are still in school. My kids were in a year round elementary and we had May off - was great for vacations !

Enjoy - we took the teens a couple years ago and California Adventure was fun even though it is designed for the younger crowds. I love the place !

Is this your first time to D Land?
First time I went with my family, we covered every park in Disney and Universal. I estimate we walked over 20 miles in 5 days- EASY. I ate anything and everything I wanted that week too. When I got home I was down a pound!

Have lots of fun!! Disney is a great family vacation!

Hey, I'm going to Disneyland next week too! I live in PA, but my sister and her family live in L.A. We are going Disneyland for my nephew's fifth b-day which is next Wed.

I have a back injury so I can't do anything more than walk around, but I can't wait to see everything through the eyes of a five year old!

Is California Adventure worth going to with a 5 year old? I heard it was more for toddlers. If you had to pick just one of the parks, would you pick C.A. or Disneyland?

California Adventure has Playhouse Disney Live and that's what Megan wants to see -- almost as much as the Disney Princesses. She's 3 -- not quite a toddler, but close enough that she'll probably enjoy both the toddler-age stuff and the school-age stuff.

Of course, if I had to pick one park, it would be Disneyland, but we have Park-hopper tix, so we can go to both!

Oh, how I have overpacked! I am realizing that now! :) I did the 4 day split Biceps and Triceps workout today -- so I'll be good an buff to carry those overpacked suitcases!

Have fun all!

California Adventure was not worth our time. They are planning to completely redo the entire CA part. It is more like a Cedar Point, IMO, except for the shows, which were good, but you have to time it just right.

DisneyLand is WONDERFUL, though! I prefer it to DisneyWorld. With younger children --Land is not as overwhelming as --World.

We have been going for the last few years and are gearing up for another trip soon.
