3 Month Challenge Oct 17-23

Happy Sunday Morning Ladies,
How was everyones first week? All in all, it went pretty good for me.I didn't eat as many sweets as normal and I actually let myself get a little hungry between meals! I was in the habit of never being hungry.When I would feel a little bit hungry..I would be poking something in my mouth.
I didn't get my workout in yesterday and I don't think I lost any weight.Maybe 1 lbs.Better then none.We went out last night and I had a few drinks and some munches so I am not going to weigh myself todayx( But I felt good in my clothes last night and I thought I looked o.k as well.
I didn't go to bed until 3:30 and I was up again at 9..so I am trying to find some energy to workout.I would love to get a long workout in today.Cardio and Weights.Prehaps I will start with the weights first and by that time I will have some energy for cardio.
I may check back later.If not I will check in tomorrow sometime.

Its me again.Just reporting that I did ME and a 45 min interval run.I feel much more energetic.Now I have to drive to my moms house.I hate having to drive long distances and its raining out...so I can't speed}( I will check in tomorrow,

Hi Lori. I had a busy weekend and didn't get in any execise. I was busy helping my parents move, took my son to the playground, etc. So I was active as least. I"m down 1 lb - I know it is better then nothing but I guess that I expected more. Today is another one of those days where I don't think I'm going to have time to fit in a workout. Right after work I'm going to my parents house to visit my brother who is in from CT. Depending on when I get home I may get in a quick 30 min on the elliptical or do Push/Pull since it is a shorter DVD. I did get my walk in at lunch.

Hello everyone:

I was the one last week who posted the "My Motivation is Shot" topic. So I'm going to try and stick to what I write on here as far as getting back into the exercise thing again. I did go on Saturday to the Body Bar class (although I kept looking at the clock). Tonight I'm going to the step class or the body bar class haven't decided yet. There are two main instructors at the gym and they are both great (no Cathe though) one is a bit more faster and motivating than the other but she has a tendency to get started late and talk to friend (who sets up right beside her always) during the warm-up and sometimes the workout. It's very annoying. The motivating one is teaching body bar but I know I need the cardio. What to do, what to do. It is very rainy and yucky here so it's going to be very hard for me to not want to stay home. I'm taking it one day at a time and plan it that way so if I don't do something that was on my list I'm not going to feel bad. I hope everyone has a great rest of the day.

Hi Girls,
Kim I am glad you joined us! I know it is hard to get back into the swing of things again.Everything takes time.I have to say though, that when I have taken time off (normally b/c of vacation)I am itching to get back into it.I miss it when I don't do it, but there are lots of days when I could care less about working out.
Today was a bad day for me.And yesterday wasn't the best.Tomorrow I start off clean. I went to my moms house with my sister.We bought a cake for my mom b/c it is her birthday soon, so I was eating cake 10 0'clock last night;( Then today while we were playing scrabble I had some chips.I did pretty good with dinner but I had two naughty cookies.I did workout but it was just 10-10-10.All in all....I did have a bad day.
I love going to my parents house when my sister is home b/c it seems like your on holidays.They live in a small community,with alot of older people around.Except for my brother who lives next door with 3 small kids.I get bored when I go out by myself but I love it when my sister is home.
My sides are sore from yesterdays ab workout.But thats it.I figured with all those step ups something would be sore!
I still haven't heard anything back from Beach Body and my visa hasn't been charged.Weird.
Tomorrow is cardio.... and lots of it! I may work legs to.

Hi Lori, Kimbra, and Dana,

It's going to be a hectic week due to the start of Red Ribbon Week festivities. Every day this week I have schools wanting me to do classroom presentations on saying no to drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. While I love this part of my job and working with the kids, it can burn me out to be 'on' for so many days in a row.

So I'm easing up this week on the workouts to compensate for being tired. I'm doing the Timesaver workouts all this week and may tack on another circuit workout at the end of the week depending on how I'm feeling.

Monday: Timesaver #1
Tuesday: Timesaver #4

I'm also really disappointed and a little concerned that I won't be eligible for a flu shot this year. Since I travel around to so many different schools I inevitably come in contact with sick children. Every year I've taken the shot I've avoided the flu, every year I've passed on the shot, I've gotten really ill. I'm hoping that some miracle will happen and the flu shot will become more readily available or my HMO will start providing the nasal flu vaccine thing.

Kimbra- Just take it one day at a time. Next thing you know, you've completed your goal for the week. Have fun a your class.

Lori- A couple of cookies and some chips. I've definitely got you beat as far as bad eating choices over the past few days. Me likes me some chocolate!!!!

Hi everyone! Yesterday was not a good day. I felt completely wiped out after I got home so I did nothing. LOL Today I"m off to a much better start - I've been eating healthy, took my walk and I'm planning on doing ME tonight.

Sounds like everyone as had a pretty good day so far. I had to work at 6:30 a.m today and I never got the catch to workout between jobs.So I have to workout tonight.When I got home at 5 I took a nap though.That should get me through my run.
I found a really hard run in my Shape Mag.At times I will be going 9 miles an hour.Prehaps this is what I need to break out of my plateau.
Eating was alot better today.I had two cookies tonight with my coffee.I had intended on only having one but they are so good! My sister bought them online.They are called Tim Tams.They are made in Australia.You can get them in the States though.You bite off both ends of the cookie, then you dip the cookie in your coffee and suck the coffee up through the cookie.The cookie desolves and melts in your mouth! They are to die for.
I didn't feel to good about myself when I got up today.I weighed and it wasn't good.It really shows when you aren't eating right.
Thats about all for me.I am going to get ready to workout now.I may even do Legs and Glutes after my run.That should really fry my legs.

Good Morning Ladies,
How is everyone doing? I did my run last night and it was a tough one! There were 3 different runs listed and I did 2 of them.I started with 32 min of my normal run, then I went into the high intervals.It was a good run.I did 1/2 of L&G after.I may do the other half today.It was 10:30 by the time I finished.
I started my morning off with a ww english muffin,with a little bit of peanut butter.I am thinking about heading to the mall soon and grabbing a new journal to write things down in.I would also like to grab a couple more christmas gifts.I am doing a pretty good with the gifts.I am probably half way there:)
I am not sure what todays workout is going to be.Should I finish L&G or move on to UB? And should I do another hard run or just steady aerobics?

Hi!!! Last night I did ME - I've been feeling really tired lately and it took all I had to finish it. My eating was ok - but I did make homemade mac-n-cheese which took me over my points for the day. So far today has been going well w/the eating. Seems like when I get home from work is when I go down hill. I just took a walk and I"m not sure what I'm going to do tonight. I was thinking of doing my own thing, using the elliptical, a couple of rounds of leg presses and an ab marathon followed by a stretch. That way my son can watch Spongebob while I'm on the elliptical. I may change my mind when I get home though.

Lori those cookies sound wonderful!!!

I"m going to a meeting on Friday and I think I"m going to do some Christmas shopping afterwards. I live in a rural area where there aren't many places to shop and my meeting is in Harrisburg so there is plenty shopping there. I want to go to Dick's Sporting Goods while I"m down there, I saw that they have 45lb dumbbells on sale for around $17 (I want to get one for leg presses), I also want to get a set of 25lb dumbbells and one of the racks that hold dumbbells.

I am feeling alittle lazy myself now. I did S,J&P today but I replaced the floor aerobics with running on the treadmill.I was beat though.I think last night run did me in!
Eating as been pretty good so far today.45Lbs for legs presses...ouch!

Yesterday was a run (outside).Normally we go for 60 min but we had to cut it a little shorter b/c we had to go to work.
Eating as been o.k. I need to get a system down.Weither it be WW,BFL...something.Im one of those prople who as to be on some sort of set program.When I was at my lightest (in the last couple of years) I did the low fat thing.And I ate alot of carbs.Funny....now they suggest you stay away from carbs, but thats when I looked and felt my best.It all boils down to calories.
I am not sure what the workout will be today.Some sort of cardio and maybe UB.

Hi everyone,

I've been having a very hectic week at work and have started to feel really run down (hence, I haven't been checking in). Here's what I've been up to since Tuesday.

W- nada. Was exhausted and felt like I was coming down with a cold.
Th- nada. Same as above.
F- Didn't have to be at work super early so slept in. Then did Timesaver #2 which just about killed me. Definitely have a cold.

I'm hoping that if I lighten up the weights I can complete the Timesaver DVD this week and do workouts 3 and 5 tomorrow and Sunday. We'll see how it goes and how I'm feeling.
