3 full body workouts per week?

I wanted to get some opinions on this.I am thinking about doing 3 full body workouts per week for the next 4 weeks. Most of her full body workouts aren't REALLY hard.I could probably go light on one, heavy with another and comfy with one. What results do you think I will get? Thinking of using PP,SS,PH,ME,and even circuit workouts.
Thanks,
Lori

Hi Lori! I spent the three weeks prior to this last week doing an S&H rotation so thought I'd switch for the next three weeks. So this is what I did this past week:

Sunday - ME
Monday - IMAX2
Tues - ME
Wednesday - Step Blast
Thursday - ME
Friday - Circuit Max
Saturday - KPC
Sunday - off

Next week I was going to do the same kind of routine except use PH. And then the third week switch to PP or SS. This felt really good after doing S&H and I wasn't sore. In fact I was surprised at how energetic I was! Anyway, I was going to do this kind of routine for 3 weeks then go to a PS rotation. So in answer to your question, I think it's fine!

As far as results, I'm not sure, but the change is good! :) :)

Thanks Jo, This looks Great!

I'm gonna do your version with a lil swapping of the days to break up the weights to every other day! KPC on Fri then Circuit max Sat!
Sunday - ME
Monday - IMAX2
Tues - ME
Wednesday - Step Blast
Thursday - ME
Friday - KPC
Saturday - Circuit Max
Sunday - off

Thanks for the response.I am just in the mood to try something different.I normally "try" to follow a rotation but it doesn't work very well.I figure I could do cardio and weights on the days when I have more time and I will just do cardio on my busy days.I know it will be a heavy work load but I am trying to drop 5-10 lbs before christmas. With a clean diet and some good workouts I should get there.
This is what I was thinking:
Mon-Run (45-70 min) PH (Normal Weight)
Tues- Cardio
Wed-Cardio and PP(heavy Weights)
Thurs-Cardio
Fri-Cardio and ME (Lighter weights)
Sat-Cardio
Sun-OFF

I could sub one of the 2 hour days for a circuit workout and go heavy with the weights.

Hi Lori:

I just read your rotation.. you go, girl!!

I have done a rotation similiar to yours.. I found that my days that were similiar to your Monday and Friday just left me totally exhausted.

What I liked a whole lot better and felt like I could focus better was on the day I ran (your Monday) was to do upper body only. Your legs are going to be worked that day already, so I would suggest going w/ heavy weights but only do upper body that day...If you have the DVD of PH or ME just do the upper body split.

Then, on your Friday workout, do your cardio ( maybe do a kickboxing since it won't be so much high impact force on your legs) and then do the corresponding lower body workout from the endurance workout you did on Monday. Lift heavy that day as well.

I think you would get more benefits going as heavy as you can each time you lifted even if you do split up upper and lower body than lightening your weight up on your Friday day.

Personally I find lifting light weights particularly in an endurance workout isn't going to fatigue the muscles enough to make any strides. Better to go hard as you can every time.

Good luck and keep us posted on how you do!

Take care, Lynn M.

Thanks Lynn.Thats a good idea.I could do PH and ME upper body and then save legs for Wed or Fri.I don't have the dvd's so rewinding and fastforwarding will be a pain. But oh well.My plan was to work all body parts 3 times a week.
I didn't put any kickboxing into my rotation b/c I don't like it.I do it sometimes...but not very often.I was actually thinking of not ordering the Hard Core series kickboxing but its cheaper if I order them as a box set(something else I need to do today).
I have done a few days like my mondays and fridays but probably not enough times in a row for it to wear me out.
I also thought about the going light thing to.I figured it would be nice if my muscles were sore but I don't really want to waste time either. If I am going to work out,I want to feel it!
Thanks for the great advice,
Lori:)
