3 Fat Chicks

OK, could someone help me figure out how I can get my personal weight loss tracker from this website to my signature?

I have chosen the tracker, then it looks like it's a matter of copying and pasting one of the codes. The problem I'm having is that it shows up as the code and not my goofy little tracker.

If anyone could help this dummy in a few short steps that would be great.

Hopelessly stuck,

Go to "Forums" on the site, then one of the options is "3FC Features", then you'll see "Personal Weight Loss Tracker".

Come on Allwildgirl, do it with me! Help me! It's one of those things that I can't give up on...I know my IQ is at least high enough to do this!

O.K., I think I figured it out!! When you paste the link into the signature, delete the first half right up to the (image border) part....where is says that in parenthesis. See if that works for you.

You're almost there! Just delete all the stuff you see above your little picture, but delete it in the place where you pasted your link....in the signature area of your profile in user menu. Keep trying!

Hi Dani,

You're such a sport to hang in there with me! Believe it or not, I have a college degree.

Here we go....

When I made mine - I copied and pasted the first one that they give you - the one that say that works for the 3chicks forum, and the pasted to this site. Then to clean it up - you just delete the first line of text up to the http://www.3fatchicks.com/weight.... and it worked. :)

Yikes, Anne, I don't remember which one I copied. I think it was the universal one.

Don't worry about the intelligence factor. You HAVE to be smart to be a Cathe-ite;-) This is just trial and error. So many times things seems so simple...once I get them! I still don't think I totally have this one becaue I have that funny little square with the shapes in it. I can't quite figure out what that is or how to get rid of it.

Dani - just delete the <img> in front of it and you will get rid of that part...

And if it makes anyone feel better - I am the IT director (computer geek) for my company and it took me a few tries.... :)

This shouldn't be so hard.

Do you copy the entire code at the 3Fatchicks sight, then build a post here, paste the copy in THEN delete part of the code?

Does this mean that every time you post you have to copy and paste or am I missing something?

Arggggggh

Oooohhh, no, that would be waaaay too hard!

I actually openend two browser windows. One at the Fat Chick site and one with Cathe. In the Cathe site, go to the Forums start page. At the very top there is "User Menu", click on that. This will bring up all YOUR stuff. Click on "Edit Profile". Scroll all the way down this page and at the very bottom is "Signature". This is where you will PASTE your html code from the Fat Chick site.

I believe that I used the last option of the three...the ezCode, but I could be wrong. That is what I highlighted, cut, and then pasted into the other browser window already at the Cathe forum profile page, in the Signature section at the bottom.

Then click "Update". Go right back to the thread we have going on this and see what comes up. This is where I began to delete parts of the html code to get rid of the link that kept showing up. I deleted it from the Edit Profile/Signature part, exactly where I pasted it. HTML is kind of tricky, but it is almost something that once your eyes sort of adjust to looking at it, the code will start to make sense in a way.

Go have fun and let's see how well I explained this. I hope I didn't make things more confusing:p

OK - when you build it on the 3chicks.com - it give you 3 options to copy and paste the code. Just pick the first one that says it works for their 3chicks site and highlight and copy all of the data.

Then on this site - goto 'user menu' and then 'edit your profile' - and in the area that says "signature" - paste the 3chicks text. You can always then come back to this thread and check to see if the base is there - it wont be clean - there will be the extra text around it - but then at least you know it works. You then need to highlight and delete all the text from the beginning up to and including the <img>. This will leave you with something that looks like...

http://www.3fatchicks.com/weight.....

Then you can just come back to this thread or any thread that you have posted to - and it will show up...

I hope that helps....

Ok, I HAD to try this... Its so cute..Now, when you lose weight, do you have to go back and make a new one, or "update"?
