~<3 ~ CHEETAHS enabling WEDNESDAY ~<3~

Cathlete
Whew, finally found a round-tuit and a little time to post sumpin’ to me Cheetah buds…No Road Trip for me as I think I’ve stretched the limits plenty with Maui and Chicago.

Lorie – I hope you’re feeling better. You just HAVE to sign up for Chicago! c’mon, whaddaya waitin’ for? lol.

Cathy – What a relief to get that grading out of the way, huh? Way to go recruiting another Chicago runner. We really have to work on Wendy now…lol….cuz Shelly says she’ll do Chicago if Wendy wants to switch. Oh, yeah, if you’re not real crazy about Galloway’s plans, take a peek at halhigdon.com and check out some of his schedules. Also keep in mind you can tweak any of the plans to suit your schedule – I do. I have to because my running buddy is an ER Nurse and gets every other Saturday off which means we have to play around with the long run schedule. Hope you get the ITB issue under control before the long runs start up cuz I know first hand it ain’t no picnic. Don’t you just hate my slang? lol. Makes ya wanna get out the red pen, huh…lol.

Christine! - I’m echoing Cathy’s sentiments about your last post of Kimo! Awe, I’m so happy she’s better. I absolutely cannot stand to hear sad animal stories. Let’s hope your home cookin’ will help keep Miss Kimo feeling better too. As for Jimmie? My dear, I think you created that monster - spoiled dogs – I know all about it, lol!

Judy – Welcome back! I love to watch the deer that wander our property often. I actually have some cool pics of a few of them drinking from the pond. Oh, and so cool about your DH and the work-outs.

Wendy lou – Welcome back and sounds like ya’ll had a great time in Florida. YES, you can run a full marathon – trust me! You’re in great physical shape – perfect for beginning a training program and 26 isn’t much more than 18. You just have to believe you can do it! And besides, Shelly says she’ll go to Chicago if you want…yeeessuh! That even leaves you open for plan B of the marathon where you could hook up to Shelly with a baby leash the last 6 or so miles if needed. It’s sort of like if we convince you to join us we’ll get 2 cheetahs for the enabling of 1!…lol. Ok, there’s my enabling speech of the day…lol.

Carole – I love the pyramids! I can’t wait to get the new stuff. I decided that before the STS comes out, I’m going to go through my DVD’s (including Cathe) and sell the ones I’m not using on Ebay. There is no sense in keeping them if I don’t use them and I hardly use the step anymore as I prefer running and spinning for cardio. Anyhoo, selling the unused DVD’s should give the Posh some extra shopping cash for Chicago…lol.

Jackie – I hope you make it to Chicago! C’mon! you just HAVE to book it! lol..Good Luck with your 5K this weekend. I’m doing one with a group from work on Sunday. We won’t be looking for PR’s though as some of the group are newbie runners and we plan on staying together somewhat to encourage the others to finish. It is a 5K to benefit a scholarship fund set up in memorial of a fallen Rocklin police officer, Matt Redding, who was on the scene of an accident a few years ago and was killed by a stupid drunk driver blazing past the scene. Always fun to run for a good cause.

Dallas – Stop worrying and telling yourself “IF” it doesn’t go well. You’re another cheetah in fine, fabulous, fit shape that can easily build to the marathon – you just have to BELIEVE you can do it! You’re going to do the full marathon! I do agree that you’ll benefit from outdoor running – at least the long run. If you signed with TNT don’t you have a group that trains together like one week day evening and one weekend morning? When I ran my marathons with TNT, I was only able to drive down and run for the weekend long run with the group and then did the other runs on my own or with a friend throughout the week. You should have a team running coach and you’ll get a schedule – at least we did – that has 3 levels to choose mileage/distance from: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. I usually stayed with the intermediate. Also, you should be having a Mentor assigned to you that will give you info on the “kick-off” and up coming workshops TNT sponsors for the team members. Workshops like shoe-clinic that tells the importance of properly fitted shoes, injury prevention and good nutrition, etc. Also, there will be fund raising workshops as well. I’m starting to figure out my Chicago training schedule using advice/tips from my former TNT running coach and a blend of TNT/Hal Higdon running schedules. I do know it is important to include REST days, lots of stretching and definitely include core work. Proper nutrition and hydration is a must as well. Anyway, I just thought I’d write this small essay for you since I believe you asked me a few days ago about my training/coach experience with TNT and I know Cathy following me with the red pen..lol. Oh, and PS, don’t listen to the opinion of your neighbors about how many 5 or 10 Ks you’ve done because that is irrelevant. I’ve seen so many never-run-before people train with TNT and cross the dang finish line – You’re gonna do great, Dallas! GO TEAM! …LOL

Shelly – Awe, sorry you had to have the gloom and doom with the realtor. Good thing you can still get a good price though. And WOW I hope we can convince Wendy to come to Chicago because that would get us Cheetahs an easy win with you and that would be 2 Cheetahs for the price of 1 enabling! LOL….all my wishful thinking….

Wendi – WOW, you’re really tearing up the pavement out there! Where do you see the infomercials for P90X or whatever it is? I’m not interested in buying; I just want to see what everyone talks about. I think your plan of crashing the GTG is a good one for you cheetahs that are closer to NJ. Hope you girls can come up with something.

Linda – OH I hope you get to go to Chicago! Tell DH you have to decide soon because things are booking up…lol. Also, if you’ve run 2 half marathons, then you CAN do a full. Like I’ve been preaching all over the post tonight – you’re in great shape and will have no problems doing the marathon! So c’mon! whaddaya waiting for? book today! LOL…

Ok, I’m sure ya’ll have had enough of my Chicago enabling antics so I better log out of here and get to bed as it is now close to 1 am PST – but I don’t have to get up until 7:30 am PST….sweet.. I’ll get in 6.5 hours of shut-eye…..I guess I’ll post this for the Wednesday Cheetahs since after all it technically IS Wednesday! LOL

Gm, cheetahs! :) :) :)

I read through yesterday's thread but do not have time for full personals this morning, sorry. (I will catch up this evening, I promise.) However, ditto to everything Posh said! :7

For those still on the bubble for Chicago, we'll train safe, we'll train smart, but most importantly, we'll train (and run) TOGETHER! What a great accomplishment for us first-timers to share with our cheetah friends--the people who "get it" like no one else does! And the fact that some are coming just to support others--it gives me chills. This is a *PHENOMENAL* group of women we have here. There is no way I would be THIS pumped if I were running it solo. Warm fuzzies everywhere!!! :7 MWAH! :*

Oh, and Posh, I love your slang! Not a red pen in sight. :)

Better get moving. I crashed last night, so this afternoon's workout will be a doubler: 35 min. run plus a kb workout TBD.

Have a kick-butt Wednesday! Will catch up later!

Good Morning Cheetah Babes!:+

This afternoon's work out plan is this: PUB back + 5-10 mins Jump Snap + PUB Biceps + 5-10 mins Jump Snap + Ab Work. I'm trying to find creative ways to use JS. :)

Not much else goin' on here...Gotta work this morning-BLECH! LOL

I will be back later on!:7

Hello Friends :)

I am enjoying a nice cup or morning brew. After some long hard thinking yesterday. I canceled the Europe trip with DS. Considering that I have not been very relaxed about the traveling I have done the past 4 months, I was not looking forward to a hectic travel schedule all summer long. We have a a family wedding in Detroit in August also, and I did not want to arrive home from Eurpoe and re pack to drive to Detroit. DS agreed with me, and he will have other opportunities.

Shelly- DS's camp in Philli' is July 6-9. As soon as I get more details I'll share with you. Maybe Cathy and Wendy a can meet us too! We will have to send Cathe a heads up to inqurie as to if she is actually teaching or not that week.

Posh- I do believe you are a night owl! That was a lot of thinking for 1am! Also, your post made me smile.

Wendy- no worries. Post when you feel like it. :) Are you still on track to start NROL4W? It will be fun to have another person to compare notes with. Stage one workouts are short. But I am going as heavy as I can.

Christine- how did the 1 miler go with DD?

Jackie- where are you in the moving process?

Yesterday I hopped on the TM to do a 1 mile Warm up run before tackling NROL and I ended up doing a nice moderately challenging 5k. I kept the pace on the "fast manageable side" (almost uncomfortable) with some variations every minute or 2 increasing and decreasing slightly.

Today should be a steady state out door run.

i ended up calling in sick today because i am STILL nauseous! i think i have some sort of stomach bug...:-( :-( :-(

wt-i am leaning towards august as well. if you don't actually go, you HAVE TO crash!!!

christine-poor jimmy being alone and pacing! he misses his family. so glad to hear kimo is on the mend. i know many people who only feed their dogs home cooked meals.

judy-that's greast about dh starting to lift and work out. i could never get xdf to work out with me. he likes to go to his gym and i like to "go" to mine! i love seeing deer. we have them around here, but they generally stay out of sight. at the sanctaury i went to, the deer are pretty used to people and we were able to pet and feed them. it was awesome!

wendy-i know others have already told you this, but i don't think you "need" an 18 miler to psych your self up for the marthon. imho, if you're running 18, just go for the full marathon. it's so much fun and it really is something you can do. it's 90% mental. i believe almost anyone can run and finish a marathon. i just think you would really enjoy the experience of running with other cheetahs for your first mary...especially since it will be so many others' first. i am REALLY thinking about signing up. as for the rt, if you don't go, i sure hope you crash it!!!

carole-so sorry you got stuck in atlanta! i understand you wanting to give others the chance to go but i know you will be missed!!!

jackie-i probably have some kind of stomach bug. who knows?! i hate those early meetings! i hate having to be at work at an EXACT time. normally, if i am 5, 10 minutes late, no biggie but when i have those meetings, not only do i have to wake up earlier and get to work about 40 minutes earlier than i would normally, i also have to be ON TIME! amazing time on your run. you are going to blow them away at your race on saturday!

dallas-either date will work for me but i am leaning towards august because it seems like more people i "know" are going then. so you liked magically hips? you know i'm an eoin fan!

shelly-that's great that at least you can crash along with wendy and cathy! i really hope i get in! sorry for the gloom and doom realtor report.

wendi-i did tackle a steady state on the EXT as i had taken something for the nausea, but it wore off soon after. :-( it would be GREAT to meet you on the rt!!!

linda-no, this would be my frist rt. i would really like to go. i'd also like to do chicago. not sure i can swing both (although chicago is around my bday, so i could ask for cash...). i would really like to go on the rt, meet cathe and everyone. i think it would be a blast!

posh-i am DEFINTELY keeping chicago in mind!!! i totally agree with everything you said about running a marathon.

if this nausea medicine kicks in and i start to feel better, i might try and tackle my new eoin's. can you believe i got them on saturday and haven't even done them yet?!?! i miss my yoga!

Judy: Yeah, the PLAN is to start NROL after my May 4th HM. I am enjoying my break from doing a rotation AND from doing heavy lifting if I'm not in the mood so hopefully I will feel refreshed and ready to commit to NROL when the time comes. :) Sorry you cancelled your Europe trip but I can definately understand your reasoning behind it. I would not want to have to come home and immediately re-pack for another trip either. Glad DS is in agreement with you as well.

Cathy-n-Posh: There is certainly some heavy Chicago enabling going on around here, ey? :7 The fact of the matter is that I am just not ready to commit to a full mary at this point. You know I would LOVE to come out and hang with the Cheetahs and join in on the moral support and :* warm fuzzies :* that will be flying and I am quite sad that I have conflicting plans BUT this 18 miler is something I feel I need to do. If I let it slide this year, the opportunity will not be back until NEXT October and that is when I have my sites set on a full mary. Now if I chicken out of the 18 miler for any reason I will certainly do my best to get my Cheetah arse out to Chicago to hang with the pack!:) You know I love you all but I feel in my gut that this is the right decision for me at this time.

Shelly: I read your post y'day about the 18 miler and Chicago. I sooo appreciate your willingness to run with and support me and I know we'd have a blast together but if you just can't handle the Chicago enabling, please know that you may bow out of the 18 miler gracefully. I would feel badly if I kept you from Chicago when you really wanted to go.

Good morning Cheetah babes!

Super duper quickie fly by...I'm late to work. Will catch up tonight. Did SJP/SB Step, Hi/Lo and Weights (85 minute)...awesome calorie burner, kept my HR up the entire time.

Hasta luego!

Just a quick post to my Cheetah Girls! Life has been CRAZY busy. My work is moving to another office in the next few days, DS is busy with T-ball, DH will be traveling for work off and on for the next 3 weeks, and I'm STILL injured. However, I have missed my Cheetah Girls. I must confess, I have not worked out at all for the past 3 weeks (hangs my head in shame). I've been having a pity party since I have been injured. I plan to change all of that. Today I will be doing ME Upper Body and some leg exercises my doctor gave me to rehabilitate my knee. My doctor thinks my problem is actually weak abductor muscles that is contributing to my knee issues.

Wow there is a lot of Chicago enabling going on here. :) :) I'm sold. I'll be a cheerleader. Last night I told DH I wanted to go to both the RT and Chicago. However, after some thought, I only want to go to Chicago so I can meet everyone more than I want to go on the roadtrip.

Well, sorry this is so short. WAVES to all my Cheetahs!! I'll try to come back later for personals. I have a lot of catching up to do, but work is calling me to get my butt in gear.

Quickie post...

Posh, you're the best!!! :D Yeah, lots of doubt here. The kick off is May 3 or whatever that first Sat. is. Everything you said about TNT is true. It will good for me to be assigned both a coach and a mentor. :) Thanks for your words of wisdom. :):*

Cathy ~ You're right that's why I'm so excited to do this with another newbie...even if you gals have to drag me to the finish line. LOL!! Have you made an appt. yet?

Wendy ~ You'll get back on track. It's always hard before you leave and when you come back from vacation. YOu'll do great on your 18 miler!!! :)

Shelly ~ So sorry to hear the meeting did not go well with the realtor. :( Quick question for you - a guy who sits right next to DH has shingles. Is there anything preventative that we can do? Are DH's chances high he'll develop it?

Wendi ~ Way to go on your run y-day!!! Yeah, not my fav workout (Core Syn), but it works. I can feel it today. }(

Lorie ~ I hope you feel better really soon. (((HUGS))) I like Eionn too.

Linda ~ lol'd at your comment about actually working at work. I must be missing that one issue now because I looked though my stack. Nice workouts y-day!

Judy ~ I bet your relieved to free up some of your summer time.

Jackie ~ What's your plan today? ANything new on the house?

Oops, I have to run DS5 has a FT and I haven't showered yet. We're seeing Aladdin. I got 5 miles on the treadmill, varying my speeds w/some intervals. I'd like to get some weight work in when I get back.

Hi to the rest of the CHeetahs! I'll finish personals later...

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Kimo continues to improve, so I’m happy. I made some dog food last night, and she gobbled it up like she had died and gone to heaven. :p DD15 and I STILL have not run together! My work get crazy and I did not get out of work until 4:00 and I had a bunch of errands to run, including signed DD15 up for a martial arts class. So she’s busy, as well. But we’ll get one in sometime. Perhaps today! No more promises. :p It’s a cardio day today for me. I’m not sure what I’ll do.

Wendy – I think a break from exercising is really good for us. Glad you had such a good time in Florida! You need to do what is right for you on the Road Trip. I’d rather spend the money on a Cheetah GTG anyway. :p And Chicago – you’re coming so well with your running, that you obviously know what you need to do. But we’ll miss having you there!! How’d Clyde handle the boarding? I gave Kimo a big belly rub for you and she loved it!

Carole – I would love you to dogsit Jimmy. I wouldn’t need doggie day care with you around! :p I do know there is no half that weekend in Chicago. I want to go to cheer on my friends. That’s all! :p Well, and hang out with some pretty special people!

Jackie – Prayer does have power! I’m so happy for Kimo and Jimmy. Oh have fun with your 5k race this weekend!!

Dallas – I love Magically Hips – it relaxes muscles I didn’t know where tight! Gla you enjoyed it! I wasn’t aware that Oprah ran a good time, either. Amazing, actually. I actually like Core Synergistic. I think I’m masochist sometimes… :+

Shelly – Good news on getting at least a decent profit. And you’ll also have the upper hand in buying a place. Well, the big difference between my ITR and a run is that I do ITR, then run ONE mile. You do ITR and run 6 HILLY miles. You Da Woman!

Wendi – So good to hear you so happy about running again! Sounds like a great plan for crashing! Wish I could go! Enjoy your circuit today!

Linda - Oh I’m sure you can run a marathon! You’ll do well! I’m a little tempted, but I just know myself – I’m not focused enough to really train well for a full.

Thomasina – Maui and Chicago – interesting combination. :p I was reading in Runner’s World that Lance Armstrong is following a NEW schedule for running, and it calls for a long run every other week. I’m so happy Kimo is better! Yeah, I know I created a monster with JimDog. But he’s so sweet and loving… :+

Cathy – you crack me up! Of course I’m coming out. The East Coast is a little tough, but Chicago is totally doable! You had me laughing with your PM last night. It was just getting out of hand.

Jackie – Sounds like you made the right decision for you and your family then about Europe. I didn’t realize it was most of the summer. That would be tough!

Lorie – Oh, I hope you’re feeling better soon!!! I hate having stomach flues!!!! home made meals for dogs isn’t as bad as I had feared. Jimmy still gets some kibble, but it’ll be supplemented with the same stuff Kimo gets.

Kristi – always happy to hear from you when you get a chance to post! And I can certainly understand the desire to “hide and lick your wounds” when you’re injured. It’s so tough and frustrating! YEAH!!! You can come and cheer with Carole and me!!! This is turning into quite the GTG!!!

Well it’s time to pretend I want to go to work! I was so busy last yesterday – too busy to eat! I actually prefer that. I hope it does not get boring today again. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning cheetahs

Posh...I think it would be good to get rid of some unused DVD's for extra spending money in Chicago!! I am not an Ebay fan at all so I keep all my dvd's and VHS's...weird?...yeah...:)...I have always loved the pyramids as before I started using Cathe's weight workouts I did my own style of pyramid weight lifting. I AGREE with your post to Dallas....I do understand though how contemplating your 1st mary can be a bit scary...:)

Cathy...loved your post! I think Chicago will be so fun and it will be fun to meet up with some more cheetahs and cheetah friends and family.

Wendy...good job with ITread yesterday. One of my fav moments from the RT last year was when Heather saw you and Cathy....OMG, the scream!! You 2 must have been red for a few minutes...I do understand your feelings about not going to the RT. It sure is not for everyone, and I don't feel bad at all for not going this year. Sounds like a fun PUB/JS mish mosh.

Judy...sorry you had to cancel your Europe trip, I can see how traveling a lot can be tough. Enjoy your steady state run.

Lorie...sorry you are still sick...yuk! yeah it was a mess last year but fun once I finally got to the hotel, a day late. I learned I won't ever get a connecting flight from Atlanta again...:)

Christine...So happy to hear Kimo is doing well. Thanks...I would have a blast with Jimmy...:D...So are you planning on being in Chicago Sat to Mon that weekend? Have fun with your cardio today.

Dallas...so are you still planning on the RT? So your DS starts kindergarten this coming fall? I bet it is tough watching them go that 1st day...Good job with Core Syn...bow to boat is right. I don't remember if superman to banana is in that one but I always loved it! Good job with 5 miles today.

Kristi...weak quads can also contribute to knee problems. Hope your knee is better soon! I would love to meet you in Chicago. I will be cheering most likely...

Shelly...sounds like a nice hilly run yesterday. Glad the realtor's did not give you too much of a gloomy report. When will you list your house?

Wendi..great 5 mile run yesterday!! I think that would be great if some of you crashed the RT!! Funny..I think KPC was harder on my upper body as I use 1.5 lb hand weights and feel it in my shoulders.

Linda...way to go with 5.5 miles and your GS workout.

I am doing PUB chest, leg curls & extensions and a 3 mile run.

Have a great day...:)

Good morning Cheetahs!

Dallas - Are you having a good recovery week? Never understood why that was a recovery week because CS is hard. I still felt like I was working hard. Will not be making the RT because of the new house. Enjoy Aladdin. Good job with the 5 miles.

Wendy - I understand your feelings on attending the RT. I'm not an outgoing person either. I did attend a Firm trip and really enjoyed it. Know you would do fine too. Want to hear another review from you on Jump Snap. Hope it's a good workout.

Shelly - Nice job on the hill run yesterday. The housing market is not the greatest right now in some areas. I hope you can get what you need out of your house.

Wendi - Awesome time on your run yesterday! Sounds like you're back and in rare form.

Linda - Sounds like quite a few Cheetahs have conflicting plans with the RT. Good workout yesterday for you. How is DD and the kids?

Posh - Good luck with your 5K this weekend too. It's nice that you will be running as a group. And, it's a great cause too. The one I'm participating in is for an elementary school. I'll have to see what my mind and body thinks about training for a marathon. I'll pull them to the side in a bit and have a pow wow. :9

Cathy - Like your comments about training for the marathon. This is a great bunch of women. Enjoy your double header today.

Judy - Sorry you had to cancel your trip to Europe. Traveling can wear you out. Hate those turnaround trips. The rest of the cabinets have started going in and the granite tops are scheduled to go on today. Once those are complete, the bathroom floor can get finished. Then the final touch ups can start. The plumber and electrician are trying to finish up too. I think I'll shoot for a closing date of April 30 if all goes well this week.

Lorie - Hope the day off brings healing your way. I know what you mean about having a set time to be at work. I like having the flexibilty of getting to work around 7'ish and leaving when I'm ready. When is school out for you and how is Linus?

Kristi - Always good to see you post. You're earning that title of Super Mom Cheetah. Sorry you're having a pity party but it sounds like you're ready to do something about it.

Christine - Glad to hear Kimo is continuing to improve. Hope things slow down for you today. Is DD excited about doing her first run?

Carole - Nice of you to want to give others a chance to attend the RT. I did plie squats with a 25# db and added my ankle weights to go a little heavier. I rarely sell any of my workouts either. I have given some away. Guess you build a nice library like that. Have a good workout.

I did 4DS KB& Legs. Love this workout!

Well, the phone has been ringing off the hook while I'm trying to post. Better get back to work. Have a wonderful day! The temps are supposed to rise again. Yippee!!

Jackie

Good morning lovely cheetahs! I actually had a horrible night I'm afraid. This visit with the realtors yesterday upset me alot:(
It actually had nothing to do with the current housing market and our property value. Where we live there are lots of high end houses around with all sorts of fancy upgrades. When we moved here I did alot of the work myself because our finances were tight at the time.
We had no money for fancy upgrades but I did what I could. I think we have a nice house anyway. Anyway, these 2 realtors had barely a good word to say about our house but carried on plenty about how nice others were!! I feel my lovely home is nothing but a pile of garbage and I cried alot last night! Well, I'll try another one and see if I can find one who is at least a little positive about my home. Thanks for listening to my rant!

Thomasina- Another early morning novel from out dear Posh! You make me laugh with your leash comments!! I'm really just more pig headed then fast I'm afraid! The honest to god truth is I would prefer to run the 18 miler with Wendy and later do the Philly marathon in Nov.
It works out better with my schedule. I told Wendy I would go to Chicago with her if she changed her mind because I didn't want to hold her back on my account. She is wisely sticking to what works for her so we will all be running together in spirit!! That will be a fun posting day afterwards yes???? I so look forward to reading the progress of the Chicago marathoners in their training!

Wendi- Awesome hill run for you yesterday!!!!! WTG :7 :7 :7
I attended the Fri morning class last year and had a wonderful time.
It is a much more relaxed atmosphere and you'll be able to meet other RTers. I'd like to do this again this year in fact.... so hopefully I'll be joining you!

Cathy- Ah, a nice shelly style crazy double workout????}( }( }(
How is the knee/ITB?

Wendy- Hey foxy cheetah! I know you've posted this before but I'm intrigued with this Jump Snap thingy.... can you provide a link to where I can find out more about it.

Judy- I have penciled in the July 6-9 period.... I am SO excited at the prospect of a GTG at Cathe's I sure hope she is teaching then!!
Nice 5k TM run!!! Good decision to forgo Europe this year. It'll still be there when your ready! ;-)

Lorie- My that is one stubborn GI virus!!! I HATE feeling nauseaus!
I'd rather just puke and get it over with! Sorry to be a tad graphic! Sending healing vibes your way!!

Dallas- Tell DH to relax!! Not a thing to worry about re: Shingles. Adults do not get shingles by contact with another person. It is actually the chickenpox virus (herpes) that most of us had as kids. It never really goes away but lives in a dormant state in our bods. With some unfortunate folks (myself included) due to factors we don't really understand it comes out of dormancy in the form of shingles and hangs around for a few weeks. It's pretty painful and thank god it has only happened to me once. Hopefully never again.

Kristi- Glad to hear you are working out again! Don't blame you for the pity party you've been having. That is all too human a reaction! You've got pluck and spirit for sure!! How nice that you'll be at Chicago to cheer on our marathoning cheetahs!!!!

Christine- Hope you get in your run today! Kimo definitely sounds like she is on the road to recovery!!!! Yay for the cotton ball!! She is one tough cookie... like my Birdy!

Carole- You inspired me with your talk of PUB yesterday. I was so distraught yesterday that even after doing ITR in the afternoon I still needed some release and I did PUB after supper going really heavy!!! We will be listing our house after we move in early May.
It's too difficult to show it while we are trying to pack, etc.

Jackie- I love the 4dsKB/legs myself. Did think much of it the first time around but I have grown to really appreciate it! How do you like those low plane lunges? }(

I think that about catches me up! Thanks again for listening to my rant! For today I'll be doing HLK and later L&G.

ShellyC

Carole – I trade my DVD’s to get the ones I want. Cheaper that way! :p Yes, I think I’ll be in Chicago Saturday through Monday. Seems like the best time – I’m sure we’ll wish bask in the after glow with the runners. :p

Jackie – Darn those customers for interrupting your posting time! :p I know how that goes… DD15 is excited. She’s really excited about her first race. I know we should start with a 5k, but this 10k is a fun one and it’s relaxed. You know – the way only santa Cruz can do. (If you’ve never been to Santa Cruz – there are reasons we have bumper stickers all over the Bay Area that say, “Keep Santa Cruz Weird”).

Shelly – Oh man, so sorry to hear about those realtors! That is horrible!! It’s a tight market with more houses up for sale than are needed, and with people who cannot afford to pay a lot of money. I would think a realtor would think your house was gorgeous because it does not have all of the expensive fancy fluff that people don’t need or even want when the market is down, but it has a series of really nice upgrades and can be priced at a hot selling point. Stupid realtors!! You do need a new one. ppbbbt* (as DD15 would say).

I ended up doing Spinervals Mental Toughness this morning. It was fun. I didn’t finish it (it’s 90 minutes), but I did most of it. Jimmy was asleep right in front of my front wheel, so I spent the entire riding feeling like I was going to run him over. :+ We’ll see what DD15’s plans are today. I HAVE to go home, so I’m going to recommend that I stop by Subway for lunch, then I come home and we run. We’ll see.

Good Afternoon Girls.

Fly-post comin' atcha'! I promised the little guy a park visit this afternoon. That being said, I need to get my arse movin' but I hope to be back later for personals!:)

I just finished my work out and it wasn't quite what I had originally intended but I'm forcing myself to just roll with it today...:p

I did CTX step and intervals cardio warm up only then went onto back work, abs and stretch.

GTG!:)

Wendy - have fun at the park! Sounds like a nice fun workout you had!

DD15 and I had ourfirst run! 1.25 miles total. We walked the last 1/2 mile. She's very fast out of the starting gate, but by the time we stopped, she was about to keel over. So as we walked back, we talked about how slower and steadier will help her run distance, and how to regulate her breathing better - she takes a breath every step - that would cause me to hyperventilate. It was great fun. She's a fun kid.

Hola, cheetahs! :7

Judy…if I’m not working, I’ll gladly meet you guys at the gym. Do understand not wanting to overdo the travel.

Wendy …oh, you know we were definitely not asking you to abandon the 18 miler to come n’ watch. If you were up to the full, then we just thought it would be cool for as many cheetahs to run together as possible. Completely understand & respect your decision, and you’ll get no more pressure from me. :7

Lorie, on the other hand… :7 I really, *really* want you to come to Chicago!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do think the third time’ll be a charm… you KNOW we will be meeting up if you make the cut for the RT…hey, how’s it going with XDF? You haven’t mentioned him much these days. Hope you feel good enough to get to your boy Eion tonight.

Wendi …killer workout…hope you had a pleasant day at work today.

Kristi…good for you for snapping out of the funk! Hope you enjoyed ME and the leg exercises…WOO-HOO!! You’re coming??? Fabulous!!!! :7 I so look forward to meeting you. Any chance you might be rehabbed in time to train for the full?

Dallas…I’m going to hold off on the appointment until I try the Pain Free exercises and talk to my chiro first. My next adjustment is Sat. and that’s when the book is set to arrive, too. So I’ll give it a week or so after that, but if it still bothers me, I’m going to make the appointment and be pro-active before the mileage builds. I’m so happy Posh pumped you up! I am still just so stoked over it all.

Christine…oh, I’m glad to hear Kimo ate well…beware the cult! *lol* How bizarre!...Funny, no matter how busy I am, I never forget to eat! Smiling at the Santa Cruz bumper stickers. Gotta love Cali!

Carole…lol about dear Heather…I don’t think I’ve ever received such an enthusiastic welcome!

Jackie…fingers crossed all goes smoothly this week. Hope that phone quieted down for you. That’s one thing I don’t miss about my old job before teaching.

Shelly…how rude of those realtors…I feel outraged on your behalf…(((HUGS)))…I’ll bet you have a perfectly lovely home, and I’m sure you’ll find a professional who’s not so snobbish. Ugh!...No, no, no, I’m afraid my double-ups are nowhere near as crazy & intense as yours. :7 Galloway’s plan at this point is pretty low-key, which is fine since March was such a sporadic workout month for me…it’s good to rebuild. I’ve gotta sit down this weekend, compare plans, and make some tweaks while it’s still early in the game. The leg feels good. We’ll see what it’s doin’ after tonight’s run.

All right, just a tad bit more play time here and then it's off to do part of EKC (previewed it--this guy looks nuts! *lol*) and my run/walk on the TM.

Have a great night!

"Do you want to feel my spatula?" Run, Fat Boy, Run

Boy, it's been non-stop here. not sure that weight work will happen. :( Have to leave to take DD to soccer practice. It's still so uncomfortable. :(

Cathy ~ Sounds like a good plan. I made an appointment for new orthotics. I wonder if I still even need them? Guess I'll find out? I'm afraid not to run in them after the last injury.

Christine ~ What a great bonding time w/DD! :) Like Core Syn. I liked it better the other day, but I don't think I'd just pop that one in on a whim. ;-)

Wendy ~ Have a fun at the park. Today would have been a great day for that here, but I had to run to Costco and get a few salad things for dinner. Hopefully tomorrow. :)

Shelly ~ Thanks so much! I'm so sorry about your house. After you have put your heart and soul into it that's not what you needed to hear. ((((HUGS)))). I really can't believe the audacity of ppl lately. UGH!

Jackie ~ Yeah, some recovery week. I had to cut it short last time. Yeah, not sure that the RT is really doable. :( I like that 4D workout you did. lol'd about your comments to Posh. How did the Pow Wow go??? ha ha

Carole ~ Actually, the more I thought about it with everything that I and my family has going on, I don't see how I can do the RT. :( One of these years!! Yep, there's superman to banana too towards the end. Was still struggling with that, but did better. :) Nice worouts today!

Kristi ~ YEAH!!! You're coming too! Hang in there with your leg. Sounds like you're doing the right things.

Have to go...again!

Good Evening.

I need a drink x( and I fully intend to have one after DS is in bed!}( It's just been "one of those days" where everything seemed to bug me, irritate me, aggravate me or just plain ol' piss me off! When I got home from the park I STILL wasn't feelin' giddy by any stretch of the imagination so DH decided I need to have a martini once Joey is down for the night, which by the way, will be VERY soon!:9 ;) }(

I also have a mountain of laundry to fold so the drink should make that a tad less painful. :p

DS seems to be in a stage where he almost does nothing but whine and cry about EVERYTHING. This may sound awful but I can hardly stand to be around him these days. Every hair on my arms stand on end when he starts up and I can't even think straight. x( That being said I am forgoing personals until he is bed...if I even have time by then. x(
I'm sorry, ladies!:-(

Well, GTG for now.
BBL I hope!
