2007 Ragbrai

Wish I could be attending the Cathe Road Trip this year. All of us
that can't be there are envious. Maybe next year.

But I am planning on riding my bicycle on Ragbrai this year. Ragbrai
is Registers Annual Greater Bike Ride Across Iowa. It is a 7 day event in July. It is the longest, largest, oldest touring bike ride in the world. I'm getting excited. We will have a team of about
12 with a theme name. It's gets pretty crazy, but a lot of fun.
There will probably be about 7000 bikers in all. I'm hoping I can do the whole week, but if not 3 days for sure. This is the next best thing compared to Cathe's RT.

Have fun! I am going to do a 35 mile ride in a few months and always feel like I have climbed a mountain after doing it. A week or three days! Double wow! You must be in fantastic shape and I wish you the best on a ride of a lifetime.

Diane - that sounds like a good time and I would like to try it myself some year. I grew up in Iowa and hosted many of the riders when they came through our town - we helped feed them and just really enjoyed meeting them. My husband and I bike but I'm not sure I'm ready for that kind of trek yet. Enjoy and stay safe!
