2 Day Split vs. One Body Part per day??

Hi Cathe & crowd!

I'm looking for some guidance on embarking on a different training style. Up until now, my weight training has been all Cathe at home. Since I have a couple months to kill before the intensity series I wanted to use this time to try gym style lifting. Now, aside from really having no set plan once I get there (still working on that), I'm curious as to how to structure my routine for muscle gains. I'm torn between either using an upper/lower body split (4 days a week, hitting each muscle 2x) using a pyramid system, OR, doing one body part per day. I'm mainly looking to increase muscle mass and define. I'd love to hear any suggestions or experiences on what's worked for others.

If it were me I'd do a 2-day split. Not for any physiological reason but that it takes time to park, sign in at the front desk, put your stuff away, etc. Why do that 5 times when you can just do it twice? Just my 2 cents. - Connie
