1st snow today

It snowed last night/today, the 1st of the season. My Xmas lights should be extra pretty tonight. I love the snow. The traffic however, ugh!!! It took me THREE hours to make the 45 min drive to work this morning, and its not like it was a huge storm or anything. You would think in the Chicago area people would be used to it and would know how to drive. Oh-well!! Just sit and look at the snow on the trees while I go nowhere. It really is pretty. I don't think we got enough to make a snowman tonight, though. Vlad seemed to enjoy our snowy walk last night, he was trying to catch the flakes. Maybe we can have a snowy dog romp later, with me, DS, DH and the dogger.

It is pretty, but I don't like driving in it. We had 8 - 10 inches by this morning. Sure hope we don't repeat last winter!

It's not our first snow, but definitely the most we've had and the most beautiful! There's a stone house across from mine that sits among tall, mature trees. It looks like a storybook. No fun to drive in, I agree, but it is gorgeous.

Snow is that white stuff that comes out of the sky? It is cold and windy here in the South. We might get snow in January, we are always behind the rest of the country in everything including snow!
