1RM test & Pregnancy

Cathlete
I am currently 2 months preganant. I'm wondering if it makes any sense to do my 1RM test now at my current fitness level, which is high. Or should I wait till after I have the baby. My concern is whether STS will be too hard as I get further along in my pregnancy. After I have the baby, I might have to do my 1RM again. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks, Mary

Great question mary! I too am pregnant (three months) and have preordered STS when it was first announced, before i knew of my pregnancy. I am thinking I wont be able to do STS when/if it ever arrives because i'll be too pregnant and wont be able to lift heavy safely. You really need to try to maintain your level in pregnancy, NOT do something harder to improve your current level. That was Cathe's advice. You need to stay healthy for your baby.
I plan to keep lifting but I guess i will eventually lighten the load. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Im thinking STS will be a great get your body back after baby type of work out. So far i'm lucky in that i havent gained much and im not showing yet but i still have six months to go.
Good luck! oh..i meant to ask Cathe this during the road trip but she was always so busy and so many people wanted to talk to her.
