Hey Challengers!

Happy Saturday, what is everyones plans? Saturday always seems to be a shopping/cleaning day:)
Im working all day! My inlaws are watching DS but they have company at the same time. She told me that if I don't mind, when I get off of work tonight she is gonna go straight home. I was soooo hoping that was gonna happen:) I just want to do my own thing. If she had been around it would have been the whole supper issue and Im thinking if I have the energy I may do another small run after DS goes to bed. In that case, supper as to wait, but with my MIL around she wants to make sure I put food in my pie hole!x(

Ameila** Sooooo happy to hear about your scale! Let us know how your measuring goes!

Todays workout was a 3 mile run,4 seg of DM (no cardio) and 4DSBC again. My HRM said I burned 440 cals which is pretty good but I think I burned more b/c there were times during my run that my HR dropped to like 112...and when I put my hand on my HRM it went up again. It also lost my HR during wall squats and things like that. Im gonna try changing the batteries cause its been acting a little weird!

Alright...I will bbl!

Lori:)

Ooohh, I'm tired this morning. I bartended last night at our bar and it was packed. This is GREAT, but makes for a tired morning. Tips were good, though, and goes right into my fitness bank for my next 'fun' purchase, whatever that may be.

I am not sure of a workout today, I need to go help DH over the lunch hour. We'll be flooded with snowmobilers so he'll need an extra pair of hands. ;-)

We are suppose to be getting another blizzard later this evening, so hopefully I make it home so I don't have to drive in it AND don't have to go anywhere. THEN, I'll be working out.

Have a great weekend everyone, i'm sure I'll be back.

Marcia.

Good morning, ladies!

Amelia-great job on that loss! Keep it up! You've come a long way, baby (to use that cliche, lol)!!!

Marcia-OH how I would LOVE a blizzard! We are really disappointed that we haven't gotten ANYTHING considerable all winter long! I can remember as a kid all the snow and the huge high drifts we had all winter long. What happened to all that?

Lori-great workout, as usual!!! If you had to pick just ONE workout, what would you do (pick one for cardio, one for weights). Just a little fun for ya! HA!

OK....yesterday was fun. The kids and I ended up going to Red Robin where I had a burger and fries. So yummy! The kids wanted the singers to come out so they did, and brought a little sundae. We all shared.

SO (starting to call him SO instead of BF) came over last night and we were up late watching a movie, then dozed off on the couch till abou 2:15am! lol He left, I went to bed, then got up at 7 for today's workout!

I did iTread 27 Ski Circuit first, then iTread 27 Drills, then kept running at a slower steady pace to get to 7 miles. I felt AWESOME today and really felt like I could just keep on going and going. But I figured 7 miles was enough for the day (and enough to HELP make up for the calories I'm going to eat when SO and I go out tonight! HA!)

My weekend plans: Today I have to help with our Spring Baseball sign ups (I'm slowly taking over running this league), then SO and I will be taking the kids to his ex and we'll hit the town. Tomorrow, I'm planning on a Sunday morning Cardio PARTY! I've just got a hankerin' for cardio lately, so I think I'm going to do Cardio Fusion for the first time in a LONG time. Either that or an all-step Cathe workout like Rhythmic Step or Step Blast. We'll see, but then I'll tack on abs.

BBL sometime today!

Happy Saturday!

Gayle

Good morning everyone! I'm not totally functional yet - trying to muster up the enthusiasm for a WO and let me tell you IT'S HARD! Kids are still asleep and probably will be for another hour or so - I should just jump on the elliptical and get it over with. Lowmax sounds like fun - I should get that in the plan for this week. At this point ANYTHING in the plan would be a good start.

My day is pretty much packed with errands - need to hit Target & the grocery store. Also need to drop my mom's old computer for recycling and try to find some black shoes for DS. DD of course wants some new shoes too...what can I say...she's a girl LOL! We're also going to try to hit the playground. It's supposed to be fairly warm today so that's DEFINITELY on the list!

Well, I'd better get going. I'll see you all tomorrow! Gayle, have a nice evening out and the rest of you enjoy your day!

Hi Everyone,

Todays workout will be timesaver blast #1 when I to come up with the energy level. Probably will be later this afternoon. I need to go to Wal-Mart before it gets packed. The weather is suppose to be nice so everyone will be out.

Haven't really thought out meals yet. Everyone have a good Saturday will report in later.

Marcia** when I cut hair I use to tuck all of my tips away:) Thats how I bought my wedding dress! And if I new in advanced that I was going into the city, I would start saving. It didn't take long to add up either. Im sure your tips are more plentiful though.

Gayle** So you do have a SO!LOL all this time I was reading your post thinking...does she have a BF(YET)? LOL I know you were single for so long and put your kids first (im sure you still do) It must be nice to have campionship back into your life again! You deserve it! Nice going yesterday! I don't think you did to much damage. AND if I were to pick just one workout it would probably be BM2.As a little bit of everything and I really enjoy that workout. I plan on doing it some time this week.

Andrea** Its hard to get up on a Sat morning while the kiddies are still tucked away. I don't get up unless I am woken up (only when I work) DS is usually up by 7:30 so there are no big sleep ins at my house anymore.

Roxie** Have fun with your workout. I just got back from Wally World and it wasn't to bad at all! I didn't find some of the things I was looking for but thats no big surprise.

O.k..I have my cross stitch ready to go. Just going to do a little more cleaning up before I get into it. Nice job hey?

Lori:)

Lori-you cross stitch? There was a period of about 4 years where I did it all the time, and it really helped me while I watched TV to keep my hands busy without stuffing my face with food! HA! As for SO...I KNEW somebody asked me if BF meant best friend or boy friend, I just couldn't remember WHO asked! HA! Yes, I've been seeing this guy since August. I was engaged for about 16 months but it started going downhill this past Spring (April of 07), and after much soul-searching, I finally broke it off with him. The guy I'm currently dating is a great guy, and he's SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good with the kids (he has 2 also). Patient, especially, and he plays WITH them (they BEG him to play Halo 3 and board games all the time) and we ALL have a blast. The "L" word is dangerously close to my lips, lol, and my BF (meaning BEST friend) and I were just saying yesterday that maybe tonight at dinner, I should have knock a few drinks back to loosen up and drop the "L" word! LOL What better excuse than to say I was drunk, just in case I freak him out! :) ANYWAY.......thanks for asking. We're having a BLAST together!

Gayle

Goooooddd Moooorrrnniinng Challengers !

Waaayyyy to tired this AM. TV "magically" didn't turn off when the timer was supposed to (????hmmmmmmm?????) so I kept waking all night, then after it went off (DH reset the timer), the clock/radio went off at 5:15, then the TV went back on at 6 (our M-F additional alarm - DH's watch goes off also) and finally, DH started snoring.

SO HERE I AM! Trying to wake up a bit before my WO. Got all my shopping done yesterday and . . . Costco has a great furniture roadshow going on. Dragged DH back there after work and he really really seemed interested this time. Have to figure out how to purchase the 3 rooms of furniture that we liked}(

Thank goodness I already got STS preordered :7

Amelia - way to go again ! So are you drinking your protein powders after your WO? A full serving (approx 25 - 30 grams of protein)? So glad you are doing so well.

Marcia - glad the bar was "hoppin'" last night for you. Yippee ! more fitness "stuff". <<<Crossing fingers>>> Hope you get home before the blizzard for safety reasons and so you get to WO !

Lori - glad you will get your "you" time today. Sometimes I wish DH had other things he liked to do so I had more. But he and DS play roller hockey on Thurs eves so if their game is between 8 & 10 PM I get the house to myself !

Gayle - glad to hear your birthday weekend has started off fun. Sounds like tonight will be even better - have a great time with "SO"
;)

Andrea - though I got my shopping in yesterday, think I will enjoy the sunshine today. We are supposed to have a great weekend also. Will have to get moving though cuz we are going out and will be leaving early afternoon. Have fun with the kids - I remember "park days" - I so love watching kids play. Can't wait until my grandson gets a bit older:7

Roxie - hope Wally World wasn't too bad - that was one of my stops last night. Have a good day.

Off to get the day moving along. Enjoy if I don't make it back.

Amelia – Great news on the scale! Woo hoo!! :)

Marcia – I don’t even want to hear the “B” word! LOL We had more snow last night and even though shoveling is a good workout, I miss my dvd workous! Are you supposed to get the bitter cold this weekend, too?

Gayle – Glad to hear you had such a good time on your birthday. You deserve it. ;-)

Andrea – I always have a hard time getting going on my workout on the weekend, too. During the week – no problem. I guess I feel like I have “all day” to get it in even though my weekends are just as busy as my week days.

Roxie – Hope you beat the crowds at Walmart. It gets crazy around here on the weekends. I’ll drive farther to go to another Walmart instead of the one closest to my house just because I know it’s not as crowded.

Lori – I’m surpised you cross-stitch, too. You seem to have so much energy it’s hard to imagine you sitting still! LOL (I mean that as a compliment.)

Jacque – Sounds like a wild night of no sleeping. I get those, too, occasionally. I’ll get paged and have to get up and signon for work, then one of the cats will puke and a kid will complain they can’t sleep. . . Thankfully it doesn’t happen very often. Hope you have a better night tonight and get all your errands done.

I enjoyed “27 Dresses” yesterday. It’s a nice light-hearted romantic comedy – exactly what I was in the mood for. Tired today. Shoveled twice, did PLB and then had Tae Kwan Do class. This morning I shoveled another 40 minutes. See why I’m sick of snow?! Going to Forms class in a little bit (TKD again) and want to get some cardio in this afternoon. We’ll see if I have the energy or not.

Sue

Helllllllllllloooooooooo Girls :) :)

Happy saturday.

I did my 5mile run at the gym. It was suppose to be an easy run but I turned up my speed a bit. I'm feeling very strong and my endurance is amazing. Who would have thought? :) I made sure while running not to let this one girl pass me at all. She has been in a few races --runs quite a bit. So I said "Oh no sweetie you won't be passing me even if I have to trip ya :) " }( Afterwards when I was stretching she walked over and said "Great job running Kath" So proud moment for me.

We didn't do anything last night. So I'm thinking tonight is the night we may hang with some friends.

I need to do some cleaning around here and make up a goodie package for the kids --one in college and one away doing her internship.

Tomorrow is weigh in day--I'm feeling slim--let's hope I feel that way tomorrow :)

BBL if I get a chance.

Gayle,

When you have protein pancakes for brkfst what do you eat with them.

Lori- I love to cross stitch and embrodery haven't done alot lately.

Rosie - was just checking back for a minute while eating my protein pancakes so thought I'd chime in while you wait to hear Gayle's response.

I make mine plain (no cinnamon, vanilla or Splenda) and then put 1/2 a cup of unsweetened applesauce with Splenda and cinnamon sprinkled on top.

Hey Roxie. I eat the protein pancakes just plain! LOL I love them reheated in the toaster. The outside is crunchy and the inside soft and warm. I take these to work with me. I toast them at home and put them in a plastic ziploc bag with the zip unzipped to let the steam escape. They sit from about 9:45am till I eat them at 12:15 or so. They're cooled off by that point (but still a tad warm) and moister because of the steam. They're not the BEST this way, but it's BFL and it works for me. HOWEVER, back to your original question...I eat them plain as-is. Nice and simple!

Gayle

I should always workout on Saturday mornings because by saturday nite I can easily talk myself out of it. What I meant on the pancakes is what do you eat besides the pancakes, do you eat it with fruit or toast or eggs? That is what I was asking. I bought the stuff to make them I just haven't done it yet.

Thought I'd stop back to report that I did the cardio portion of LIS today. Put the extra riser under my step to make it a little harder too. It was GOOD. We went to the playground this afternoon - walked up there (1/2mi each way) while the kids rode their scooters. They had a blast. DD is playing DDR right now - she should really sleep well tonight LOL!

I got most of the errands done - didn't hit the grocery store, but I don't think I really need that much stuff. I have plenty of meat and lots of frozen veggies. Tonight's dinner will be steak, either mashed or baked potatoes, and garlic-spiked broccoli w/ mushrooms (a new recipe, but it sounds good).

I still haven't managed to try the protein pancakes. I have a ton of multigrain waffles to use up first. The kids wanted me to buy them, but now claim they don't like them so I'm workin' on 'em myself. I like those w/ 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt and either blueberries or sliced strawberries.

OK, I'd better scoot - need to change over the laundry and get the meat defrosted for dinner. Will see y'all tomorrow!
