Good Morning.

Kathy, glad you had a great day with DH and good for you on your eating accomplishments!:)

I am supposed to go to the gym this morning for an elliptical or spin work out but I have basically been up since 3am after going to bed at 11pm. Needless to say I am not exactly FILLED with energy so I'll have to play it by ear for today. It's frustrating because today was supposed to be the official start of my new rotation and ofcourse something has put a monkey wrench in it before it has even begun!x( My poor lil' guy woke up around 3am and was up on and off until the moment I finally gave up and got out of bed at 5am. I never really was able to fall back to sleep in between...:-(

Good morning ladies,

Kathy-congrats on sticking to your eating plan!

Wendy- I know what you mean about the lack of sleep. for some reason ds#2 didn't go to sleep until 12AM:( . I am not a night owl so the lack of sleep is killing me right now. I am trying to wake up so i can get gymstyles bsb out of the way. I also plan on going to the gym later and trying the beginner spin class- we shall see.

Hopefully everyone else is having a better start to their morning.

Ladies - I feel for you, I so know how this is. I got my little GS when he was almost 6 months old - he had chronic ear infections unti he got tubes....I was up all hours a LOT and it was terrible - I am not a night owl either, usually when I am up early it is because he has wakened - I get him back to sleep and then I cannot go back to sleep!!! I hope both you ladies get some rest today and feel refreshed!

Good Morning Girls, today is gymstlye chest and tri's and some sort of ab workout. I haven't done gymstyle in sometime so I know tomorrow my chest will be fried with all those pushup's.

Kathy- I'm so glad you stuck to it this weekend. Are you seeing any progress yet with the new eating plan?

Wendy and SunnyD- I hope you get a cat nap in there sometime today. I feel for you girls. Been there and it is so draining on the body. The whole day sometimes seems to be off. I hope you can find the energy later.

Gloria

gloria- i too had on fittv while running on treadmill. just watching cathe motivates me:D

Kathy, you warrior you, you didn't eat any of the food you made....you are amazing!! I commend you!!

Do you really want the rhubarb custard cake recipe???? I suppose you could save it for company, and then have like a one square inch serving of it...LOL! ;)

Here's the link to it, it's the second recipe down. It won an award, and I can see why:

Wendy, you poor baby, darn it's so hard when your great plans gets goofed up by life. Hopefully you can somehow have success with that today!

SunnyD, I hope you can recover your energy for today too!

Karen, enjoy your GS workout, I'm hoping to start them in a future rotation. They rock.

Hi Gloria! And good morning to everyone else who hasn't shown up here yet!

Today is Body Max day for me, and I'm upping my calories a little this week in order to stop losing lean mass as I've done in the past 2 weeks. We'll see if that works! Eat well and work out hard...that's got to be a recipe for success!

Heidi :7

Ok, I'm done my gymstyle chest and tri. I'm happy I could still do all 72 push up's on my toes. I wasn't to sure since I haven't done this series since maybe November. Anywho it all still workout. I actually felt really good with the push up. Kind of like I could go futher down in the push up without struggeling to much.

Gloria- 5 miles is fantastic. Great cardio.

Heidi- Have fun with Body max and being able to eat more. Thanks for posting the recipes. I am passing them along to a friend who I gave the muffin recipe too. She is going to love love it.

happy to report i pushed thru my tiredness and also completed gs bsb, timesaver!!!

karen, i am doing gs chest & tri's tomorrow.

EDIT: make a mistake. no weights tomorrow, cardio at the gym.

Wendy- when you started spinning did you do a beginners class or did you just jump in a regular class? if so,was it hard?

Karen I'm so impressed with your pushups. I had to do some today and I have to do them on my knees and since I haven't been focusing on strength, I won't say how many I can do, 'cause it ain't anywhere near 72!!!! LOL!

Sunnyd, good going on doing your workout even though you were tired. You must feel relieved to get it done.

I did Body Max for the first time..........I had NO idea it was as long as it was!!! Oh my gosh, it was never ending. Now I'll know what to expect next time, so I'd better plan it better, I'm behind on my eating schedule now!

Today had better be a high calorie day in my zig-zagging!

Heidi

Hi. I'm back to answer Gloria's question and then I gotta do something constructive around here before DS gets up from his nap...LOL!

So my rotation consists of running alternated with some cardio cross training like elliptical, spin, rebounder and IMAX workouts plus I have included 3 endurance weight work outs per week:1 full body, 1 lower body only and 1 upper body only. I had a great plan all ready to go and it's already been officially messed up so it needs to be re-worked a bit but I'm still going to stick with the same basic plan. I've been inspired by the book I am reading though, so I will be trying to incorporate a couple more different types of running work outs into my rotation for more variety. :)

Off to get something done around here before I get "fired"! LOL ;)

I am hoping to be back on track and "spunkier" tomorrow!

Hi everyone! Today I did Body Max for the very first time and I didn't know it was 90 minutes long!! I started my workout late anyways, sort of after lunch and I think I came up from the basement around 2pm! My son said I was down there for almost 2 hours! Anyways, I did love the workout, I was just shocked at the length. Maybe it's a good thing I didn't know what was coming! LOL!

Did great on my eating, and really good on my water intake.

I've decided after this week that I should take a break from focusing on fat loss and will direct my attention to building some muscle. I'm going to do Cathe's Oct. '05 Upper Body Bliss rotation, which means Gym Styles and Slow & Heavy....woo hoo!

I'm excited because I could really stand to gain some strength! I'm looking forward to seeing my muscles pop!

Heidi :)

Good Evening ladies.

I finally worked up the energy to drag my butt to the gym after dinner. I ran 2 miles and then did my ITrain 20 min elliptical work out. I feel much better that I was able to get it done.:)
Tomorrow is U/B endurance and ab work compliments of Cathe }( and then a rebounder work out for some fun, light cardio.

Heidi,

I just came off of spending several weeks on strength and I saw some GREAT results from it! I don't have S&H but I used the GS series and PUB mainly and I am very pleased! I think that you will be too! Have fun!

Thanks Wendy. You know, I've never really done the Gym Styles long enough to experience what most everyone else experiences with them. I fell off the exercise wagon shortly after I bought them! So I'm really excited to see what happens.

S&H has never let me down for gaining muscle.

By the way, great workout!

Heidi

Thanks Heidi! Speaking of S&H...I have been hemming and hawwing over buying that one for months now...mainly because I know that will mean having to buy more DB's or a barbell and I don't know if I want to have to do that yet!WAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! lol :p I do need atleast a 20# single DB if nothing else, regardless of S&H, for some of the back work these days but I don't want to buy more than that right now....I guess I'll continue to hold off for now...

12-Week Check-in

I did not get a nap in yesterday afternoon, but that is okay because I slept like a baby last night. Speaking of which, I went to my mentor’s home and rocked her newborn granddaughter last night. She was born a month early, and she is the tiniest baby I have ever seen. She looks like a baby doll.

I was too tired to attempt 10*10*10 last night, so I did the warmup and step routine from Step, Jump, & Pump instead. I love those power jigs!

There has been a change of plans for my rotation. I still did not have enough energy to tackle the CTX Series this morning, so I decided to try a Timesaver rotation this week instead. If I like it, I will stick with it for 3 weeks then return to the CTX Series after my trip in June. My next 3 weekends are full, so this will actually work better.

I did Timesaver 1 for the first time. It is a good thing I love the step choreography from Step, Jump, & Pump! The weight work is good (but not as intense as the CTX Series), and I like the bonus footage. It will be interesting to see if my chest and triceps are sore tomorrow. There are a lot of pushups in this one. Mercy! I definitely did not do those on my toes. I enjoyed the workout, but it felt incomplete to me. I am a cardio lover, and this one was a bit too short for my taste. That was easy to fix. I added the cardio and stretch from Timesaver 4. Perfect! I love Kick, Punch, & Crunch. I definitely want the Body Blast Series on DVD.

Blessings,
Heather B.
