12 Week Challenge - 05/30

Annabelle2

Cathlete
Hey everyone - hope everyone is back! I was bad, I am lacking enough sleep but am ready for the day. All my food for the week is cooked and ready!!!! This week is an endurance week for me, my HIIT Cardio is raised to 5 days for 30 minutes plus warm up and cool down. My diet plan has more fibrous carbs added to the afternoon. I was so bad over the holiday ..... I forgot to take my food number one, then I lacked sleep which made me really hungry....combination was bad news - I hope I didn't wipe out all my results! I will have to do personals later I am getting everything ready and taking little GS to the doctor as soon as I can but I am trying to get ready before he wakes up again..... here is my report!
Plan for the Week:
M - Rest
T - Jari Love - Slim and Lean - HIIT for 30 min - jump rope - done 70 minutes 348 calories burned - HR 98 ave/155 max
W - TJ Fat Blaster plus 1 and 2 twice/Yoga from Book
T - Jari Love - Slim and Lean - HIIT for 30 min - jump rope
F - TJ Fat Blaster plus 3 and 4 twice/Yoga from Book
S - Jari Love - Slim and Lean - HIIT for 30 minutes jump rope
S - Long Yoga -- Trance Dance?

Food For Yesterday
Let me just say that I was mostly likely in calorie range for most days but not good on my micronutrients - I am so glad this holiday is over!

Well, My weekend plans were a bit foiled but that is OK. My poor little GS is sick again....he began to run fever as soon as we got out of town and it grew worse so we came home and we are going to the doctor today. I worked out very hard this morning but I couldn't do but 20 minutes of my HIIT - I have not jumped rope in a while and I was really tired -- either that or I haven't had enough sleep! Must do better tomorrow!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Good Morning!

Kathy, sorry about your sick GS. I hate it when kids are sick. :-( 30 mins of jump rope!? WHOA! Congrats on doing the 20 mins! That's fantastic..I don't think I'd get through 10!:p

Yesterday was my 40 mins ITread work out.

Today is a circuit...probably Boot Camp!}(

I gained weight (bloat and water weight no doubt!) from the weekend BINGE but I am already down 2 pounds since yesterday. WHEW! Hopefully I will be back to normal before the weekend.

Good morning Kathy and Wendy, and others to come. Sounds like we're all getting back on track really well. Kathy I hope your GS gets on the mend soon.

Today was supposed to be Imax 2 but I'm going to do CTX Step & Intervals instead because I'm not feeling up to an Imax workout and if I'm going to do a workout, I want to be able to give it my all.

Hubby's got me out walking with him in the evenings now, so my front shins are actually kind of sore, muscle-wise that is. I consider it a bonus workout, but for him it's finally got him moving!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Heidi :)

Good Morning Everyone!

Thought I would pop in and say howdie!:+ Quiet bunch today?
I was going to workout today but as the morning progresses I don't feel the best so instead I had a cookie and a glass of milk! hahaha

We are going house hunting today. And of course I have to show you gals the pic's.

Im not even sure if this one is in our price range but it is awfully nice inside.

I think the kitchen is smaller in this one. Oh well...we will see what happens. i don't think we will be making any jump decisions.

So how is everyone? What did I miss?

12-Week Check-in

I had a restful and restorative holiday weekend and had fun trying some new Kari Anderson workouts for the first time. It was good to hear Cathe’s voice again this morning! I did Timesaver 1 this morning and plan to add some extra cardio after work.

I dropped a pound last week. With the lack of sleep and shorter Timesaver workouts, I am very pleased with that result!

Blessings,
Heather B.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV).

RE: 12-Week Check-in

Good Morning, Kathy, Wendy, Heidi, Lori, and Heather. Glad to see we are all back in the swing of things. Today was a 50 min tempo run for me and 30 min of yoga. It is so hot here. I felt like I was just sweating from the time I woke up. Then I ate some oatmeal with a banana and 8oz of orange juice. I have a small scratch in my throat so I hope it doesn't turn into anything. I have a 5k Sunday.

Lori- The house looks beautiful. I love the hardwood floors and the granite counter tops. It makes me want to redo my own kitchen.

Heather- Great job on the weight loss. Your doing just great.

Kathy- Hope grandson is doing better.

Hi Wendy, and Heidi!!!

Have a great day everyone. I'm off to fill the girls kiddie pool.

RE: 12-Week Check-in

Heidi-Wise choice NOT to do an IMAX if you don't feel you are up to it!:)

Heather-Congrats on that lost pound! Keep losin' them, girl!:+

Lori-Well well, nice of you to join us today young lady!:p Nice house chica! DH and I will probably be joining you in the house hunt in the near future...we are probably going to put this house up for sale at some point this summer!

Karen-Have fun swimming with your girls!:+

BC was out of the way before 9am! The kitchen and bathroom floors are washed and DS is napping. Once the floor is dry I am considering heading outside with a book for a bit. Need a bit of a tan before going on vacation anyway so that I don't get fried!

RE: 12-Week Check-in

Karen,

DS has never "beached" it yet we live a block off the beach! I'm not very fond of the beach we live by. It makes for nice walks with the dog and a pretty view but it's the bay and some how the thought of swimming or playing in the sand there is not appealing. It's not a lifeguarded beach so maybe there is a reason for that! LOL We will definately have to get DS to the beach this summer. He was on grass for the first time this weekend...didn't like it. Must have felt funny to him. We laid a towel down and he wouldn't leave the towel once he realized the grass was all around it!:p

Wonder how he'll feel about sand???
I know I HATE sand. I put up with it cause I like to go to the beach but I find nothing more gross then having sand on me...gives me the willies just thinking about it!:p :p

RE: 12-Week Check-in

Hi ladies,

Just wanted to check in to say hello to everyone today. Seems like we all ate alot of crap this weekend, lol. ah-well, i guess it can't be helped. these things are going to happen.
i also see we have all jumped back on the wagon and are doing great today.
later on this evening i am going to the gym with dh to TurboKick, baby!! LOL. i can't wait, i had so much fun last week.

Wendy-ds#1 loved the beach since day 1. i am anxious to see how jaden does with the sand and water:D

RE: 12-Week Check-in

My one daugher ( on her first trip to the beach) would constanly eat the sand. It would drive me nuts. She would put it up to her face and we would take her hand and say no and then two seconds later she would shove a fist full in her mouth. The problem is that she didn't mind it. If she would have tasted it and spit it out that would have been good. She just kept doing it for days , then her parents got smart and went to the pool. LOL Karen

Just saw your post sunnyd. I had one who loved sand two who liked it. I had one water baby and two who wouldn't go near it. It is so funny when they are that little to see how wide there eyes get to see the ocean.

Kathy,

I hope you see this.

I just got a Collage Video catalog in the mail. I'm thinking about picking up Jari's Slim and Lean myself. I read the description and I like it. I have the Slim Series but just can't get into it. It's PAINFUL! LOL The music stinks and Debbie has NO RYTHM AT ALL! She drives me INSANE!!!:7 :7 :7 I'll probably get rid of them on Ebay one of these days...I keep trying to talk myself into keeping them and doing them but I just can't...x(

So anyway...are you happy with Slim and Lean? Is there anything that you find ANNOYING about it? }(

One of my other gripes about SS is that there are lots of times when Debbie just goes WAAAAY too fast! I am incapable and even if I COULD follow her I'd be afraid I'd HURT myself! I am hoping Jari doesn't do that...

I am going to preview it before I buy it but those clips are so short it's sometimes hard to tell.

TIA!:)

Kathy, hope GS starts feeling better. Being sick is so hard on little ones. I pulled out the jump rope this morning today too. My step workout got derailed because the DVD kept shutting off so I opted to finish with jump rope because I didn’t want to change into running shoes.

Wendy, isn’t it great when the bloat disappears quickly like that? Hope you got your book time in. It sounds like you had a busy morning. The blanket thing with ds is cute. Bet you didn’t know you had an invisible play pen?

Heidi, great job adding walking with DH. I wish I could get mine active with me. We use to mountain bike together about 8 years ago and I would love to get back into that.

Lori, the house pictures are very nice. Have fun house hunting. How’s the belly? Starting to show much yet?

Heather great job on another pound lost. Keep them melting away.

Karen, keep the vitamin C going to help soothe that throat. Hopefully you are not coming down with something before your race.

Sunnydelite: hope your gym class went well. TurboKick sounds fun. I haven’t participated in a group class in years (except the Cathe road Trip). I really should check out what’s available at my gym.

Hello to anyone else who checks in. Tonight’s plan is to get a good nights sleep and get in a really good workout in the morning, since I didn’t get in the one I wanted this morning

Wendy -- Sorry I dont' have time for personals -- little one is still fussy and tugging at me but i wanted to answer Wendy before tomorrow.

The only thing that might bug you is before she begins each section they show form. I know form and it does not bother me, I just stretch or drink water it isn't long and we aren't doing cardio anyway.....I love the workout I like Jari Love -- she is not like Cathe but I love her personality anyway. She is professional but shows different ways to do the exercises with modifications and preferences. I see the workout as one I will use always - like a Cathe workout I believe it is a good investment - I don't buy workouts often by any other instructor than Cathe. I find nothing annoying and I find it challenging but let me let you know that as far as workouts go, if the workout is professionally done, if it is a good solid workout, and the instructor isn't as chatty as Denise Austin (no offense meant) then I will usually like it. Music usually does not bother me but it is nice to have, I usually don't notice it unless I am doing cardio because I am concentrating on my muscle and execution and keeping my core tight. So I say BUY it -- I don't think you will have any trouble selling it if you don't like it. I don't think it is particularly like SS - it is much more professional like Jari is a trainer and it is probably something like a Cathe and SS Mix???? Any I love the workout! I don't think you will be disappointed! Wow -- I talk too much -- got to go!

Thanks for the run down on the work out Kathy! I'll give it a shot and let you know what I think! I'll probably order it tomorrow! }(

Hi everyone. I had planned on doing Step & Intervals but accidently started 10-10-10 before I realized it wasn't my planned workout! LOL! It was certainly tough enough for today's level of energy. I also did The Bar Method's Designer Sculpting which gave a good burn in my quads.

Lori, I loved the pictures of that house and all that hardwood flooring. I hope you find something nice and affordable.

Wow, lots of posts today, I like seeing that! I hope everyone has a great evening and all colds and such go away.

Heidi :)
