The DAILY CHALLENGE for 11/2, Friday is:

Log everything that you eat. Also log drinks with calories (like
sodas, shakes, etc.....but not water or diet soda or coffee
or crystal light). YOU MUST WRITE IT DOWN. Eat all you
want...* just log it * .

Next level challenge if you are up to it: record the calories
and/or nutritional information

Final level challenge: POST YOUR RESULTS on this thread


But by the end of the day, we hope to see everyone check back in
that they at least LOGGED every morsel of food they put in
their mouth


TIP: I go to www.calorieking.com to find out calorie counts of
foods. Yes, I even would find calorie counts of candy !!!

Uh oh, I can't do this one. I vowed I would NEVER count calories. I've tried to use those calorie counter deals before and it drove me absolutely nuts! For me, meals are about relaxing and winding down. Nope, I won't track calories. But I'll be your cheerleader if that's what you want to do http://bestsmileys.com/cheering/4.gif
 
I'll be happy to log everything I eat, but I won't be counting the calories. I've got a messy history of doing that and don't want to get back into it.

Tomorrow night I'll be sure to post everything I ate.

Just a warning: It ain't gonna be pretty!!!...... :p

I'm up for logging. But I won't be counting all the calories. Be prepared to be amazed at the sheer amount of food I can shove down my gullet in one day ;)
 
I'll log, but I don't have time to count calories. I pretty much eat the same thing everyday for breakfast and lunch anyway. I could probably do most of my log right now. LOL.
 
Unfortunately I had to start counting calories because if I did not, my mind would begin tricking me into thinking that little piece of candy or cake "won't hurt". And then I would always wonder why I was not losing weight !! So for me, logging is a good thing. I keep a GENERAL TRACK of my calories and carbs. I also try to measure everything becuase my default state is to just splurge.
 
Ha - today is not the day for this one...

Breakfast: One pancake ( medium size ) - peanut butter on top ( of course ) and a smidge of syrup..i really don't like syrup, so I really don't use much

Snack: Two pieces of twizzlers

Lunch: Tortilla filled with ( chicken, rice, black beans, salsa, guac and sour cream ) yummmmmmm :)



I have just challenged myself to cut out sweets - so no more chocolate or anything for 30 days. My boss started bringing in all sorts of chocolate lately, so I am getting on track again before the holidays or before I notice it going to my 'wasteline'....get it "waste" :7 :7

I found this on page two, so I'm posting to drag it back here. Nothing to post yet but a cup of black coffee for me. I usually have breakfast at work. See you there.
 
I'm eating my cereal and banana and writing it down!!

I wonder if the fact that I have to write things down and report them to youse will make me think twice about what I'm putting in my mouth?
 
I'm headed to break/breakfast. I already had 24 oz of water and a cup of coffee. Breakfast will be 20 oz water, large coffee, WW english muffin with crunchy soy butter and homemade strawberry jam and half a banana. I'll be back for lunch.
 
Oh count me in... I'll just tally everything in Spark People. I've stopped counting calories only because I found I obsessed about everything. But, I'll do it every now and again to make sure I'm not fooling myself. :+ So, today will be that day.

I did not eat any candy or sweets yesterday - I was pretty proud!
 
Count me in - just don't make me count calories! x( Just cannot be arsed with that I'm afraid.

So far: one cup of coffee with semi-skimmed milk, one bowl of cereal (dried cranberries, raisins, dried raspberries, wheat and oat flakes) with semi-skimmed milk.

Now off to raid the cupboards for lunch!

BTW, I did yesterday's challenge!
 
Okay, I'm in too. I won't be counting calories either, though. Too much work.

So far today I've had:

Bowl of Quaker Oatmeal Squares with soy milk
Banana

Oh, and I was successful with yesterday's challenge too! :D
 
I can do this one!
I'm actually going through my cooler right now. I work 9 to 6 today so i have all my meals handy:
Let's see... 2 apples,
3 cups of saute red and white cabagge, zuchini,carrots,radishes, red and white onions, garlic in some e.v.o.o and about 2 cups of beans (wow! it's going to be a stinky night!!!:p i didn't think about that! poor DH!):eek:
1 cup of baby carrots,
1 pear,
1 handful of raw almonds
and if by the time i get home I'm hungry for dinner (wich I"m sure I will),
A slice of organic whole wheat pizza (spinach and feta) with chicken breast on top (for a protein boost)and side of steamed aspargus...
Goodness! i have water in my mouth!
AH! and 3 liters of water (besides the 500ml I drank this morning doing Legs and Glutes) I always do good with water.
And DH is having the same, (I pack his cooler too).
And I guess I should add a piece of candy or two because I just can't say no to it!:7

That is the whole point !!
 
I know this is tedious, ladies, but this is the only thing that works for me time and time again as far as achieving my goals. At least they're just asking for calories. I also used to track fat, protein, carbs and fiber. I really don't do it anymore but when things get out of hand, I whip out a notebook and start writing again. Here's what I've had so far today:

2 slices of Arnold Double Fiber Whole Wheat Toast
1 tbsp reduced fat Hellmann's mayo
Imitation Lobster meat
Onion
Lemon Juice
Spinach
Above = about 300 calories
Banana - 105 calories
Fiber One Bar - 140 calories

Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Grilled Basil Chicken - 290 calories, 6 grams of fat

Snack - Yogurt, 60 calories, 0 fat
Snack - Almonds - 160 calories, 14 grams fat

Dinner - 2 slices of pizza - 544 calories, 20 grams of fat
Possibly Turkey Hill Reduced Fat Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream - 120 calories, 3.5 grams of fat

Not perfect, but then Fridays never are for me.

so far today, I have had:

Breakfast: my morning 'healthy' oatmeal/egg white/soymilk pancake with jelly and syrup, coffee

snack: Heart Thrive raisin bar

ETA: oops, forgot to say I had 6 pieces of spree candies !! ( i am guessing about 40-50 calories)


Not yet time for lunch !!!
 
Yay for Emily!

Lunch was natural PB and J on whole wheat, baby carrots and grape tomatoes and a big fruit salad of fresh pineapple, raspberries, strawberries and banana.

20 oz water and coffee
 
I can't wait to post tonight what I've eaten all day so you can all see what massive amounts of sugar I can consume in one day...
