I have found many uses for my Yoga mat in addition to Yoga..here they are!! I have a wood floor in my exercise room!
1.) I like putting my Yoga mat just under my step so that is cushions my step down a little without getting in my way.
2.) I love to do forward and backward lunges on my sticky mat, as my feet don't slip at all and I feel more secure..esp when Cathe does those jump lunges...that we all love so much!!
3.) I stick my Yoga mat under my Elliptical machine to keep it from sliding on my wood floor...works great!!
4.) I also use my Yoga mat under my chair when doing pull-ups on my pull-up tower..keeps the chair from sliding out from under my foot.
5.) I use my Yoga mat to hold my dumbbells in place when doing push-ups..that way they don't slide out from under me
6.) I love my Yoga mat for abs...esp Cathe: Pikes..nothing slides where it is not suppose to..I also like it to hold my exercise ball in place, so it does not slide out from under me...I also like the mat for planks..keeps your arms and feet from slipping...
7.)I also like lining up my weights on my Yoga mat..that way they don't scratch up my floor in my exercise room.
8.) I also like to use my yoga mat for any plyometeric tuck jumps..as it cushions your fall back to earth.
9.)I like using my Yoga mat to hold my high step in place when doing the floor work...when you have one foot on the step and the other one in the air..seems like the step always slides away from me...the mat holds it in place...
10.)The Yoga mat works great when doing Cathe's Bootcamp...esp with the Terminators...that way your feet are not sliding all over the place...
