10# Melters: Sunday!~~

Good Morning Melters:

I did the 4DS Legs & Core work. I like this because there are no dreaded Low Ends!x(

DH & I are going out for breakfast. I did have my protein shake after working out and I will be careful with my choices. He came home a day early from hunting. I guess none of the others were going to stay for today so he decided to come home too. We will be doing some food shopping for Thanksgiving dinner and things around here to get the house ready.

It's a beautiful day here. Sunny but very cold. As I am sitting here the leaves from our big Norway maple are falling. They are a pretty golden color and the sun just makes glow!

Have a great fall day!

Deb

Good Morning

Deb- When you mentioned your cold, leaves and sunshine I had to see where you were from. We have the same beautiful morning going on. We am just up the Thruway from you. :)

Today is a rest day. DS surprised us and came home a day early! We were just leaving to get a bite to eat with youngest DS, and he pulled into the driveway.

Good morning!

Deb and Judy - we had some gorgeous weather yesterday, but today is overcast. But you know, I wish it would rain. Normally everything is wet, wet, wet this time of the year. But it's still so terribly dry - the creeks are dry, the ponds are still low... well, I guess there's nothing I can do to change Mother Nature's mind.

I measured and weighed yesterday but just couldn't find the time to get online and post. Anyhow, all is well. Nothing has changed except my left bicep, which is losing mass from not being used! I haven't done curls for quite some time, so that's to be expected.

I need to watch my eating though. Just because they haven't changed doesn't mean they won't! I think I relaxed just a little too much this weekend!

Morning Melters,

Sunday is our brunch day, will avoid the dreaded bread basket and butter, and stick with soup or salad.:) I did an hour of cardio yesterday, walking and the elliptical. Today am thinking about trying BodyMax2-have never done this workout because the step portions look too tricky, but we will see.
My diet has been okay, had a glass of wine last night in the bathtub, it was good.:9 And some frosting-I picked it off a cookie-not so good I know, but the rest of the day was terrific!:)

I have a sore throat and am starting to cough stuff up, I NEVER get sick, so will do battle with my trusty vitamin C all day and see if I can knock it out before it really takes hold.

Fall is my favorite time of year, it is actually getting "crisp"here, well as "crisp" as Vegas can get! I have guest coming down this evening and will have them arriving all week long into next Saturday, so a busy week planned for sure.

Don't worry about losing mass,it takes months before that happens! And you guys have a great time at your breakfasts...

I think I will treat myself to a mani-pedicure this afternoon. That always makes you feel "put together". Everyone have a wonderful Sunday!

Hello melting people (sounds like snowmen when I put it that way)!

I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving already. Eek! It's DH's favorite holiday so I'll try my best to give him the yummy food he wants. I'm going to make all his favorites and skip some of my faves if they aren't his as well. Unfortunately the only favorite of his that I don't also like is the yams with marshmallows on top thing.

Yesterday was my rest day and today I'll be doing upper body & core--maybe PUB or a premix from the 4DS or from BM2.

I did pretty well on eating yesterday until last night when Brian brought some Doritos to the couch and I indulged in some with him. Darn DH! I really need to be more careful with the eating since my cardio is limited. Tomorrow I have another physical therapy session.

We're apparently still a little sick around here; DS Isaac and I both have low fevers today.

Deb & Judy--beautiful day in southern New York, too! I'm way down in Rockland County (still somehow considered upstate by those in NYC :p).

Shannon, go pump up that left bicep! I'm so disgusted at how big and bulging my DH's biceps are even though he hardly works out. Testosterone and a heavy briefcase, I guess.

Tneah, sorry to hear you're getting sick, too--hope you can fight it off. I feel like I've been sick for ages. That on top of my lingering ankle injury is so annoying.

Hello to all who stop by later! I've gotta go make lunch for the boys.

I can't believe it's sunny in Buffalo and snowing in Williamsport,PA! It's been snowing since about 8am and there is a couple inches out there. It is so pretty.

I can't say I've been very careful with my eating this weekend, but I can say my portions have been OK. For me, that's half the battle. I just finished Tracey's Step Sweatfest. I was so disappointed yesterday. I ordered Tracey's new step workout, but what came in the mail was her three part strength workout. I emailed her, but haven't heard back yet.

Judy, are the boys home for the rest of the week? Tristan will be home Wed through next Monday.

Shannon, good news about your measurements. I'm also glad to hear about the small but steady increases you are adding to your workouts and that they have been free of pain. My knee seems to be improving. Of course, I was vacuuming yesterday, while holding the baby - probably not such a good idea. I tripped over the cord and in making sure not to fall on Greyor, I went down on my bad knee and my butt. Luckily, no more damage then a slight bruise. Greyor didn't even seem to notice our quick drop in elevation.

tneah, may I ask what you and your DH do? You always are having guests and I assume it is business related.

Hi Lanie. I stopped buying those munchies I can't refuse. If DH wants them, he has to buy them himself, which he rarely does. I hope your family is healthy by Thanksgiving.

I guess I should go shower and get ready for pizza night. I think I'll take some leftover pasta, asparagus thingie for my own dinner.

Hello All:

Those darn Doritos Lainie! My DH did the same thing. I ate two and then I popped some low-cal popcorn. To be honest, I hated every minute of eating it -- but I was so full after eating the popcorn that I didn't want his Doritos. It is so much easier when they aren't in the house!!

After putting off working out all day -- I finally decided just to do it!! I had Bootcamp Tivo'd from FitTV. Oh my gosh! That was killer -- but I LOVED it. Since it is the shorter version -- I can't even imagine doing the entire thing. I even remember once a thread about some of the Cathe ladies doing in twice in one day. I just want to get through it without all the modifications. I hate that I can't do push ups on my toes. I go through six of them, then had to drop to my knees.

I'm asking Santa for stronger arms!! :)

Deb -- I'm tossing around the thought of buying 4DS. No low ends -- now there's a bonus. Plus, I HATE cardio -- but maybe I'd be better at doing it knowing that I only had 30 minutes of it. I think that's why I really liked Bootcamp today -- I can do anything for "one minute". :)

Plus, I've never followed a rotation -- which is why I probably don't ever get the results I'm looking for. This way, for 4 days a week, I'd be following a rotation.

Michelle

Hey everyone,

Just a quick note, I am getting sick or something, yuk.
Hope you all are having a great weekend. I managed to complete that Power 90 series (Tony's series before the "X") the Upper, Middle, Lower body tape. It was actually a nice change of pace for me, I followed that with Windsor Pilates Bun and Thigh tape-another oldie but goodie!

Robin, we have a supplement/beauty company based in Salt Lake City (my hubby is a partner) but we live here in Vegas. We have business meetings here at the house (it's a pretty big and houses these things quite well), so every other week at least, there are people down, plus folks love coming because its Vegas baby!:p

Michelle, get the 4DS you will not be disappointed.

I want to do more personals, but will wait til tomorrow, thinking of you guys and am jealous of that snow!
