So i printed a 1 rm chart from the website. It shows stars on it and the more stars the more important i assume. I still have a few to go, but i am getting antsy to start! Is worth waiting till all the 5 stars are completed? Do i have to test all of the exercise on this sheet wheter its one star or 5? any suggestons? thougts ...ideas?????

No, you don't have to test for all the exercises. I only did the 5-star ones. If you've been lifting for a while you pretty much know how much you can lift. Go ahead and start STS and you can adjust your weights if you feel what you have is too easy or too hard. Keep in mind you want the weight to be challenging enough that you can hardly do one more rep when you're done with each set.

Another thing that I did was look ahead at the cards for that week and do 1 or 2 1RM before starting the actually work out for that day. In other words, on day 1, disc 1, I would look to see what I was missing on disc 2 and 3. Perform a couple of them and then do my work out. I would do the same on my cardio days.

Take good notes during your workout...

First time I did STS, I did the 1RM testing. Sometimes it helped, sometimes it didn't (sure most of that was user error on my part, but still).

IMO, the *most helpful* thing to do during STS is to keep a record of the weight you used for each move during each workout, and also how you felt with that weight--too light, too heavy, just right. Then, the next week when you repeat that muscle group you can review your notes and modify accordingly. For my "note pad," I printed each STS workout card and put them all in a binder. Plus, if you do STS again you can use your notes as a guide, to see the progress you've made, etc.
