1 rep max question for multiple exercises

I apologize if this question is repetitive, I have found plenty of online calculators but I'm just a bit unclear on a couple of items.

I guess what I'm looking for is if others who have figured their 1RM, or know how to, can give some suggestions as to the best way to figure your 1RM for multiple exercises.

My specific questions are:

1. To find your 1RM, do you literally lift the very heaviest possible once? Or do you lift a heavy weight that you can only do 8 to 10 max reps, then use the online calculator to figure the 1RM number?

2. Can you do a full workout of 1RM tests? Or is it better to do a couple of exercises a day?

Thanks for any advice you can give!

When you d a 1RM test you should select a weight that think you can only do about 10 times with good form. Then perform the exercise and enter you results in the 1RM calculator.

You can test for multiple exercises in the same day, but you need allow time for recovery and you may want to select exercises that don’t use any of the same primary or secondary muscles if they are performed back to back. You should always allow at least 5 minutes rest between exercises using any similar muscles so your body’s energy cycles will have time to replenish.
